Hi,
I just uninstalled MM taskmanager, and everytime I boot up my device I get an error say "File 'MMTaskManagerHook' could not open.", how do i fix this? tried a search in registry for MMtaskmanager, and could only find a .lnk to it also tried a reg-cleaner.. how do I remove this annoying thing?
Check in Windows\Startup
Futher information... by deleting 'MMTaskManagerHook' , you only delete the popup error window, not the actual program.

Hi to all,
am using IPAQ 6365 and attempt to remove the foftware unsucessful. stored in sd card, deleted from remove program and window DKtoday.dll but still exist. From PC also deleted in the add/remove program failed.
Please advise and any input is much appreciated.

Yes, I did uncheck and icon is not display on Today page and also to make sure program is not in running mode but still in the SD storage

need to borrow from friend and try deleting will keep posted. suspect this software crashes or conflict with others. very reluctant to do a hard reset may wipe off certain files....
Anyway thanks for your input and what's your opinion on this issue whyy cannot be deleted????
hello, i am trying to delete FTouchFlo from my startup folder and i get the "cannot delete 'FTouchFlo' there has been a sharing violation. The source or destination file may be in use." error. why is this? i want to delete it because it is causing me certain problems. thank you to anyone who can help me with this problem.

I dident download a ROM though, I downloaded the touch-commander cab and got tired of all the stupid messages I would get due to it being the trial version, and UNinstalled it, but the FTouchFlo is still stuck in my startup folder. and because of it, the original FTouchFlo will not work. please don't tell me I gotta do a hard reset to get rid of if!!!????

Having you tried browsing your device with your PC and delete from there...also use something like phm task to see if there are any hidden tasks running related to it..also ensure your registry is cleared of it....If I were you I would make a HR my last resort....thats my 2 cents worth. GOOD LUCK.

i got it fixed today. this was a lil wierd. i had touch-commander installed(trail versiom) and when i unintalled it, the FTouchFlo file was stuck in the startup file. and it would not delete. all i did in case anybody else ever runs into this problem, i intalled the original htc cube and then uninstalled it and bingo, i was able to delete it outta there.
A heads up for you guys, since you would probably like this functionality for your Vox's.

Hmm... You guys tried unlocking your phone with the "SDA Unlocker" app floating around ? That should do the trick.

Been there, done that...I also used the Security Configuration Manager from Microsoft to disable security to check if it would solve this issue but nothing happened :S

I did it also, but nothing happened
it may interest all you vox owners (like myself), that I have looked thru the coding of that cab and have been coding all the nessesary bits for it to work on our phones. I'm still working on the cpr file (the one that positions everything), and then I will cab it all up. im still trying to contact the developer to see if he knows whys its not installing thou (and to make sure its okay to poke around in his file!)

I've just noticed the developer has changed his use of the TestUIPlugin slide for the use of the welcome screen slide, due to reliability and positioning, BUT I personally use the welcome slide for shortcuts, and have had no issues with the testuiplugin slide, plus I notice the welcome screen cannot refresh like the testui one can, so i'm sticking with it. If anyone is interested in my cpr file, or others, I can post them.

So.. is it possible to install the weather plugin on the Vox? Please post the cpr file or whatever is needed to install it.
If you go the original thread in the Excalibur forum, you can download the cab there and install it on your Vox. It uses the WelcomeCenter plugin which is already properly formatted for the Vox as well. Go download it and try it
I tried every version posted in the Excalibur thread and it doesn't install. It says i don't have sufficient permissions. Rebooted, tried again and still nothing...
EDIT: Found the original version and it still does not install...

The solution I found to make it work is to install everything manually including the creation of the registry keys... :| :S ....but it works now ;P
Well, now I have an issue: everytime the weather updates, my start menu dies...it just stops working...

I already said that didn't work as the other user also said...I had to install everything contained in your cab files manually to make it work...
My bad.. didn't see that part. Well how does it look in portrait mode ? Is it messed up ?

until now everything looks good even in portrait mode...the only issue that sometimes happens is that when I update the weather, sometimes the start menu stops working...I click in the start menu and nothing happens...I have to reboot to make it work again...

It says "Version Check failed" and every App also has the status "FAILED".
Does it work for you?
Am I the only one?
How can I fix it? I already reinstalled it, didn't help.
I use AppToDate 2.081218.

Try updating over the air or via wifi. I frequently get that result when I try to update when plugged in via activesync.

I'm always using wifi for AppToDate. This way I'm getting the error messages.

Now I can browse using IE thanks to your help (see this thread, I had "Proxy Auto Detection" enabled). Do you think AppToDate cached the proxy setting somewhere?

I have an htc fuze with RRE 5.8. Apptodate only worked once for me. Since then, I get an error message when I open apptodate saying unexpected error: add failed. duplicate key value supplied. Any suggestions?
Solution : Delete all \Application Data\ApptoDate
Rename all xml files in \Application Data\AppToDate\ folder to *.xmlvip
Then start ApptoDate application of that works then rename one xmlvip to xml. Start app >> if that work then rename next till you find culprit xml file.
In my case file was freeandfun.xml I deleted and now app works great for me.
WTF is this??? Anything I try to download from Internet Explorer produces this result, no matter the file type. I checked security settings and there is nothing that helps. I am on Windows mobile 6.5... IE in this OS is such garbage...I'm just trying to upgrade my Google Maps...Help!

I'm starting to think the memory has gone bad in my HTC Touch Vogue... every cab I try to install now says "installation unsuccessful". GRRR

appreciate the links but I guess I do not have enough knowledge to be able to translate that into a solution. I made no changes to the registry so I don't know why this happened all of a sudden. I did a search before for the title of my thread and all that came up was a bunch of stuff for internet explorer on the desktop, nothing helpful. Oh well.
