Someone mind helping me? - HD2 Windows Mobile 6.5 Themes and Apps

Hello All,
This is my first post and I don't know if I out of the line for asking this, or am I violating any rules.
I been looking and searching in the HD2 form here in XDA-developers since I got my HD2 about 2 month now. There is one thing I don't quite understand: how the full landscape works for home screen.
I seen post that said the theme have to support the landscape mode, but is there anyway to adjust the phone to make all themes runs in landscape mode?
If there is what program I need and what I need to do?
If possible please let me know.
Thank you all in advance.

i'm not sure if this compatibility is built into the energy rom i have flashed to or if it is available on all stock roms...try this and let me know what you get. press start(or windows button) /settings/personal/buttons...choose the long press hold option for the send key and choose rotate screen option from the list of choices. you can manually press and hold the send key when you want a landscape view of your app or theme... also if you search bsb tweaks this app is able to configure auto rotation of apps via the g-sensor... hope this was of some help.

Or take a look here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=637671
23/2 -10 TX_Total_Landscape.cab -does what the name says, total landscape means also startmenu
Install this and try it.

Great let me try to mess around with it.

or what you can do is just get the bsb tweak, go to the rotation section -- select the options to rotate and head to the home screen and shake the phone. bsbtweak will recognize what you want to rotate and then restart the phone.
there you go... rotated home screen.

i tried all that, but it only display left half of the screen. does the theme i use have to support landscape mode for it to work?

TomTom Mobile 5 - Help, how to rotate screen?

Sorry to post in the Tornado forum guys, but I'm trying to solve a problem and I think only you guys can help me. I've got TomTom 5 installed on the Moto Q but after starting the program, the screen is oriented in portrait mode, however, the Q is natively in landscape.
Unfortunately, the displayed images are unreadable and just jumbled. I know that there is an option within TomTom to rotate the screen but without being able read the screens, its a practice in futility.
Can someone that has TomTom installed on their Tornado do me a favor. Can you walk me through the exact steps and button presses from the launch of the program to the rotate screen option. The button should look like an upside down smiley face.
I'm hoping that if I correctly hit the button sequence, the screen will rotate and that I'll be able to make the menus and program legible. Cheers.

Rotate Screen on Touch Pro

I think I am going mad so forgive me.
Can someone help me to rotate the screen to landscape with the keyboard closed? IE. manually rotate the screen.
I can't seem to find the function anywhere.
or have I missed something?
Thanks.
Just rotate the device?!
This only works in certain apps, like picture etc.
I want the Home screen, and TT7 in Landscape when in the car, and turning the screen doesn't do anything.
Any help?
The Apps themselves need to support the Rotation of the phone by implementing a hook into the Accelerometer/G-Sensor.
Like said above, TouchFlo3D Pictures and Opera do this, but most other apps do not! Just need to wait for later versions or change to landscape mode manually - if supported!
Should be (although HTC may have removed it) in Start->Settings->System (tab)->Screen, and then change the orientation. It's possible HTC removed this functionality though...
I'm guessing that Mortscript will still work on the Touch.
You could use this to rotate the screen then call the app in question?
Then when you quit the app it'll rotate back.
I forgot the name of the app, but it allowed you to rotate the Diamond for any app or any situation in the phone. It should also be able to work on the Touch Pro then.
Its called GSen it works on diamond and probably it should work for this and if its not working just wait for new release.

