Hello everybody!
Here is a nice tweak for your Smartphone! It's something like RealVGA but that didn't work for me so I found another cab that does the same! It does also include a Menu tweak for more icons!
It is working for me on the Samsung GT-C6625 Valencia Standard ROM (C6625XXGI5) and on the WM6.5 ROM 28004!
Don't look at the quality of the instruction screenshots, they are bad! The original quality of the screen and icons are MUCH better!

Installation Guide
- Install the Smartphone_96DPI.cab

Fixing the Menu
- After the install you will notice this there wallpaper of the today screen has the wrong position (there is al black or a green pixel bar) and when you go to the menu you will see 12 icons instead of a nice full menu with 15 icons like this:

- To fix the menu go to the menu and click on the Windows 95 Desktop Icon and follow the screenshots below:

Fixing the Wallpaper on the Today Screen
- Go to Start - Control Panel on your PC and open Folder Options. Click the View tab and uncheck Hide protected Operating system files and Show Hidden Files and Folders. Since .cpr files are hidden, they won't show up in the \Windows directory until you do this.
-Browse to the \Windows dir and sort the files by file type. Scroll down to the C's and find either
SlidingPanel_320x240.cpr,
CHome_320x240.cpr or
Titanium_320x240.cpr
- Copy it to your Desktop and open it with Notepad (right click, open as). Or just doubleclick it and select notepad to open it. If you're running NRG's mini weather, you need to get the CPR file with the weather info.
- To fix the wallpaper issue, change this line to:
<Image ID="Background" Opacity="1.0" Top="-15" Width="320" Height="213"/>.
- Copy it back to your Device and overwrite the file!
(If you can't overwrite it use Resco Explorer 2007: Copy the file to another folder (for example: My Documents) and Copy or Move it with Resco to the Windows folder. When you get a warning about that it's a ROM file just overwrite it!)
- Restart your Device and your wallpaper is normal again!
(except for the taskbar, is there somebody with a solution?)
When uninstalling remember to change the files
(SlidingPanel_320x240.cpr, CHome_320x240.cpr or Titanium_320x240.cpr)
to the original state!

To get rid of the Menu Tweak:
- Go to the menu
- Click on the Windows 95 Desktop Icon
- Choose this option:
a
- And press the left soft key

When uninstalling remember to change the files
(SlidingPanel_320x240.cpr, CHome_320x240.cpr or Titanium_320x240.cpr)
to the original state!

Know problem:
- WARNING: THERE A SOME PROBLEM WHEN UNINSTALLING!
(My uninstalling process on the C6625 WM6.5 goes perfect it but some people can't uninstall it on there device!
So be careful! If there is someone with a solution, post it!
- There are some troubles with the task bar icons on some devices (not on the C6625)
- Some animations do not fit with the tweak
- The tweak for the menu is not always working. Solution: Follow the instructions at the Get rid of the Menu Tweak part and restart your device! After that it will work again. If it isn't follow the instructions at Fixing the Menu part above.

96DPI Tweak for the Samsung SGH-I600
We have a 96DPI Tweak for the i600 right now! ( thanks to iwana2109 )
It's fully working (except for some animations) and there a no problems when uninstalling so give it a try!

How to get back to the original DPI? I uninstalled the Smartphone_96DPI as described but dpi doesn't go back to its original size (128 I guess) even after soft reset.

the uninstall is only for the menu settings, sorry I will change it now! for a real uninstall just remove the program and reboot!
yeah, I tried removing it and rebooting in the first place, that's why I'm surprised everything is still 96 dpi. What a bummer! I don't feel like hard resetting my phone ......

I've uninstalled it on my on phone with no problems, it just like the normal resolution again! what phone do you have?

and what about installing it again, change the menu back to 12 icons and uninstall it and than a reboot?
tried it all mate
well then, time to hard reset or flash with new rom
try with sktools (unistall programs)
i use i600 with std wm6....its succesfully installed but its make icon bars (signal,battery,etc) into white blocks...any advance please...

Have you done the instructions for the today plugin?
I had the problems with the taskbar to but after changing the today plugin file it was gone, now i have smooth taskbar icons!

Inside the cab are replacements for the standard icons to fit with the 96DPI tweak. I will try to change them! You hear from me soon

I've made it!!!just Remove 1 registry that troubled my i600 and now working fine but its still troubled activesync and PIE loading animation...for dial animation you can disable it..go here

Smartphone 96dpi i600 [Tested]
here's the file...i remove all the application just leave registry and *.dll inside so just install it no need to change anything it work fine on my i600 wm6std,just affect activesync and PIE loading animation...i also try to uninstall it and there's no trouble on my i600..

