Darn, i cant get it to work... hmm
edit:
i got it to work, i had to move su from xbin to bin...
Doesn't 2.2 have it as part of the build options? Could we maybe get the Froyo tethering app ripped from another device or does this have to be built into the kernel?
I had to uninstall mine using titanium backup, then reinstall and it worked fine.

I had been using Barnacle, which didn't work with 2.2 until I checked Skip wpa_supplicant.

i believe that has to be built into the kernel to allow such a thing.
I initially installed Wifi Tether with the Rooted 2.1 kernel. Then after testing to make sure I was rooted... flashed to Froyo... and everything still works.
Here is the froyo launcher2.apk from the G2 system dump. You must be rooted and uninstall stock launcher2 first via root explorer or titanium backup. I also suggest making a backup first. It runs smooth on my incredible. 7 home screens, 3D app drawer, etc. I figured i would make it easier for anyone who wants it. Just download then place on your SD Card and install. You do need to allow installation of apps from unknown sources in application settings first.
ONLY WORKS WITH AOSP ROMS

Its a really nice launcher but the phone icon says "Application not installed" and I found no way to fix that. Its useless to me without being able to access my phone
I'm sorry I don't know. It works perfect for me on cyanogenmod 6 and Ruby and ultimate Droid. I don't know what to tell you

No need to be sorry. My phone is back to stock 2.2. I'm waiting for a replacement cause I'm having major issues. I'm sure that's why it's not working. Thanks dude
I tried to use this on CM 6.0.2 and after I download it says I already have it installed. I really just want the 3D app drawer. Any idea?

I just installed this on my stock 2.2 incredible and almost everything works quite well. The only thing that doesn't work is the phone button on the launcher. When I select it I get a the message "Application is not installed on your phone". Not sure how to fix this. Anyone?

you need to long press the phone icon on the bar and when the menu pops up select "change shortcut" then select application and then click on phone and you should be good to go hope this helps you.
It's good tool. But I have only G7, hope yours can work correctly on my phone!
Thank you for sharing.
I've been looking forever for a stock froyo looking launcher that's more like the Nexus One. ADW is ok but I don't like the dock icons. The G2 launcher is perfect but I can't get the phone button to work on my Droid Incredible OTA 2.2 (Rooted). I've read through the post but havent seen any solution Long pressing on the phone button and changing the short cut doesn't work at all (read that in another post) SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME!!!! I really like this launcher
Hey guys sorry for not replying sooner. Apparently this only works with AOSP roms (i.e. cyanogenmod, ruby, shadowrom) I'm updating the OP right now.

Thanks!
First of all I take no credit for any of this, I've just found it works on 3 roms i've tried. CM6, Ava9, and Fresh. Just titanium backup Uninstall your Flash. And Install this one:
Edit: Just flashed MIUI and it works on it too. Hulu app only and not for the hulu.com though..
Edit 2: about:debug on browser set UAString to Desktop and it runs on browser too.

So that's it???!!! That easy? Just uninstall the Flash, install the fix there, install Hulu and ur good to go? Yes?!
Works like a champ for me with a stock rooted ROM.
-- thx!
Man I just don't understand, I've tried every hulu fix I've seen and not a single one has worked for me. I get the blue lego block logo everytime I try to watch anything. I'm on a stock rooted rom that I've upgraded to 3.29 software and 1.77 pri and this has been the only thing that I've not been able to get working.
for me hulu.com says that the video is unavailable
Worked perfectly for me. I'm rooted with unrevoked and running CM6. First I flashed the Hulu app and then I installed the apk for the modified flash and it worked like a champ!
Thanks (and thank you to the devs!)

Same issue for me on latest fresh
Mine doesn't work. I tried 4 different times. It still says it's not compatible with my platform. Fresh ROM
I tried to install Flash-hex-edited apk and it says "Application not installed"
???
Does the hulu app still keep playing in the background. I hated that.

I had the same problem. You have to uninstall the Flash update first using manage applications, then Titanium will uninstall Flash. I'm running Fresh 3.3.0.1

Yup, it sure does.
App works, but sorta sucks. I cannot goto hulu.com in a browser as it says your on an android device and its not supported. This is with stock browser. At least have the app...
My bad!!!
in stock browser, type about:debug>settings>UASTRING>desktop then go to hulu site or hulu widget site.
works on Froyo v4

My version shows as 1.82 on a 2.2.1 ROM. What's different in this new Market and will it be pushed out to all devices?

Anything special about this version?
Won't let me upgrade. Will it work if I uninstall the current market with titanium?
Looks like the new version might not be compatible with all ROMs.
On CM6.1 nightly pushing this version over /system/app/Vending.apk doesn't work. Upgrading via "adb install -r" produces "Failure [INSTALL_PARSE_FAILED_INCONSISTENT_CERTIFICATES]" error. Removing the original market version and then plain installing this one fails with "Failure [INSTALL_FAILED_MISSING_SHARED_LIBRARY]" error.
yeah, same here..
But what's new with this version ?

Yeah, I had same issues. Newer market has higher res pictures and stuff. Not sure what all the changes are. That's why I wanted an apk to check out. Not sure how to get it working though. Meh.

since you all are using adb, you can just backup the original market and then copy the new one in your system/app folder:
adb shell
cp /system/app/Vending.apk /sdcard/temp/Vending_original.apk
cp -f /whereyourfileis/Vending.apk /system/app
should work, for safety issues, close running market first
(Btw im a galaxy s user, maybe folder names might differ)
I've got a flashable version of 2.12 if anyone wants.
It force closes pretty often though because there's no support library functions, etc. So kinda lame. It works though if you can live through the FC's.
you all know eno's rom has this latest market and from what i see there is no difference either... at all
I'm posting the latest MIUI Music apks here. Thanks to 42turkeys for the apks!

FC on N1 when trying to scroll down in settings.
Any way of installing this on non-NAND unlocked phones?
I have a HTC Desire which is rooted but NAND is still locked
(or so I believe since root explorer wouldnt paste the apk into system/app, google search)

Same problem here with my HTC Desire running CM7, using last version (1.4.15) and getting FC each time y try to browser settings, hope someone will fix it in the future to the non-Miui user
BEst regards
Same Problem on Milestone. App is working great except the Settings. open settings works but when i try to scroll it force closes.
decompiling apk doesnt work anywhy...
Very cool. I flashed the new MIUI ROM a few days ago, but now I'm back to CM7.
I liked a lot of the visual interface tweaks MIUI does(not to mention the music player!), but I'm not a fan of ditching the app drawer... and I got a ton of force closes from the launcher.
Once the bugs are worked out I'll definitely be downloading this app!
