How to Undo Theme? - Nexus One Themes and Apps

I know I've seen how to do this before somewhere when I didn't need it but now that I do I've been searching and can't find how to. Can someone tell me how to undo a theme, if specifics needed I'm running CM5.0.6 with Flavored Ice Licorice? Thanks! Wanna do it before so I can try out FROYO and have less chance of problems.

There are 2 ways to undo a theme. . .
1) restore a nandroid backup that was made before theme was implemented
2) Reflash the rom you have installed, over itself, without wiping.

Thanks for the quick help!

[REQUEST] [MORPH] Removing a Morph?

Is there a way to remove a morph applied in MetaMorph?
Depends on what you themed?
Status Bar...
And you want it back to the default?
If you are using a custom ROM, you can just reflash it, and it will get rid of it.
Won't that also get rid of everything else on the phone?
While some update.zips do perform wipes, the vast majority do not. Do a nandroid backup, reflash your ROM, and enjoy the stock status bar.
Anyway it would be great if people offer an "unmorph" with the original files more often. Not possible every time I know..
It's very much work when you will do this.
You must do this for any rom you will theme.
And if there is an update, you must do it again.
The best way is to go to recovery and reflash the rom.
You don't lose anything of your data by doing that.
Thats easiest way.
Not for the morphs for the roms. But when you morph an app and just change some colors or icons it would be great to include the original pngs too.
Nand restore only because of a few icons is not so great

Not really, just push framework-res.apk and services.jar from the ROM you have and adb reboot
Thanks guys... the reflash worked perfectly. That'll teach me to nandroid before morphing!
if MM adds the option to backup the apks before morphing, Then there will be a chance to undo
i believe the right thing to do is re-flash your current ROM, like said. it only copies the files that have been changed i believe, which obviously changes them back to stock. at least that's what i've read. but you wont lose your data either way.
i worry about creating and restoring lots of nand backups, and flashing lots of ROMs, cause i worry about killing internal flash memory over time. that cant be good to continually re-write over and over in such a large quantity!

[Q] Quick question about fission themes

Alright so I've been looking around and some people have said to wipe all days when just installing a theme when one if already installed. Sim say to only wipe certain data and yet others say nothing is required. I have the fission 2.3 gingerbread theme on fission 2.4 and want to run a theme for 2.4. What should I do?
The easy way is to use Fission ROM Manager and install the straight Fission ROM over whatever theme, then intsall which ever theme you wish to switch too... This works great for me.
Another way is to reboot into clockworkmod go into backup and restore, then advanced, then choose a nandroid back up of the stock ROM, then select restore system. This takes long but will take most if not all of whatever theme you have installed.
Good luck, post if you have trouble.

[Q] Crazed and confused ....

'Ello all.. Entirely too newb for this! Anyway, I've rooted my infuse 4G ... Seems that - that was easiest part. Now I am just really confused as to where to go from here. I've got Rom Manager premium & Titaniam Back Up free. I've batched using TBU. Not sure if I need other things for some of the ROMs I've checked out? And How to get a customized theme (widgets, Icons, etc)? I'm mostly confused on the terms used whilst searching for ROMS & Themes. And PM would be greatly appreciated! Lol.
Thanks for your time
Head towards development forum for custom roms and theme section for themes.
But first decide what you want.
I assume you are on stock froyo 2.2,so,you can install custom froyo rom or custom gingerbread rom.
also you can install kernals for OC and UV.
First decide what you want, search through forum, read then jump.
Like rohit suggested, I would browse the development forum and check some things out.
When using Titanium Backup to restore applications. Make sure you only use it to reinstall apps and their data. Never restore system data. If you are going to use it to "batch" reinstall your apps once you've installed a new rom, make sure to only install the "missing" apps, not all apps. Replacing the new apps with the outdated ones that you may have backed up is a bad idea due to incompatibility; however, you can certainly retain the old apps that you have now and install them later.
ROM Manager will mainly be used to install CWM. The only ROM that is currently supported through it is Infused. It is still suggested that you flash the files manually through recovery. Also, make sure you follow all of the steps in the directions for the ROM so that everything goes through without a hitch.
If you have any questions, feel free to ask here or shoot me a pm. I'll try to get back to you quickly.
Good luck. I think you will enjoy installing some custom stuff once you get the hang of it. Don't worry yourself too much. It's harder to mess things up than you think. Just pay attention to installation instructions and go slow at first.

Could someone please remind us noobs how to revert to the stock theme(including apps)

I've searched and I cant find an answer. This will help people switching from one custom theme to another, as it seems some themed apks meshing with each other cause random FC's and other assorted problems.
I'm currently on XXKPH rooted deodexed etc (the works)
Your assistance shall be greatly appreciated
mate, the best and the easiest way to do is FIRST MAKE A NANDROID BACKUP WITH A CLEAN DEODEXED ROM, then if u want to restore the original theme go to recovery mode -> backup restore -> advanced restore-> RESTORE SYSTEM.!!!!! and voila ur original theme, status bar system files would be restored!! takes only a min or two and saves a lot of issues and unnecessary headache
Thanks man! Actually I DO have that backup. But that would mean i would have to create separate back ups of all apps/app date, messages, contacts etc to preserve changes made after that initial nandroid backup.
Having said this it would be much easier if maybe someone could kindly upload a purely stock theme in zip format? It would be faster and easier to switch back and forth between themes than to keep restoring backups when trying out new themes.
Hope you understand

Or if you are lazy, You can use the CWM Deodex zip, it has all the stock apps and reverts the phone to stock lolcakes.
Sometimes i use cwm deodex too..it's very handy n time-saving or u can flash nexus v1.1 rom, the theme is stock one n most apps not modified

Make sure to re-install user apps only. Also try to avoid data+app unless it's absolutely necessary. Example: no need for Words with Friends Data (it's all on the server, only restore App) but if you want to keep your Angry Birds Space process you will need to restore the data as well as the app.
However, to be safe re-download all the apps from the market (which you have the ability to), and restore the data only on a per-app basis. That is really the best way. Then once you have a working ICS Rom with your apps, make a TiBu backup and you can restore normally going forward.
I found it a lot easier to just re install from the app market so I knew everything was new and fresh.
