Always do a NAN Backup before changing system files:
You have to be running a Rom with Sense framework. HTC Sense or MySense
As in the tread title attached is HTC Sense 3.0 Instant Capture Camera WITH PANORAMA.
Recovery
Restart in recovery
install update from zip
select Update-Camera-signed.zip from your save directory
RESTART the phone an ENJOY
TESTED:
On Sense Roms 2.0+
Special Instructions to avoid FC:
- HDR has to be selected thru effects selection or it will FC (SCREEN SHOT 3)
- Burst function doesn't work.
-1080 Recording Possibly dual-core required. (on some phones it will just record in 720 even though you select 1080)

flashing that zip didn't work for me
so i grabbed the newer HTCCamera.apk (4102 KB in size) out of the zip file
and using root explorer i went to system/app - mount R/W
then deleted the existing HTCCamera.apk
then copied the newer one into /system/app
long press it and click on Permissions
this is what you want ............................. then rebooted and HTC Camera 3.00+

can we do this using adb. Because I dont have root explorer

Downloaded. Flashed. Did not work. Restarted the phone and still have they old camera. Running virtuous fusion 1.0.6 and I've tried twice now. Still same problem but in recovery it does tell me that install successful. Any ideas without having to use adb?

Tried both methods flashing and root explorer. Root explorer would not keep the permissions setting after I set them. Both methods keep the old camera. I'm on Fresh 4.0.0.4

I flash it and the camera works fine, my gallery doesn't work though, any way to sort this? I'm on RCMixHD 1.3.

How do I get this to install alongside my current camera and not replace?

So everyone, this is the first miui test version for our Desire S. Its a test version and not for daily use.
what works: touch, sdcard, data, sms, gps, flash light, led light and whole miui features like theme manager, music player or gallery everything working...
what not works: Button Lights, Camera, Wifi, Phone, Bluetooth, you tell us..
it would be great, if some devs help us to get fixes for issues.

i downloaded your port from miui developers site and it worked just camera and needs translating
edit: go here someone has made a full port but no camera but everything else works http://forums.miuiandroid.com/showthread.php?7823-ROM-MIUI-Desire-S-1.6.24

I guess some developers will join porting MIUI to Desire S when there will be a possibility to unlock S-ON phones. As soon as this will be possible, more people will be able to install custom roms.

this one also has 16:9 configuration

Seems ok. Big difference I notice right away is the settings menu is reduced drastically. Also the flash doesn't automatically remove the old camera so you have two cameras and two galleries.

you can install JB Camera+ or Snap Camera from Playstore
I Myself prefer Snap Camera :good::good::good::good::good:

thank you for this great mod - there ist just a major problem for me:
everytime I finish the sphere (when my phone renders it) it just states (after the progress bar reached its end) "gallerie has been terminated".
Sometimes a "bad" panorama-pic (low resolution, bad quality (nothing in common with the "spheres" or the ultra-wide panoramas) resides in my gallery but nothing else.
So anyone has an appropriate solution for me?
I don't know if this is the exact term for the error-note, my rom-language is german
I'm currently using Kangs CM10.1 (4.2.1), on Kangs CM10 (4.1.2) same error.

Changing system language to english solved it, but this is not a good solution, where does this problem come from and how can it be fixed?

How to install:
1 Pass the ROM to USB memory.
2 Turn off the phone.
3 Enter recovery mode (holding volume button to button up + home + power button).
4 Enter the CWM.
5 Wipe Data / Factory Reset.
6 Wipe cache paritition
7 Install zip from sd card.
8 Chose zip from sdcard.
9 Install the Rom.
10 Restart the phone.

Fix Wifi:
When you turn on the keyboard starts go enter *#*#526#*#* and turn off the phone and turn on again. With this, the Wifi will work normally.
OBS. 1: Wait a few minutes, going 5 minutes off and do the above procedure again and check if the system partition is mounted.
OBS. 2: Contacts not appearing? Go into contacts -> menu -> import contacts sim card.

Hello dude!!! I tried ur 2nd build on my sgp. I am unable to configure to mobile network meaning i m unable to make calls and send sms.
Also there is a lockscreen bug and external sd card is not recognised...otherwise it is a cool rom...PLsss fix the bugs asap.

Instructions to flash via Recovery:
1. Download ROM & copy on sdcard
3. Reboot to recovery
4. Select wipe data/factory reset, Yes - Wipe all user data

Gallery has stopped
Unfortunately gallery has been stopped after taking image from camera..

screen blink
Testing this ROM from few hours...but facing problem of screen blink while using browser and specially when opening keyboard for typing in browser... What exactly I want to say blink means all keyboard and screen is moving a side....I'm trying to record screen also...

Just try after clearing chache from setting-apps-gallery/camera.

which browser u using right now- is the stock one??
just install any other browser and try.

All these issues are cause of rom taken from lower resolution.
What are the setting done and in which app (resolution changer??)
i will put it in OP so it will help others.
This ROM is very beautiful and good features ... isnt it.
