What's in the box - case?

Hey all,
I've got mine on pre-order and have been looking around for ideas about what comes in the box. I found this: http://www.slashphone.com/htc-touch-...unboxing-16485 and various other links to the same sourse.
It appears you get a charger, headphones, USB lead. However, there is no case?
There were rumours around that the special self-cleaning case might be included: http://www.phonemag.com/htc-touch-di...deo-052706.php but this is not present in the unboxing pics. For a phone to come from HTC without a case is a little strange...
Anyone found anything more about this???

I don't think it's gonna be in the box.

O2 Orbit didnt have a case either, maybe thats just O2 but it does show they will drop it if need be

I think the Orbit 2 does come with a case AKA Touch Cruise

true. bought 2 orbit 2's and both had a case. they came with co pilot too. so maybe the one's without copilot didn't have a case.

i really think this phone needs to be cased
with that back it won't take long before it gets messed up

Htc Touch Diamond
I just got my Diamond this afternoon in Hong Kong and confirm that the case is not included.

HTC Diamond is without the case, the german xda diamond you will get with the case!

The contents of the box is probably region specific in some cases.

It appears that it will be case-less. So, I ordered the HTC slip case for it - only a £10'er so if I end up with two of them no big deal....
Now, TomTom is another matter - let's hope that comes with it!

Errrmm.. NO.. Dodgy grey Hong Kong import from expansys! They advertised tehm as "UK stock" but they were lying!

I have got a business version, which does not include copilot and extras ( car charger/mount). And mines comes with the pouch(case). Advice to users. if you have the orbit2 please do not buy crystal cases or screen protectors form ebay because i bought a case and a protector and they do not fit as it is different.

Please can you post a pics of your package with accesories, was it from portugal

Plenty of articles on this and HTC is not happy about it.
Especially as HTC Europe will NOT support Hong Kong import models (and they are easy to trace with S/N and Imei.
Wonder how long you gonna mis your Diamond if needed to send back (to Hong Kong) for repair.
Price comparison:
Bought mine in HK yesterday for 5600 HKD downtown . Should be around 700US.
Euro pricing avarage : 585 -600 Euro. Do the maths and understand why Expansys is importing (though they will mention it on their sites if it is UK / HK or whatever version normally)

Is there a screen protector included in the box? Some unboxing reviews I've seen included a screen protector; others make no mention of one.

Yes, there is a SP in the box, but the quality is bad. Scratches easely, gives like a fume - dusty look when in sunlight.
I wait for a better quality OEM version - to reccomend.

Yeah, most freebies that come in any package are generally crap to slightly acceptable quality. I guess it will do for the time being whilst I source out a full-body skin/shield or a good quality SP & case. Any word on Martin Fields SPs?

Hi if someone knows where can i find a lcd screen for x7510 advance, i broke mine, some can orinet me where to look or if some one is saleing a lcd screen

Open it, look at the model and then google and maybe buy it over the internet?

I'm selling my X7510 for £330 if your're interested.
It has a few scratches but in fantastic working condition.
It is flashed with HSPL and Xacs WM6.1 Rom fully working G-sensor
Nothing is wrong with the device except scratches or you can use for spares or repairs.

replacement casing

i just dropped my lovely tg01 leaving it with a few minor scratches on the black outer casing and was just wondering if it was possible to buy a replacement ?

I think I saw them on ebay before, just look for it there

i cand find anything on ebay i have the same problem here i nned the full body housing

I have TG01 new shell, but I was in China, the price 300RMB

i went to original poundworld at st helens last week and they were selling dummytoshiba tg01s, like the ones that you see in the shop . I night one but I cant seem to pryopen the battery cover,I will post pictures soon!

[Q] Best, most protective case for DHD

Read all about the otter case in a review for the straight desire - the defender model it was.
I wasnt overly impressed.
So in light of this can yuo accessory experts point me what YOU think is the best usable (I.E. doesnt look like a tank or bomb shelter) case. I am thinking somethin silicon?
anyway, would really love ya expert opinions! I need to protect my phone - more frlom falls than anything else, am a fairly cluimsy 6'4'' so it has a long way to drop!

Didn't really know what I was going to say so I just started talking and showed my DHD a little with its accessories (still in love with it) but at the end I dropped my Desire HD on the floor luckily my appartment is all carpet

I bought the exact same gel case as you showed in the video (grey). I bought it from an ebaystore called Londonmagicstore. I paid 3gbp including shipping to sweden. Fast and reliable. As I don't have the DHD yet (is to be released next week in sweden) I hope it fits.

Helpfull video mate. I just ordered two silicon/gel cases from Ebay myself and they bought are coming with protective film for the screen. I am really looking forward to getting them as I am paranoid about damaging my new DHD.

The best protective case by far, and the case I use on my HTC HD, Samsung Galaxy s and HTC desire, is the Pdair aluminium metal case.

Unfortunately, for some strange reason, they don´t plan to make this case for HTC Dsire HD
If you are interested, drop the a mail and request that they make a aluminium case for the HTC Desire HD as well. [email protected]

Just thought I'd vouch for the eBay cases! Remember, they all come from the same factories in China, you're only paying extra for the branding 'SuperShield' 'MegaCase' etc. There are some exceptions but very few. I bought my case for £2.35 with a screen protector and it's perfect, a great fit and nice feel! I've never spent more than a couple of pounds on silicone/plastic cases or screen protectors and all of my phones remained in perfect condition months after I bought them. Will post links soon.

Now that is strange! When I click the link it says the seller has updated his listing and the price shows £29.65!!! I've emailed the seller to ask what is going on as it definitely was £2.65 this morning. Maybe the increased traffic spooked him .
Anyway just to reinforce my point regarding the branding of goods from the same Chinese source, here is CaseHut's listing for the ORB Gel Case..... look familiar?? £5.99 plus postage..... hmmmm!!
Anyway, the case fits well and gives good protection. All buttons are placed correctly and the camera lens, flash and charger port all have good access. Hope this shows that you can keep your expensive phone SAFE without breaking the bank.

I received my silicone case I paid 2.95 for on eBay today and the quality is great the fit is perfect and it doesn't make the phone too bulky. Another thing is the case makes pressing the power and volume buttons a lot easier
So overall I am delighted with the case.

Sm-g730w8 Tempered Glass Protector ??

Hello Everyone !
Im looking for some help with this device sm-g730w8
Its suppose to be a galaxy S3 mini but my sister bought a tempered glass and a case and both does not fit
So I went on google/amazon/ebay typed my model (sm-g730w8) tempered glass and I get no results at all !
So I was wondering if this model is identical to another similar US model since we both live in canada

If you are buying it because of protection against shattered glass it wont work. It offers no protection other than that of a scratch.
The model appears to be "special" so i cant give any alternative. :<
