On a different note, i have been using this rom for a while now and i find it pretty sluggish. Cant wait for the the touch pro to hit retail.....cheers all...
Is it possible to access WPA2 AES encrypted wireless network with this ROM? Or some patch may be... ?
Can anyone pls upload another link beside this coz sometimes it can download or not. looking forward to get this app.
Thanks,

Bluetooth and the new Sense ROM

I am trying to compile a fully working kernel for the new sense ROM, and for some reason I cannot get the Bluetooth working - it doesn't even want to turn on. The problem seams to be related to the source. The source that I am using is Google's 2.6.27 source. If I try to use cyanogen's source, the display does not function. Any ideas?
I just used the official HTC source and everything is working now.
I'm following you on Twitter and after reading this topic the question is automatic: when do you guess to release your new rom? Is going to be for 32A o 32B?
Thanks

GPS is working with the HTC kernel, as he said above.
Some people have mentioned on other ROMs that the WiFi tethering doesnt work. Have you tested that yet hotweiss?
Also, will wipe be required for v2 to v3?

The WiFi should be working, as I have successfully compiled it.
I don't know whether we'll need a wipe or not yet. I have been testing after always doing a wipe just so I don't have any confounding issues.
What about word prediction? Flash in browser seems different, couldn't play videos straight from youtube site when using redglass version of sense ROM. None the less, good job and thank you in advance. Like the.fact that your taking your time to test and release something decent. Nice.
I'm most concerned with the sms timestamp issue. There are a bunch of Hero/Sense roms that work great, but that timestamp issue is a dealbreaker every time.

The timestamp issue still exists. I would use Chomp SMS until the Rogers verion comes out.

While it is certainly a nuisance to us Rogers Magic users, the sms timestamp issue is a small price to pay for a stable SenseUI IMO. This will be my first SenseUI ROM other than MyHero, I'm looking forward to trying it out! Take your time hotweiss, it's better to release a ROM that has most of its kinks worked out rather than rushing and having to constantly re-patch.
If everything is working... If is multilanguage (I really want spanish on it) and if it has predictive dictionary... Then I will definetly download your rom ...
Thanks in advance for everything... =D
I'm waiting anxiously for your "creation". I still have stock rom, bought my Magic 32A almost 3 months ago, but was waiting for the right moment to install a custom rom, wich I think is now Multilanguage for me is also a must, so don't forget the portuguese guys, please. Anyway, thank you very much for your efforts. Best regards.

Alternate IMEs for N1?

Does anyone know if the HTC IME will work on the N1? I prefer that to the default Android VK.
Yeah I'm already missing the HTC IME.
try and installing it from cyans rom thread??
I tried installing the HTC IME with no luck.
Actually, you're in luck. Because I believe cyanogen said the first thing he plans on doing with his nexus one is porting the htc ime.
Yeah I tried the HTC IME from the Hero 2.1 dump and it didnt work either.
I have the HTC_IME working fine on my phone, it's a little pixelated since this screen is bigger, but it works flawlessly
Cyanogen 1.6 worked for me but only looks good in landscape.. otherwise you can see pixels and no voice..
Swype works quite well with the N1
http://www.droidforums.net/forum/droid-applications/12137-swype-keyboard-available-now-free.html
It's free, too. Only complains about resolution every so often.

Does anyone know where a system dump or specifically the htc_ime for the Bravo/Passion is? The N1 and thise share the same screen, so that dump should have the right file.
Would solve the issue of pixelation and the incorrect width in landscape...
HTC_IME for N1
Is there an APK for HTC_IME? I had it on my MT3G and it was great! no need to switch to get to numbers and symbols. just press and hold
thanks!
The one on the MT3g and G1 works, but it gets stretched and doesn't look as good.
Otherwise, it is ok.
And please keep it to the right section. Additionally, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=612985 search is your friend.
Hmm it just makes moe sense being in the development section since it's being extracted from the Hero, and that requires a developer to extract it. So didn't bother looking in "Themes"