Guide
Read Carefully!
Download this files to your PC: SP38066, ROMUpdate.zip, HP514-V1RCL.7z(or Mirror 1)
Charge 100% your battery
Start SP38066.exe, continue until you see some files being extracted then when the HPRUU begins, cancel it.
Go to C/iPAQ/sp38066/ then extract there the contents of Test01.rar, it should replace some files there.
Start HPRUU.exe
Follow the process to install RUssian ROM
After sucessfull ROM upgrade, Extract the files of HP514V1RCL to the same directory, then replace the old .nbf file. Or erase the old one .nbf
Turn off your cellphone, then press left, down on the keypad while pressing the RED key to turn it on in bootloader mode.
Connect to the PC,Run HPRUU.exe again, it should install WM6.1 Lite version
It stops at 44%, make hardreset, if it cannot boot after reboot, you miss a step or something...
Add-ons:
CHome Update: Changes the default homescreen to fit the size of the screen, adds the wm6.1 boot image, and some little fixes, just run the .cab after installing WM6. HERE is the link.
Chome Config Program: Utility to configurate the CHome homescreen, you can add or remove tabs, etc. Just unzip and run it.Here

The full Wm6.1 ROM costs $10 and features bluetooth as the difference. You can download the ROM for free, but it will not boot up until you buy a key(that is device-specific). It must be paid through Yandex Money(a russian money system) that is very strange and nobody has a account there. lol There isn't great advantages from this ROM, and i hope the devs release it for free a new version, or the tools they used to create it.(our ipaqs are very old! they should give us a free ROM!)

I tryed to perform update using this guide but updater responded with SKU ID error (Sku id is ABB)

OK, update wouldnt start with test01 Romupdate file. But I found Other roumupdate file (newer) on forum and run it with that file. Update run till 45 procent and then suddenly juped to finished.
After that i tryed to boot machine but it wont start.
Also, I tryed to run rom update again but update program says that it has problems comunicating with phone.....
On phone startup screen it says 2.05.00 0.76 (like before flash) and it doesnt move......
It realy works!!!
Forgot to hard reset phone.....
But some of icons and settings are in russian....
When can we expect full english version? With all neccesary apps?

You can try change name, the shortcuts in Windows\start menu ; And You can install resco explorer 2007 or my favorite Total Comander with reg plugin and You can copy to windows "wrlsmgr.exe" <-- wirless manager
And that's it the phone is english in 99% I work to run BT but not result, I search in reg keys. In this rom I not found few file BT, and few keys...
Thanks for the feedback, i just uploaded an small update that fixes the Homescreen Media panel, resizes to fit the phone screen(so is smaller lol) and fixes other things.. I wish we could get the final version, but the russian people who build it, neither they release the tools, nor a free update.
I'm working too, damian0429 about the bluetooth thing, but i think is impossible, as the files that managed bluetooth, have been modified to avoid being used, (I compared the file sizes with the ones of the original wm6 rom, the wm6.1 files are smaller) but i want to know if is possible to copy and replace this bluetooth .exes, and .dll's if they are in the ROM. Someone knows how? PM me if you found something

After all, this is rather old phone, maybe they could release this hack to public for free....

Could You send me Your homescreen? Maybe bluetooh is disable in radio this rom. And we coundn't turn on.

Use this HpRUU hack, just unzip this archive into the folder in said in the instructions. ROMUpdate(taken from the Sku rom update hack thread)

Remove your SD Card

Follow the prompts in the DOS window
Hit "continue" (trackball button) on your phone, screen will turn black
Run RomUpdateUtility.exe (if it doesn't run via the script)
The flash will take about 5 minutes
If your device is already HardSPL, simply run RomUpdateUtility.exe and follow the prompts
Upon first boot, it will seem frozen for a few minutes, maybe even go black. This is NORMAL!
It is recommended to perform a hard reset (Clear Storage) after first boot
Enjoy!
In case something goes wrong:
Remove the battery and the SD Card--> Put ONLY the battery back in.
While holding the volume down button, press the power button
The multicolor bootloader screen will come up
Plug in the USB cable and flash back your original shipped ROM
Find out what went wrong and reflash this ROM properly

The flash will take about 5 minutes
If your device is already HardSPL, simply run RomUpdateUtility.exe and follow the prompts
Upon first boot, it will seem frozen for a few minutes, maybe even go black. This is NORMAL!

