hi, ive searched but cannot find any cab files that contain decent taskbar (upper and lower) for the home screen. i see loads of screendumps where people have neat icons but i cant find any cabs, any ideas ?? thanks

I cant seem to find any either, i think most of them come with Roms, but cabs for some of these would be great

or just try 6.5 task bar, or and variation of.
Look for "Devotion", Brian´s taskbar, this forum is FULL of diff. taskbars
just use the search funtion in upper right corner and take Your time.
Everything is free here and desigend by real artists but at least You have to invest SOME time to search and READ (!!!!) the entire threads if the different cabs are applicable to Your specific ROM and WinMo-version !!!
This forum is the biggest supermarket for apps and mods but as with big supermarkets with overwhelming choice it needs time to find the specific item You are looking for

So I've got the ameo just done all my updates now running WM6.5 With 1.58
Trying to find a good skin/theme but the screenshots of the themes and whats actually displayed on my phone are completely different.
I cant seem to get the look I want.
I'm after that Manila 2.1 thats on the forum but it wont install or run.
I do have a theme installed but the home page widgets dont display properly its just a scroll bar with each section (voice mail, email etc)
Are there specific themes for my device?
First, specify for what the theme should be - Titanium, Manila or OS itself?
Then, instead of opening a new thread, leave a comment in the thread where you got the theme from, so it's more likely to get an answer.

i want this sort of image (although in an ideal world would look less paint edited)

There currently isn't a solution for different backgrounds on different tabs. You can either have one for the home tab, or one for all of them.
Since touchflo has been around for quite some time and no-one's ever had different backgrounds on each tab, I don't expect to see it any time soon.
If you'd be interested at a background on all tabs, have a look at HDWall. Just be aware that you'll need to install the high quality cab (in the first post) in order to use cabs created with HDWall correctly.

you could do this using the background for all tabs cab. use the wallpaper as your homescreen and you`ll see it on the other tabs too. if your wanting a homescreen wallpaper and this seperate for the other tabs i dont know how you would do that, someone on here will know. the background for all tabs is in the mods sticky top of this forum

Clocks are readily available all over this section of the forum, just search clock and you'll have 100's of options.
Install cookies home tab or max manilla to gve yourself more options...
Different bg's for each tab.............. I've seen a cab somewhere that will display your today screen bg behind all the other tabs but I cant remember where... its in here somewhere though......

You have a lot for work to do:
1. Install Co0kie's Home Tab + CHT Editor - MUST haves
2. Install clocks (there are tons, you MUST do a search)
3. If you like to have the same background in all tabs not just home screen, install HDWallS (wallpaper browser) and the correct HDWalls patch. There are a lot of pre-made cabs already but you can always make your own if you install the PC version of HDWalls on your comp. Just search for HDWalls and detailed instructions are there.
4. Check out the LEO TODAY thread so you can see what other people have done and a lot of cabs are there too.
5. With everything else that you feel like doing on and to your phone, I cannot stress enough the you MUST SEARCH first and post a new thread last.

First, I will give you the MOST important advice. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE find a program like SPB Backup (it one is not free, but its restored my phone back to the latest settings i liked)... make a backup of your device and save it on your SD card. You don't want to make a mistake, delete a manila file while modding your phone, then try to remove the mod cuz you don't like it. not all the mods are perfect. Having to HARD RESET, will delete everything and restore you back to STOCK SETTINGS. I've personally done this countless times and spend 3 hours reinstalling apps and setting up my cookie HT icons and email, wifi. its a real pain in the butt. Even SK tools has a backup feature. it takes 4 minutes and it saves your tale! If you're forced to do a Hard reset, just restore your backup. also do another backup when you like the particular setup with mods on your device
You may want to do a little research on HDWalls with Cookies HT 1.8, this gives your device transparent bars top and bottom or simply places the wallpaper behind the whole screen removing the top and bottom black bars. its a very clean look. however you do lose the ability to give every screen its own wallpaper except the start menu.
DINIK's Slider, Keyboard, Phone Dialer, and CHT Clock are highly recommended!!! He also makes all black and white icons come to life with color!
look into transparent mods... there's a ton! i have at least 40 installed. Use BSB tweaks and Touch tweaks.
Hi fairly new to the whole WinMo apps etc, ie installed CHTE and played around with it a bit to get it how i like but cant see how to change the top Start Bar and the lower "Phone and Menu" to be transparent. Any help or pointing me in the right direction would be great, i have searched for CABs that should do it but they dont seem to do anything, maybe because i have the CHTE installed but im not sure
Did you install Co0kie's Home Tab 1.8.5 as well?
CHTE is the editor which allows you to control the different parameters for CHT, but is useless without CHT.
to have them transparent, on the homescreen go to menu/set wallpaper/ then scroll down, there you can choose any wallpaper in the sections either skin taksbar/softkey bar or only taskbar or only softkey bar.
taskbar is the top start bar and softkey bar is 'phone and menu' bar.
p.s. this can be done only if Cht 1.8.5 and CHTE are installed on your phone

BTW, don't use the word "dude" when you try telling someone to "grow up", it makes you lose all credibility...
could someone please recommend a cab to put the color icons back in my top bar. all the ones i have found don't seem to work or the links don't open. thanks
