Need assistance with transparency - Android Apps and Games

Forgive me if this is the wrong section, couldnt decide between here or software development. What I want to do is very simplistic. Imagine if you will, a flash card.

}
Simple as simple can be. Now imagine another layer on top of that flashcard like in photoshop, covering the actual square.. but not the word square. This layer is a draw app. You see the word square, you draw a square with your finger, and hit whatever menu button for finish. The draw window fades to 0% transparency, revealing the actual square. From here, you can switch the drawing board back to 100%/0% transparency to compare to the actual image, or hit next for another flashcard... say a circle.
I'm having trouble with the latter part of development, not sure how it should be properly done. I think there's some functionality I'm missing that would have the same EFFECT as what I described... but be done differently? Could anyone point me in the right direction?

[REQ} Text colour change?

Hello...
I've been following a lot of these threads for a while and having decided on my ROM of choice (toms) and doing as much as i understand i've hit my wall when it comes to knowledge of the system! The background i use is quite light and makes it difficult to read the text under certain tabs like the Text tab and the twitter tab. Is there a way i can simply change the colour of the text?
Is there a way i can do it? i'm a quick learner
Thank you.
Here's my background... it's a picture from a walk i did a few months back and it looks great as a background with a few transparencies added withing the tabs.

seemed a little complex, but i'll give it a go over my lunchtime..
Love having conversations with myself
I can't actually find the files on my HD2... can anyone help?
Looking through lots of threads it seems quite a difficult task!! is that why there are no other replies to this thread?

Not sure about sorting, but to change the layout you can use this:

No, not really,
I don't care about how many grids I have.
Just want to have it sorted (see images above)
use a third party app called "vito winterface" clean looking...search for it and try the trail version...m sure u will like it !
You can use another utility made by nullstring. It lets you sort by name, etc. and I think you can move the shortcuts around as well. If you feel like using custom icons, it can do that too.

[APP] [2.3+] Coloring book v.1.0

Hi .
I know there is a lot of applications like my in Google Play, but when I installed 3 of them I realized that every app works in the same way - just pick a color, point an area with your finger, and the app will fill this area for you.
So I decided to create my own app where user has to paint with his finger to color the picture (your finger is a crayon). In fact this is hard to do but very funny and can learn your kids how to paint and not go beyond the line .
So far there is only 25 pictures, but I think I will add something new in the future
IMPORTANT!:
To change kind of zoom, just hold the icon of magnifier a little bit longer. You can do the same with size of a crayon.
Enjoy .

Question Does anyone know what this icon is, and how to remove it?

A freind turned it on somehow, and I have no clue how to help him.

That looks like the extra dim feature that can also be found in the pull down bar. You might be able to long press that icon and drag it to an 'X' toward the middle lower part of the screen, or the upper middle part of the screen. Not 100% sure of that though, my S22 Ultra isn't arriving until later today. I've yet to see that icon show up on my Note 20 Ultra screen, I've only seen it in my pull down UI. But, I'd imagine you should be able to long press it and slide it to an 'X' that should show up.
Ah, yeah just long press the icon in the pull down and it'll open up. In there you should see a switch to turn off the extra dim shortcut on screen. Hope this helps my G
Thanks much, guys!