Click to collapse
They have removed this option, but you can bring it back with Schap's advanced config 3.0! I haven't tried it, but I've seen the option there!
Reg Edit to set Talk key to rotate screen manually
Here's a reg hack to manually rotate your screen, only when desired.
In Settings/Buttons/ one used to be able to assign a button to <Rotate Screen>. This feature is hidden on the Touch Pro.
To get it back:
Using a Registry editor, go to:
HKeyLocalMachine/System/GDI/Rotation
Change the "HideOrientationUI" from 1 to 0
Now you can remap the talk key to do this on long press.
Pocketpowermanager puts a little icon at the bottom of the Today screen which rotates the screen (and an icon for power off, and another for soft reset). It's a great application.
Hi there
Both Gens and Gyrator work well on the Touch Pro.
Just Bing them (at bing.com).
David
You can get an application called gyrator 2 which will allow you to rotate without sliding out the keyboard in any screen, so like you can use it in the start menu or anywhere else, http://pocketnow.com/index.php?a=portal_detail&t=news&id=6068

rotation without keyboard

i have couple of quick questions?
1) how can I make the menus rotate without having to open the keyboard.
2) when the phone goes in standby, i have to open the keyboard to make it come back, none of the buttons work. is there a way around this.
thanks please help
1) I dont think there is a way to just rotate menus without rotating the entire screen
2) according to the pithiness of the previous question I would ask - which buttons did you try?
Kentoplaya
Take a look at a program called Gyrator. I think it will rotate various screens as you were seeking. I haven't tried it yet, but it sounds like what you are looking for. Here is a link:
http://www.freewarepocketpc.net/ppc-download-gyrator.html
you could also do it via a button which i like because gyrator rotates sometimes when you dont want it to. If you are willing to go through the registry than you can go to HKLM/System/GDI/Rotation and change "HideOrientationUI" to 1 (decimal). and after you do that go to Settings->personal->Buttons and it should say <Rotate Screen>
Edit: Change it to 0. It should be 1 by default.
have mine set to rotate to left with one key press (Long Send)
Setting -> Buttons -> Button 1(Hold) : <Rotate Screen>
You can also set the Short & Long press of PPT button to go into the Screen:General tab, but then you still would have to make your selection and then press ok.
Hey this works pretty well. I think some programs may display funny, but a cool tip. thx.

Landscape Tilewave in Topaz?!

I've installed the Sony Ericsson Xperia X2 Panel Manager plus the tilewave panel from HTCPedia's site (made by Ark_N)
it seems to me that tilewave only works in portrait mode on Topaz, i've tried to install Gyrator 2 and see if i can get to the landscape mode, but in vain. Tilewave seems to hang at the middle of the rotation.
Could someone advise on how to have tilewave in landscape mode on Topaz?
I have to hold end key to rotate the screen, which you can set in settings>personal>buttons. I've had it freeze a few times, but it works every now and then. It may simply be that this is beta software, so when a more recent version comes out, it might work
did u mean gyrator is the app that u mapped ur end key to?
no, go to settings>personal>buttons> then tap the button you want to map it to, and select<rotate screen> It has the little brackets around the word. I think that is how to get there, I'm going from memory. Also you have to hold it down for a few seconds
thx, it worked, foolish am i

Navipanel Tweaks

Hi guys
I have 2 questions about the Navipanel.
First the easier one. (I think for devs this might be easy)
When I start the Navipanel on my HD2 it's forced to go in Landscape.
When return to the start menu and back to the navipanel it is in Portrait Mode, but only for 2 sec. and then it returns to Landscape.
Now is it possible to run the navipanel in Portrait without it change again in Landscape?
I already tryed with the BsB Tweak where you can select Apps whitch have to rotait. But dosent work
Second
The second question is more for the "Hardcore Developers"
Whould it be possible to change the shourtcuts so that it would work like on go pilot? Because now it's not important which button I press it only opens Navigon. But it dosen't go directly to my House (for Example.)
Thanks for Respons and bye all
SAME REQUEST ....SEEMS NOONE CAN MANAGE TO CHANGE THIS NAVIPANEL.which in case is totally useless without any solution and the fact tha cant be used with igo8 which is far more better program than copilot.
Try to set inside "navigon/settings/general/orientation" the auto orientation; in this case, the navi panel will start always to portrait. If you need the landscape, set the orientation 90° to the left or to the right (in the same way like above).
Cheers.
