Launcher 2 mod - 5 column appdrawer!

This launcher has the 5 column app drawer. There are two versions. One for cm 5.0.5+ (due to some changes he pulled in from qualcomm) and one for everything else. Let me know how it works for you.
Just push it to /system/app via adb/file manager of your choice.
All roms that are not CM 5.0.5+

just an FYI
tested with Koush's cyanogen mod for Droid and it just FC's
rm /system/app/Launcher2.apk
then pushed
rebooted, still fc's
may try a wipe and push, but im not sure that will matter
edit:wiped data,syste,cache, reflashed koushs rom, rm'd and pushed. Works fine now! great work

Does this work on Desire?
It says "All roms that are not CM 5.0.5+" so just wondering.

If we have a launcher like helixlauncher2 from the market will this overwrite that?

Just installed it via "adb push Launcher2.apk /system/app/Launcher2.apk" dunno if this was right
It's working great, only trouble was that it reseted all my widgets. Had to remove them and then put them in again and everything is running smooth now

Running great on my Droid but I miss the 4 docking icons on home screen using Koush's ROM.

if you downloaded it from the market no it will not replace it but if you pushed the helixlauncher to /system/app/ it will

This gave me 'Problem loading widget' on all my previous widgets .......... strange.

I think you have to push it to /system/app like shown below:
adb push Launcher2.apk /system/app/Launcher2.apk

It's not the black background but it looks like google weather widget and i like the background img. i couldnt find any that looks like that.

I tried to install with AndroidSDK tools whatever it is
I connect with my laptop witn my n1
my laptop is windows 7
I installed AndroidSDK
so I open CMD
I typed
cd\
cd\AndroidSDK\tools\
adb devices
then it say detect it but doesnt show the number of my n1
then when I type
adb remount
I get fail
what did I do wrong??
I just download AndroidSDK and unzip it to my C Drive..
do I need to do more something after unzip it?

...google quick search widget is not a standalone app/widget, it´s in ADWLauncher, and as ADW gets fortunately lots of updates, better using a morph for google quick search widget.

There's wrong extension on the file, zip instead of apk
I renamed it to apk, and it was successful, but still just the regular Twitter here!!

How do you do an adb push with this widget? I downloaded it from my phone but it won't install. My adb application isn't working on my computer either (see the new thread under DInc Themes & Apps)

on that link it shows only the weather part of the genie widget, i would like to know if i can get the news w/ a transparent background or if it's only for weather

i made a semi-transparent one. i actually did it all on my phone, well except for the copying from SD card to /system.

yes, it's on mine. it has to be adb pushed on though. when you modify an app you break the signature so it won't simply install like a normal app. i guess there is a way to resign them, but i've had no luck at all trying to do that. i can email the file if anybody wants it. i don't have an account on any file sharing websites, sorry.

Can you send me the semi-transparent one you made? I PM'ed you.

How do you push it through to your phone using the command prompt?

touchpro provided a zip of this...just put that on your sd card, boot into recovery, and install from sd card...that is the easiest way...it looks really good on the phone!

i'll take a shot at it when im off work.

so far i was able to make a dark grey one for myself. but im going to attempt to make a black one

ok i just made a black one and installed it. so far its working good but i havent edited the name of it yet. if youre interested then just install the zip i attached (your_app_signed.apk). if you already have the lib installed from the OP then just install this apk and thats it. long press anywhere on your screen and click livewallpaper. the apk should show up as blue sparks still but its black. let me know how it goes.

I made a black one right now, you can install it like the other ones.

This is great, love it on my n1. The only choppy-ness is right as those first two sparks collide and after that its pretty smooth. my new favorite wallpaper.
I sent the apk files to my friend with a samsung, i guess he didnt have these on his, he only had to install the apk and they worked for him.

using the black one.very nice, good work.

was copying and pasting from his code used adb push liblwfa-0.A.2-mng-p1.so /system/lib/
looks like the dowloade is p.1.7z not sure if its updated or whats up..but after installing and trying to apply i get black sparks has stopped unexpectedly please try again wont load

You have to extract the.7z file with 7zip, you will get an .so file, push that

The Menu button is accessible if you go a level down into an artist or something. It should appear up in the top right. It would be nice if it was put in the soft key area, but they were probably trying to make it compatible with older phones.

It should be available in the market soon and I believe it will be compatible with GB once it releases in the market.

background gradient looks bad on 2.3.x, maybe because of 16bit colors

From what I've read around it does NOT have to be on ICS. I am going to try with ROOT EXPLORER and see what happens

Does not work on fascinate with fully working ICS. I think everyone will have to edit build.prop if you don't have a nexus s or nexus.

PowerAMP has many more features.
CM 9 Music is quite good though but has some bugs that make it 'beta' still IMO.
is there a dev thread/place to report bugs? Ive just found the blog page and G+ stream of the dev.

Works on my fascinate (which is running JT's build 5/Glitch V14) just fine
