I do not have any yet but thought it would be cool to have as many as we can get in one place.
So if you have custom clocks / keyboards / lock screens / or anything else lest post them here.
Also, If anyone knows how to pull files that are needed to make such files and will run down on what needs done would be great! {Im still learning}
I myself am looking for a file that will change the green background to icons to blue. I had one for 99.9999 but when trying with 1.0 all kinds of odd things happen. one of them being a smiley face being the background to icons.

If someone would do the run down, I have some to share and would love to see others. Might even consider taking requests.
I must say, I do love the current lockscreen. HOWEVER, change is good, and imagination should be encouraged.

How to get 2.1 Lockscreen
If you have the sdk installed on your pc you can try this
Plug in your phone and open CMD and type
cd C:\android-sdk-windows\tools
adb remount
adb shell
cd /system/app/
rm HtcLockScreen*
exit
Now reboot your phone and enjoy!
This will give you the normal lock screen that you will see the the droid and N1 (2.1 lock screen)
{EDIT: To Add reboot your phone}

But also mess up your alarm clock.

without the Htclockscreen there is no way to silence/sleep the alarm, so you will have to use a different application.
this is the only reason i kept the htc lockscreen cause i couldnt turn off the alarm and had to reboot my phone for it to stop

I cannot seem to find the thread I followed. You know, I rooted and flashed all my custom ROMS on my phone, never once using the pc. Is there no way to do it through Terminal Emulator?

That's not true. A dialog box will appear asking if you'd like to snooze or dismiss alarm, the same with the N1.

Is there a way to get a transparent notifications menu? I miss that from Flipz Fresh 1.1 ROM.

I'm working on changeing the green to blue.Should be done today or tom. If you want to start doing it find the (com.htc.resources.apk) thats a start.

Im curious about two certain files in particular; I believe its a custom MoDaCo ROM, cant remember who, but it had 'bouncy menus' and awe inspiring window transitions. Link to a thread? Much appreciation!

Have you tried the ones in spare parts?It has fancy rotation animations.

Indeed, but these transitions were like fading in and out. Very original.
Any word on bouncy menus? I found the .zip file on a thread in here, doesnt seem to work on dc.

The link i posted was too someones custom rom. The thread contains lots of themes and ad-ons. Everything is already uploaded, and the one that says 'Both Animations' followed by 'Bouny menu' and 'Window Transition'. I hope you dont mind tearing apart the ROM, but on the other hand, theres also lockscreens and possible color changes. This thread could be valuable in the making of custom 2.1 themes that we've been looking for. All the pieces are there, especially if its just a matter of porting something from 1.56 to 2.1 or whatever it takes to make the old tidbits (such as icon highlight color change or bouncy menus) work with the new. Or another rom with another rom? Whatever the issue is, theres a nice stripdown and at LEAST a beginning.

I need some help. Does anyone know where the files for the stock lock screen are located? I guess i can spend a week digging around but I figured i post here maybe someone knows already.

What are you looking for? I think the graphics are located in the Launcher2.apk somewhere I don't know if the framework and all that stuff is there, but I believe it should be.

they are in framework-res.apk

layout folder? which files are related to the lock screen do you know? I am not interested in the images I just need to figured how to reposition the buttons. Make a different layout i guess.

So the next question is where is "frameworks/policies/base/phone/com/android/internal/policy/impl" on rom lets say like cyanogen? I need to find the lockscreen.java file.
Ahh i found it. The lockscreen.java is odexed in android.policy.jar which resides in the system/framework folder. I feel dumb now for creating the thread now.

Ok so ive spend the whole afternoon trying to figure out all the code in the lockscreen.smali and I have to admit im lost.
What im trying to do here is to fix the wack stock lock screen on the sense ui when you delete the htc lock screen. I wont give up until I get it or someone else working. I just need to know where to look for positioning code of the unlock and mute buttons.

Coming from The HTC Hero cdma. Flipz got it working for us, maybe the fix works for you guys also?

You are my hero. It workssssssss. I think im going to poop myself. lol I can believe its working. It's funny because I've been trying to figure out where the bug is in the lockscreen.smali for the last 2 days and finally tonight I gave up on it. And now you came to the rescue. thanks

Hey guys, i just wanted to see if anyone was up for the task of trying out somthing i would really love to see on my phone. I love the rain and rainy days and I would love to have a clear lockscreen that looks like it has a dew-ie like look to it. Anyone think that would be possible?

