Hello,
My location is in the Netherlands and i want to unlock a HTC Tattoo with a Vodafone simlock on it. Can this be done and how? Please advise.
Thanks a lot,
Mark
Don't get in trouble!
Somtimes it is easier spending 15 Eruros and 30 minutes than trying magic.
Just one advice. The process erase the data, so remember to do a NAND BackUp before.
I did it before changing from Vodafone to Simyo.
Now i have got a free Tattoo and also changed the ROM.
You can pm me.
I can get the code for you

Hi rhcp0112345,
I have a Tattoo, rooted and running the last Cyanogenmod 7 great !
I need to unlock it to host a SIM different than ORANGE spain. I've been surfing here and there and no one seems to have the "holy grail" method or tutorial for this terminal. I saw your post and I decided to give you a try. How should I PM you ?
Thx

Hallo,
Is there any way to remove the simlock without buying an unlock code?
Some providers will give you the unlock code if you tell them you are traveling out of the country with your device.
T-Mobile USA does this. It's worth asking.

I think if you give Vodafone a ring they'll provide an unlock code, no?

There is no software option for this (atm)... Look for somebody with an XTC Clip nearby! This will remove Simlock and S-Off your device...
There's a list of XTC Clip owners around in the forum, but I can't find it right now, sorry!

*#*#3424#*#* Make a test phone cameras.
But apparently you have a phone with a defect. Therefore, I recommend to restore the phone to factory settings and appeal to the service center (if you still have a warranty from the manufacturer)
Sorry for bad English

I don't think that it will help.
Hi,
I need help solving a problem that it's driving me INSANE!
Last month i bought a HTC ChaChaCha froma Portuguese Operator (TMN) and i love it.... but my love is sweet and sour because the internal memory SUCKS. I'm trying to root it but i have faced some problems.
I tried to unlock bootloader on HTCDev site but when i download the ROM Europe version it doesn't run. The error says that i have the version 1.57.412.6 and need the 1.57.412.4
Do i have to wait for HTC update? Or is there some other way i could root my htc?
Thanks for your help.
Br,
Paula Costa
Just skip that step and continue unlocking. That worked for me.

Hi,
Thanks for your answer.
HTC technical help told me to try with another device, not with HTC ChaCha. I think it's because HTC ChaCha is one of the devices that indicates HBOOT update required.
Tonight i'm going to try this and your suggestion to skip that step.
Thank you.
Hi
I have bought mine from optimus and i manage to unlock the bootloader using htcdev, just ignore that step
In order to get root stock rom use superone click