In case something goes wrong:
Remove the battery and the SD Card--> Put ONLY the battery back in.
While holding the volume down button, press the power button
The multicolor bootloader screen will come up
Plug in the USB cable and flash back your original shipped ROM
Find out what went wrong and reflash this ROM properly

There are lots of variations between the Cedar and the Maple. But, as you know, it's all doable. Still trying to save up enough doe to grab me an Ozone. Once I do, it'll be a matter of days till you guys get a fresh digital meal... If anyone has a spare one laying around... By all means,send it my way... Thanks to all who have donated. hey cpimentel. I created some stock ROMS for just that reason. You still have to JumpSPL or HardSPL but they are here. I will build another using your raw files shortly...

Great!! Thanks. I'm using a Keylock program by Maniac. Much better than the HTC one, even has custom notifications for messages waiting, screen saver, etc. Turn it on in Settings, UI Tweaks. Configure it in Start Menu, Tools.
As for the keyboard, the default layout is for the US WWE SNAP/Maple/Dash3G. Go to Start Menu, Tools, run Keymap Config and select EU keymap. It will work!!
QuickGPS needs some love, have to see why it's not working... I think it's cause I used the package from Dash3G and not SNAP. I will check.

I fixed it. Instead of a patch, just redownload the ROM from the original link and reflash. Also fixed one other bug I forgot.

i've uploaded the Stock AT&T rom as a PDA (i637_AT&T_Stock.PDA) so that the people that have been affected by the imei change, can change back to the original. if they want too.
But, this is not limited to just those. everyone can flash it, just follow the flashing instructions.

i did a lot of searching for the correct flashing instructions. i have personally tried these new instructions (on a friends i637 phone) and can say they work! follow the new ones and you'll be just fine.
if you were affected by the imei change "*#06#", with my initial release. the best thing i can do for you is tell you to see if your carrier can help you out. sorry.

sadly no, this is just if you don't like my rom. so you can go back to AT&T rom.
the best way to get it back is to contact your phone carrier and tell them what happen.

it's not a bug. it was just a mistake in the old flashing instructions. he has corrected it since then.
I tried it out on my buddies dads phone and it went alright. imei is still the same.

i just dont get the fact why should i choose all 3 files but tick only pda to be flashed. Isn't only pda enough?
And where was the mistake in flashing instructions? I've been flashing chinese and mexican Roms 6.5 over 6.5 and it haven't changed my imei. I've been flashing over all 3 files pda eb0 and bin.

i've have these for a bit, and though they are nice. i felt it would be easier on me and others, if i kept it as close to stock like as i could. this way their will be less bugs and more memory and ram. also closer to my style...

I use search. I am trying to get the creator to make me an icon from this set, he said he would get to it. might take some time, just deal with it for the time being

Thanks for the Mod but I would add in the original post that you should backup your SystemUI.apk file before you do this as this Mod will replace it. Can't remember the abd commands to back up a file but it is just as easy to make a copy using Root Explorer or other file manager with root access.

Unfortunately I've seen too many people not do a backup just because it wasn't in the instructions. Here's teh command for making a bakup copy of SystemUI.apk using adb.
cp SystemUI.apk SystemUI.bak
(This copies the original file and creates a file with the extention .bak)

Can you not just copy from the system?
cp /system/app/SystemUI.apk /sdcard
That should work right? I always just use adb pull /system/app/SystemUI.apk and keep them on my PC, so never used busybox commands.

Sneak peek at 3g ICS theme. only have systemui themed right now. Next are both frameworks(1000+ icons), then settings, and launcher, then phone. Then i'll probably theme the badic apps launcher icons. Will include ics clock font, but not roboto system font. I like the default dont on this device. Also some sounds and i will look into boot animation. I hope more people are interested in this than were on Dell streak 7

your update binary also has to be updated for 3.2, and make sure your mounting dev/block/mmcblk0p8 /system , ahh I'd just kang someones or search for the updater.zip creator windows programs.

Yes I did. I had never noticed that until the other day, So until I figure out why its doing that I went back to stock wifi indicator. Being Christmas I'm away for a few days and ill get the ICS wifi back in there once I get home.

Hi I built it for CyanogenMod 7.2.0-RCO-Blaze-KANG Rom which I found to be the best working rom for the kindle fire. Flash the rom then the theme in Clockwork I have included a link to the rom below.

If you're coming from a STOCK ROM then use this version to flash. It will wipe the data and cache partitions (as well as the system partition) as a part of the flash process which should get rid of any FC issues.