I dont understand, why would that mess with com.htc.resources.apk when lockscreen_topedge.png is in HtcLockScreen.apk? That should be the only file you're messing with.

I dont understand, why would that mess with com.htc.resources.apk when lockscreen_topedge.png is in HtcLockScreen.apk? That should be the only file you're messing with.

Because to get a completely clear lock you have to modify lockscreen_archglass_top, lockscreen_archglass_bottom, and I think its called lockbar.png which are all located in the com.htc.resources.apk otherwise you still get the bar/arch (depending on if you use espresso or regular rose) across the lockscreen

In 1.5 this was the case as all the images where stored in htclockscreen.apk>res>drawable 320x480 however in 21 they spread the png's for everything all over the place. That's why to get it completely clear you have to edit files in com.htc.resources.apk also because of the way 2.1 is set up it took like 2 weeks to figure out how to do it because the xml code had to be edited. If you think I'm wrong do it yourself the way you think. I was just trying to be helpful

Oh oh oh i just thought of it. how about the animation on a rainy day for the weather widget (not the actual animation, just the image it pops out). That look is perfect too, just without the windshield wiper.

Question, the lockscreen you made is just overlapping on a previous lockscreen picture i had before, how do i clear that one up?

if you where using a jpg or something like that then you need to go in and clear the lockscreen cache by doing this is adb

adb shell
cd /data/misc/lockscreen
rm *
cd /system/customize/resource
rm htc_wallpaper*
exit
then go in and flash the clear lockscreen

Rainy Day Wallpaper Rotary Lock
Here is a link to a MetaMorph for applying the "rainy day" wallpaper to the rotary lockscreen (textless version). I do NOT plan any making any other versions / iterations of this lockscreen, however, if you like this as is, please feel free to use / enjoy. This should be compatible with any 2.1 based Sprint ROM that has been deodexed.
XML Control File <--- Apply using the latest MetaMorph application
Your phone may freeze when applying, and when coming back up, the MetaMorph may not have fully applied. If this is the case, re-run MetaMorph, and select the 'framework-res' sub-theme, apply, and reboot.
Initial boot will take a while as your cache is rebuilt.

[MOD] Semi-Transparent App Drawer / Shortcuts Background

This is another change I ended up with by accident, when working on the text-less icons for the app drawer. This is based off of Fresh 2.1.2, but should work with any Sprint based 2.1 ROM.
I originally discarded it, but thought it might be cool to, in addition to changing the color of the app drawer & add shortcuts background from solid black to some other color (gray in this mod), to also make the background semi-transparent, so that your wallpaper shows through, and this is the end product.

I like it because it is different - what Roms will it run on?

This should work on most Sprint-based ROMs.
It is really starting to grow on me. Here's an example using a photo type wallpaper background where you get a better sense for the "transparent factor".
It is something, I think, that looks better in real-life, as opposed to screen captures. I'll probably post a MetaMorph tomorrow.

First post has been updated with MetaMorph control files for applying this change.
It has really grown on me and I am liking it very much. It is not too dissimilar to the semi-transparent notification menu we've grown accustomed to. Give it a shot and let me know what you think.
As mentioned above, I think it looks really nice when you have a photo style wallpaper.

Added this Mod!!! I have been looking for a transparent app background for a while. You also went the extra distance and did the same thing to the shortcuts background. Just wanted to say thank you for this and it worked for fresh 2.0d. The only thing that I had to do is re-add all the widgets on my screen after the update. Thanks man keep the updates coming!

You have two META-INF Directories and your update zip doesn't have correct structuring.
I'll fix the structuring and clean up, and upload it in a sec.

Go into spare parts, scroll to the bottom, hit General, and pick Clock Color, change it, then reboot.(takes a breath)

Sorry I might need to mention you need to change the color of the time in spare parts.

Change your time to #FFFFF Or any other readable color.
Change your "highlights press color" in ADWLauncher settings to either #ff17ff00 or #ffffffff for best results.
Menu>Settings>ADWLauncher>UI Settings>Highlights press color

I'm using LauncherPro, just mess with the Dock Background.
Shouldn't be hard to edit adw.launcher to get that background though.