Porting 3pei to 32B

Hi,
first, scuse my bad english, I'm swiss french and I'm 15, then, it isn't easy!
I've ported this ROM with the WG #18 No Ramhack, and it boot. The Wifi is OK, but there is a big problem....the Home automatically restart when I launch a "big" app (Browser,all...).
I think it got an autokill, but with a 32B, there is less RAM, and I think, the autokill is set to ~ min 30 Mb. With a 32A (288) it's OK, but with a 32B (192), it's quickly reached!!
If you know wich app is it, or wich script, thank you!
An other question, where are the language files?
An other other question, I've tried to port a Hero ROM to my 32B device. It boot (quick!) but the same problem with the RAM, and mostly the Wifi won't work, but I've changed the wlan.ko, then, is it in the init.rc?
Thank you in advance!
have you partitioned your sd card? it should have a swap size of at least 96....
Why bother with so many 32B roms out there?
The unique feature about 3pei is that it runs the latest kernel on the 32A new radio.
seems kind of pointless when you have guys like KingsKlick working so hard to develop just for G1/32B

Hmm, not sure you are right about this. This keyboard is for sure great,.but gingerbread keyboard has all important base base features, like multi touch key combos. It also looks attracting. And best, we will have full sources for it, which makes it much more easy to expand.
It might attract an active developer, time will show....

I really hope this is possbile on the nexus s. The HTC IME keyboard is absolutely indispensible to me. It in my experience has by far the best spell correction out of any keyboard I've tried. No other keyboard can I mess a word up so bad, add in a few extra letters than the word has, or not have enough, and it will still figure out what I'm trying to say.

Big thanks, gimpsta. I've been playing around with the keyboard generator since last night and it's an awesome service :]
I also have a wild, nubby question:
Probably the only thing I love about the stock Froyo keyboard is the upward-swipe gesture that extends the number and punctuation rows above the qwerty layout. The long-press method on HTC IME is alright, but not quite as fast (for me) as the upward-swipe.
Is that something that's even possible to incorporate into this mod? Or is it sort of an apples to oranges kind of thing?
Thanks for keeping everything up to date. If I know myself well enough, I'll be back to your generator in about two days to whip up another layout
You can set long press delay to 250 ms which is much faster to me than swype up on stock kb.
Love the keyboard!
Mainly using Swype now but HTC_IME mod still rocks

Thanks buddy! Thits what I get for not digging deep enough in the settings. I got too dazzled by the swipe features and missed out in that option-- it's totally what I wanted. What stock Froyo keyboard? :]
is it possible to get some features like multitouch etc from the Gingerbread keyboard? or maybe use the Gingerbread keyboard but modify it so the interface looks exactly like this one?
I really love the HTC_IME, but I can't make it work with HD2One with "lcd_density=200".
Could you help me ?
I think the keybord doesn't feat the resolution
I have this on my G2 and has there been an update to fix the bug that automatically capatalize the 2nd letter when using the physical keyboard?

The first part, no. As far as making the gingerbread keyboard look like this, it could probably be skinned to look like this and maybe some features added, but if you really want THIS (htc_ime mod) keyboard/feature set with multitouch I highly recommend smart keyboard pro. You can skin it to look just like htc_ime (or anything you want) and it has literally every feature htc_ime mod has and then some.

It's really not possible (or at least very easy) to modify the resolution of these keyboards without source. If there isn't one that works for your resolution then there isn't much anyone can do at this moment, sorry.

I was unaware of this bug, not sure how I'll test it without physical keyboard, but I know Jonasl has left behind some code for debugging physical keyboard problems. I'll look into it tonight.
I have a Nexus One with last Cyanogenmod but I'm unable to use this keyboard!
I've downloaded the High Resolution v27 for Android 2.2/Froyo but when:
To change keyboard, long press on lower left key on stock keyboard or any input field. Select input method in the menu
ANYTHING happen...
where is my fault?
PS I'm a FUC...ng noobie!!!
