[REQ] Graphic artist required for nearly finished project

Hi all,
I've nearly finished a project that has been about 4 months in the making. I'm not going to go into detail about what it does or what it's for, but there are 2 applications - 1 on the PC where you make "project" files, and one for your phone where you utilise these project files.
I need some graphics doing for both apps (icons and splash screens).
I'll obviously give anyone that's interested more information about the app, but anyone that's interested let me know and, if possible, link or attach some of your work on here.
I honestly believe that this app will be a BIG hit, as it does a nearly unlimited amount of things. It will also replace the CHTEditor.
Anyone that gets their artwork in it will obviously be mentioned in both the thread and the app, so it will earn us both kudos! Me for my app looking great, and you for showing off your skills.

I can do the odd graphic thing, Im not particularly good but I would be willing to have a go if no one else wanted to (which is very unlikely)

I have never made icons, however I have a BA in 2d art and over 4 years of graphic design (photoshop, illustator, etc) experience. No real portfolio, however i did make a watch from scratch once for a class. I'm new to the forum and cant post links yet, so sorry

I might not be skilled enough to work on the project but would like to see what I can accomplish. I am not a photoshop person; Illustrator is more my thing. I am also interested in designing effective and efficient layouts (page, screen etc.).

[APP] Bloo going open source, artist needed!!

Just checked out the Bloo blog and see the Dev has decided to make it open source after he releases Bloo Too.
I know there are a lot of talented artist on xda and seems that the dev is looking for some to help make icons and such. Check it out.

This is great news. Bloo is a nice app but definitely has the potential for improvement to beat the stock FB app.

wow i hope this thread stays open long enough to see the actual app updated. bloo is the best facebook app we have today but its not perfect. i would love to see devs make this app awesome. you guys keep at it. thanks for you efforts! TEAM ANDROID !

I have experience with Android Dev, but it may be a while before I figure out .apk stuff

Btw if anyone wants the bloo 1.5 w/ chat apk let me know and ill put it in this forum

Whats gone wrong with this, as of today no notifications, and its hit and miss if it loads up I am running the apk chat version
Its working again now, must have been my phone!

Beta testers

Guys I don´t know if this has been posted before or its against the rules or something like that but I was wondering if this forums have a small comunity of beta testers to help out small studios developing applications.
My company Wonton Studios is a very small independent mobile app developer mainly focused into IOS and starting into Android. Since we can´t afford to buy several android test devices I thought that maybe some forumers would be able to test our games and provide some feedback. At the beginning of april we will have two games ready for testing in most popular resolutions in phones for the likes of the evo4 and tablets we will be supporting 7" and 10.1" Our goal is to support most popular devices.
Any input in this matter would be greatly appreciated.

Yeah, it is crazily terrible if you don't have 3 - 4 testing devices. I am a developer in HK. Users are moaning everyday for force close problems. Then 1 star rating. No one understand it is how hard to cover devices from HTC, Samsung, Sony, LG, etc for small players. This is android market.
We develop app related to gesture before, which is terribly machine dependent. Hope other guys will not fall into the same trap.

Exactly, only developers understand the hassle my friend We will be using for now only tap controls and accelerometer in this two games until we test further on Android, we have all cover on IOS but Android is another beast simply because how un-standarize it is!! wich is a headache if you want to cover all devices.
I believe getting a group of beta testers is the way to go and earn valuable feedback while having fun, so thanx a lot everyone again Please pm me telling me your devices.

I don´t get what you mean beta tester applies to products that has not been released yet so of course you can´t charge $$ for them.
Beta testers report bugs that´s one thing, correcting them is the sole pourpose of the developer.

Request?

So I was wondering if anyone would be willing to build me a rom with certain things. I would just choose one but I like features from 2 roms and would like them to both be integrated together. I would do it myself but I have no computer or knowledge of building a rom. I appreciate peoples help around here more specifically strapped crump and dodger as they've given me a lot of help. Thanks in advance for anyone who highly considers my request and I could pm details of my rom idea. Of course I would not wanna take credit for such a rom just looking for something to play with.

I mean you might as well throw your ideas out here in the open, because you have a better chance of the project being picked up....just saying

Well I like the miui toggle in the notification bar and I like the evo 3d ring lock screen and I think it'd be cool to have it as close to stock as possible for example only market and basic apps to begin with.

[IDEA] For a game

I had an idea for a game last night, but i have no experience making game applications, or any type of application for phones. I'm really looking for someone that knows how to code to maybe bring my idea to light, i feel somewhat confident that my idea is somewhat original in the sense that i don't think I've seen a game of it's type on the play store. I don't want to give any specifics about the game on here to keep my idea my own for purposes of future advances, if i can find someone capable, and willing to be a partner in this goal i have. please send me a PM on here if you feel capable of maybe dabbling in such a project, and we can possibly discuss further the goals i have for this game.

Its hard to find a person that'll take up such a request. Its possible but I reckon, the best way you can make your idea into reality is by doing it yourself.
I have had many ideas, and I barely knew any coding languages. So I sat at my desk and researched and asked for help with coding. And guess what? I made my ideas into something that can be used. Like the launcher I wished to create.
Give it a go, you'll benefit from it.

I think if i can find someone willing to take on such a request, i might be interested in getting a kick starter going, i'm still working on the layout of what the game is going to be, i have a lot of ideas for the game, it's just selecting and weeding out what i want and don't need.

Sounds like something interesting. I am not that great with game development so I can't help you out here.
Hopefully someone takes up the step to help you out. Sounds interesting.

Thank you man, i think i'm going to give your launcher a try it looks nice, and i like google now/search, but if i get my project going, ill let you test out what i got if you would like.
