Hi
The first excuseme for my bad English, I'm Spanish.
I bought an AT & T Tilt 110 in the USA and I want to know whether there was any problem when I install the official ROM HTC with WM 6.1. Can we recommend this or any other?
Thanks

Looks like this is it...read a few posts in though. Looks like there is some stalling on the customization and any network configs you have to do.

Thats the official release. Our cooks posted their own recipe, using the official release as the base.
I wouldn't use it. Lots of issues.
And what used?
Thanks
There is nothing "OFFICIAL" about that (or any other "official" relase) YET.
I am not saying that there never will be, but the ones here that say OFFICIAL are NOT official.
If they WERE official, why would HTC or ATT or any other company make you use HardSPL? And why wouldn't they give HardSPL to you when they gave you the OFFICIAL ROM?
Can you IMAGINE the support requests with an official ROM that was missing the biggest element? The element being a way to INSTALL the ROM?
Think about it.

So should just wait till At&t gives a Update ?
which will be safe but like always
wonder how much we will loose
cos they dont give it all
& like here U always get lots more
And without officers who are not made them? All cooking ROM them put his name right?
So i registered my TyTn II SN on the HTC e-club expecting to see ROMs for download. It properly shows my device as registered, but there are no ROMS available for download. I contacted their e-mail support and was told that "no ROMs have been relased for the TyTN II."
How can this be? From everything I am looking at here there should be at least one 6.0 ROM and one 6.1 ROM that was released by HTC??? If not, where are all these ROMs coming from?
Did I get bad info from HTC? Did they remove all their ROMS for some reason? Please help me understand.
thx.
dear friend
i understand your confused i also got it in the begining but i understode later
all those rooms are built in something you can call it beta version of windows 6.1
this is what i know about that and maybe someone else knows better and correct me if iam wrong
best regards
They are not OFFICIAL, as many people might think. They are built by cooks around here (and other places).
Keep in mind that there are also ROMS from other countries that come available then are shared.
You may have registered to HTC e-club, however, it may not show as per your location.
As I understand, the newest rom always come with the newest device come to market, htc don't update "old" devices, even there is new version rom released from microsoft. For example, kaiser was released last year, and the newest rom in the meantime was 6.0, so the kaiser came with 6.0. Even you buy your kaiser now, and the 6.1 was released by microsoft few months ago, you won't get 6.1 in your brand new kaiser.
All these new "offical" roms are released or leaked by microsoft, for newer devices, and our cookers here cook them for our kaiser and we can have chance to try new functions in these new roms.
Thanks for the reponses.
So, If i understand correctly, no one is able to Download the "official" ROM for their device from HTC directly?
I believe I can download the AT&T Tilt ROM from AT&T, but for HTC ROM every copy that exists here is from a "dump" of someone elses or a cooked version?
To start with my device i would rather use a fresh ROM and not a cooked version. How can I easily find what is the latest "Clean" dump ROM out there?
thanks!
Actually, no one is able to go to HTC's website and download an official 6.1 ROM for their Kaiser/Tilt II as they have "officially" not released it yet.
Microsoft has only just "officially" announced WM6.1 in the last week.
I dont' necessarily mean the latest as in 6.1.... I mean are there ANY officially released HTC Roms that I can use to flash my tilt and if so...where and how can I get an "official" one. Again, by official I mean not a dump or a cook.

well, if youre saying "official" as in, HTC says, "hey everyone with an htc device thats running a rom not belonging to htc, here's an official release of our rom for your device" then no.
but, however, there are roms in these threads that were extracted from say the htc kaiser that is an offical htc rom, no att, just htc
if you want an "official" htc rom then you'll have to buy an unlocked device, instead of one from a particular carrier.

