Nope. Not without root. You need to flash a plain vanilla rom.

You can use a program called Lockbot. Works great. Your lockscreen can be iPhone, Flan, Eclair, Sense, and x10 theme. Gives you other options like how quickly it goes into lock after it sleeps and also weather or not it locks when plugged in. Also has a great array of themes for the lock screen.

the iphone had only one feature that our phone doesn't have.I've seen screen shots if other phones with the feature and am wondering if we can get it....
the iphone had thebottom for icons that remain when you jump from screen to screen and is configurable. what is that called and do we have something like that?

You can use shootme for screen shots and some ROMs like MIUI have it built in. And for the 4 icons that don't move alternative launchers like ADW and Launcher pro etc. have that and it wont movie when you move screen and you can change it to your needs

My phone with the ROM in my sig has native screen shots by holding the Power and Home buttons simultaneously. Just like an iPhone.

Miui is a rom that looks just like the iphone. it has the 4 icon dock. You can hold and drag the icons to change them up. Miui is a look alike of the ios.

Lol yea i noticed that too. And wondered the same thing. At least someone finally pointed it out lol.

somebody made a release of Touchwiz 4 Launcher not long ago that works on nearly every device. you might try that.

Look at adw ex it has a second dockbar that can be used on any screen and is configurable.

i found them to be buggy and/or insufficient because i lost all the htc sense features. or maybe coredroid is that good of rom to make me not want to lose what i currently have.
I flashed a mod yesterday that gave me a transparent rosie and also keeps the dock at the bottom on all the home screens. Unfortunately it isn't customizable but it is a nice little add on.

HAAAY! I just flashed this to my Virtuous Unity setup n me likey. It's perfect for the way I like to theme in black and white with some blue...Thanks for posting it.

standard practice is to make a Nandroid backup before you flash anything..you did that...right?

Luckily I also got the stock rosie to flash back. It should undo the mod but I haven't tried it myself cause I like the transparent look.

I saw this on XDA TV, not sure if some of you have seen the Sense 3.0 lock screen, I think the effect is pretty cool. Is pretty much the Sense Lock screen as an app, and it works on any android device. The app is called Agile Lock.

I like the lockscreen. Having issues with the standard lockscreen becoming active at the same time. Even after setting it to none. Basically i have to unlock the standard lockscreen then unclock the agile lockscreen..

Edit:After setting it up how I wanted it I restarted the phone and problem solved.

Thank you so much for posting this! I love this phone but I can't stand the lock screen! I have been wondering why the ROM developers have not included some way of changing the lock screen, at least back to the vanilla Android lock.

I'm assuming you mean the developers at OEMs because I'm loving the ability to change between quite a few lock screens on Audiophile thanks to Raver. xD

There is an Miui theme with that Lockscreen. And yes it scales correctly. I used it for some time. Other than that I'm out of ideas lol
Magiclocker also has a sweet Samsung puzzle lock theme as well

What about "Lock 2.0"? Haven't used it in forever (coincidentally, it was the first app I ever bought for Android - lol), but it was specifically made to have the iPhone style locking, as well as give it some personal flare.
Yea that's the one he's using. The screen is compressed and the slider bar is really long and skinny. I've tried it without any luck. I now use "no lock" and just hit any button and am on my main screen, I never really saw the use of pressing a button just to do another task..

I do this, except I use a passcode. I just wish android/cm7 will release a lockscreen I like. Rotary did it for me for a while, but it become almost too complicated for me. I didn't like that if I used it to change the sound, i have to wait for the thing to finish rotating. I just want something I slide and it unlocks, but the default sliding tabs in my opinion are ugly. I liked sense's lockscreen, but the cm7 replication doesn't do it for me. looks too... circular
Widget Locker is what you're looking for
So, I know that the ROM Gummycharged has several different lockscreens to choose from and Humblecomb's default lock screen is the sliding tabs. But if you're on the Stock GB 2.3.6 or Infinity ROM, and the only lock screens to choose from are the puzzle screen and the glass unlock, is there a way you can go into the framework and program something like the icecream sandwhich lock screen or the gingerbread tab slider unlock screen? I am aware there are programs out there like WidgetLocker and stuff, but I don't like the amount of CPU it takesup and it always messes with my other apps like handcent.
I would be interested as well how ever don't think it is possible simple cause of the fact it was never really don't or the devs are more concerned about stability before making ui changes that's my guess...

On the infinity rom I loaded 2 different themes and they had different lock screens.
Not sure if that would be what you are looking for.I used this one and the lock screen you have to slide the pic up and to the right.

imnuts is working on bringing TSM Parts to the new version of Infinity. It's a newer version of TSM Parts with even more lockscreens than before. I don't know what the timeline for release is, because he doesn't post things before they are ready.

Dont know exact amount but I haven't seen a difference. I have the sense 3.0 lockscreen and don't have any issues

Yes you can if you got root.
Some GB roms Eman, Aeon, Legend etc. got lockscreens option builtin.
otherwise you can flash Nuns 8 lockscreen mod on Rooted GB based rom.
Is there any possible way to get the Glass lock (or other) on top of the pattern unlock? Like having two phases of screens to unlock, kinda like on an HTC where you have the "Drag down to unlock" screen and then your choice of security?

I know with AOKPCB Broccoli ROM it is possible but i was wondering if it can be done on GB, without the use of any 3rd party app.

I really like magic locker, it has multiple themes you can use and security settings. It doesn't work with the current ROM I am using ([Dev]astation), but I did enjoy it when I had it.
I use MiLocker and it's free in the Market. Loads of different Lockscreens, Lockscreen Wallpaper and you can learn to customize the lock screens yourself. And as far as I know, you do not need root.