Once the system has been flashed you need to set a lot of bits up, takes about an hour from here
Firstly follow all the all the steps on BroBots175 site from Step 3 http://brobot175.co.uk/MetroUI/Setup3.html and I promise it will work.
In short you need to download and copy the MetroUITiles and paste it on your SDCARD, then restore the ADW settings with the "adw_settings" file in the download. Then install an app called "Desktop VisualizeR" from Google Play on your device and and set up Desktop VisualizeR with the settings BroBot175 recommends. Once all this is done you need to make a load of widgets that becomes each of the individual tile. Over and over again.

Firstly follow all the all the steps on BroBots175 site from Step 3 http://brobot175.co.uk/MetroUI/Setup3.html and I promise it will work.
In short you need to download and copy the MetroUITiles and paste it on your SDCARD, then restore the ADW settings with the "adw_settings" file in the download. Then install an app called "Desktop VisualizeR" from Google Play on your device and and set up Desktop VisualizeR with the settings BroBot175 recommends. Once all this is done you need to make a load of widgets that become each individual tile.

yeah i understand I have to make those things but my confusion is coming from what does flashing that zip do like if nothing changes then what's the point in flashing that zip? Also the first link provided can I use that to flash and start over like factory wipe then flash that zip in first link?

To answer the first question; Ah I understand mate, I didn't get it last night until I worked on the Kindle port today. When building the theme it uses the roms system files and frameworks to allow extra option to appear in the options once you start adding the tiles (Widgets) and allows the system to align the tiles together correctly.
Second question; yes mate thats what I did after I tested it and knew it worked.

If you look at my screenshots the bar at the bottom has metro style home back and other icons and the notification pannel also
you change these images by flashing the theme as these images are in the framework-res.apk and the systemui.apk
I got lazy and didnt do it because for cm7 I had to rename all the images so they would work with your device.
With what youve done you dont really need to flash the zip for it to work unless you just want to install desktop visualised.

Yo I need you to port this to the original rom I requested because the rom you ported this to doesn't let me play games like grand theft auto and order and chaos or at least I can't find it I'm the market which I assume means that the build.prop or something on kangs rom that isnt set up like the cm7 bare bones.
Yes mate, I am running all these games, send me your email and ill email you the build.prop with instructions its a five minute easy fix. I play order and chaos perfect on this Rom downloaded from Google play. This is why my signature says i have a gt p1000 ie Samsung galaxy tab.
I have nearly finished making a games tile set and the order and chaos one looks mint ill send it aswell.

Só this is just a theme, the live tiles is made using desktop visualizer right
Correct the reason there is a flash install process is to change the theme of the cm7 UI to match the metro style and add special Widgets. You could keep the ui the same and make the tiles by adding the metroui folder and using visualized app so you don't need to flash.

Hi mate I have sent you an email but for anyone else email me and ill send you the build.prop file. If you already have one just follow these steps.
To get this to work for me I didn't overwrite the file as it does not work for some reason.
1st – Backup your original build.prop in the /system folder to somewhere but keep a copy there still as we are going to edit this.
2nd – Copy my build.prop to your sdcard
3rd – Long press on my file and open and edit in text editor or equivalent, select all text and copy.
4th – Exit the file and navigate to your /system folder activate rw access at the top of the screen so you can edit the file.
5th – Open your build.prop and select all text then delete, once deleted paste the text from my build.prop file you should now see the device name says a GT 1000 etc
6th – Close the file and it should ask you to save it, disable rw back to ro and exit file browser.
7th – Reboot your device and once your back in go to menu/settings/about and see if your device name has changed to the GT 1000 if it has exit and open google play type in "gameloft" and all the games should now show and allow you to install.

And can you send the build.prop file, I saw your instruction involving copy & pasting text, why can't we move the whole build.prop file to the system directory, then we don't have to do it too long and confusing, my email is: [email protected]

There are a few ways you can look at this, if you just want to add the Metro them icons to your screen just download the image pack in BroBots175 step 3 and install appalizer then set it up. the only reason to flash the rom is to give your cm7 interface buttons the metro look (i.e. back button, menu button etc), however you don't need to.
I don't know why the build.prop files does not work when you just overwrite the file? maybe it's signed in someway? I do know that it works in the way that I described so thats how I do it.
Tiles for apps and games.
Hi I have made a few tiles for games and apps that I use. I haven't followed the theme too much as I like to see the correct images on my games icons, but I have added a download link incase anyone wants them. I have put two pictures below so you can see them.
