Hi I am trying to get the BeagleBoard kernel for my work from git://labs.embinux.org/repo/android/platform/beaglemanifest.git/ but the server is down. Could you please advice me if there is any other place to obtain the same kernel ? I have tried Rowboat but it did't work. I need to compile graphic drivers and I need the source code from embinux.
Thanks.

Hey guys,
After two weeks of research and trying myself, I have decided I need someone to help this linux noobie out.
What I am looking for is to change 1 value which is in 1 file in the kernel source.
I've found which file it is. The problem is that with all the tutorials I've read and kernels I tried to compile,
they don't seem to be working with the source code I need to compile.
Details:
Source code I need to compile is for Samsung Tablet 2 10.1 - GT-P5110
Source code can be found @ samsung's open source site (can't post link here ) ... search for "GT-P5110_ICS_Opensource.zip"
Value I need to change is in the company layer of kernel.
I have been able to compile this kernel and get a zImage and some modules.
But I fear this isn't enough, I think I need a system.img?!
In any case, is there anyone who can help me out?
Do I need something else, patch/boot.img? Maybe I'm overlooking another easy solution?
I'll give you $30 on your Paypal account, same day!!
***Please note that $30 is only for the first working solution/person who can help, not for every solution ***
Hello,
I recently downloaded the official AOSP source code into my machine and I want to compile it for my GT-I9300,
but before that where do I get the device blobs and properitary drivers from? Can I use CM's device tree? Are there any other device trees?
And in an addition to that how do I get the Kernel to work properly? Do I need to use the CM kernel?
A hint / tip or a link to a guide would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance
I can suggest you to go to xda university
I'm sure that you will find all you need for cooking your own build
Good luck
Hello All,
I am new in the android world, but am fairly experienced on the Linux side of things. I would like to build a loadable kernel module for a specific version of JB (4.2.2_r1) and have some general questions.
As I understand it, the process should be as follows:
Get kernel source for JB, compile kernel, then compile kernel module. Please correct me if I am wrong
I can't seem to find the kernel source for this, can anyone point me to exactly where it is?
Thanks