WHAT I WONDER is the wm6.1 suppose to have silverlight mobile and skype mobile and ie better featured but non of the leaked roms ever showed any of these features?
Well for instance, when I had my PPC6700 and there were issue with it, Sprint actually had me reload their ROM to try and troubleshoot.
If you buy an "unlocked" HTC with no carrier, then whose ROM does HTC expect you to use...the HTC rom that comes with the device, or another special ROM made available to the carrier? I suppose that if you buy an unlocked Kaiser (for $5-700) that there is nothing in the warranty saying you can't reflash it... therefore shouldn't HTC provide a copy of the ROM incase you need to flash it back to defaults?
thx

I bought a TyTn II, as well as a Wizdr before, both unlocked, and always got a CD-ROM with apps AND a restoration utility which is actualy the original ROM.
If I take a look now on the HTC e-club, my registered TyTN II has a download available, but it's from 09/2007 (and french..). So I don't even consider flashing my device with this as it would be the same as the one delivered with my phone I think.

Right Dredd..that's what I am talking about.... I would think that someone who bought an unlocked one would have a CD with the "official" ROM and that HTC would also post that on e-club for registered members (in case you lost your CD)... But they don't appear to post one for download there...
Hi to all...
I'm using the ROM L26_Kaiser_Diamond_v9 right now and I would like to flash this official HTC ROM on this site http://www.htc.com/www/SupportDownloadList.aspx?p_id=13&cat=2
My question is, do I have to do 1 of the HARD SPL's and which is the best/fit for that Official TYTN ROM?
thanks to all...

It started to download when I tried but I didn't continue 'coz I don't know how to flash it on the safe way..

Is the latest one from the HTC page you provide the same as this version: 3.28.405.0 (Radio 1.65.16.25)?
I wouldn't mind trying it, but my serial won't work...obviously....I
have the at&t version, which is just a tad different.
If you want to have some fun, go over to the at&t user forums and
look at the thread count for the 6.1 update. A few posters tell them
to head over here, then the moderator jumps in and tells them do so
at your own risk.

I have an european TyTN II but my serial doesn't work either.
When trying to download the HTC TyTN II - Operating System [ROM] Update I get:
Sorry, this software download is not suitable for your device.
It lets me download the HTC TyTN II - Windows Mobile® 6.1 Professional Upgrade , though.
So, anybody managed to download the ROM update?

If I were you I'd start here: http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=HTC_Kaiser
and here thanks to JockyW
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=396922
and here (radios)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=407084
Especially since HardSPLv1 was superseded by versions 3.07 3.28 3.29 and 3.56 all seem to have an influence on how well your device responds, as with the radios.
Furthermore please carefully look at the date/CE version and build# as HTC put up a new website recently (aug 4th,? correct me if i'm wrong) and all downloads on there had their date changed to this new August 4th. Therefore it may seem new - even to the system but is infact the older radio update *.*.17.56 dependent on your location.
Good luck keep me posted
They took it down again
With in the last hour I contacted HTC tech Support and was informed that "The webmasters are on the west coast (same place I am) and that the link to ROM Version 3.57.502.2 WWE would be available as soon as the webmaster gets into work and corrects the file link.
Course who knows what time they might get into work.

Would like to load a difference ROM than i have on my HTC tytyn II which is bought in Middle east i.e. Oman. The one i have updgraded from HTC dealer which is for windows 6.1 is giving probs..i.e. response has gone slow.
Also if anyone could help how do i load a different ROM eg. Hyperdragon or any suitable rom compatabilt to tytyn II.
thanks in advance to my friends who would reply.
Manila 2d
I definitely prefer Manila 2d (Touchflo 2d) ROMs. I use Hyperdragon III. There are numerous iterations that you can choose from.

I'm not really sure what you are talking about, all roms appear to be "one file" and when you run them they extract themselves, but this is all automatic.
Hi Guys..
I have a Verizon non modded phone. I would like to upgrade WM 6.1 --> 6.5 and was wondering how to go about doing this..
The EURO HTC site has a WM 6.5 download...would that work? I head Verizon does not have a 6.5 download yet so that is why I am asking.
Your help is very much appreciated!
I think you can't download Rom from official site, you must type you IMEI and than download ROM but as I know US phones are not supported. But you can download cooked Rom from this forum. They are even beter than orginal ones.
So if I can't download from the official site and need to download a cooked rom...which one would be best and how would these cooked roms differ from the official?
The Euro site is showing the gsm ROM. It will not work with verizon. Try a cooked ROM for cdma(verizon). If you don't end up liking it try another or swap back to the oem verizon ROM. Possibilities aplenty.
