looking for themes

ok running gumbo 1.5c bare without senseUI and looking at themes, could I first even apply them? and I was looking at themes to flash onto it instead of running a home replacement. would themes from here work?http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=514
or were would I find some?

Cant remember what page, but in this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=588351 emerica has a nice Nexus theme for the regular vanilla screen. Im building some themes for Sense...

It looks really good on stock, and even with sense it makes it look way sleeker! Try it out. Let us know what you think.

They should. They both run Android 1.5 with Sense, so they should be cross-compatible.

If you're talking about the HTC Sync icon in the taskbar when you plug it in...
Its in /system/app/PCSCII.apk Its located in the drawable folder.

LOL You're telling me. It was driving me NUTS trying to find that dang icon. Finally Chubbz told me where it was...LOL I was able to make every one in the taskbar transparent.

This is a ported Desire theme from the Nexus One. It is still in the Alpha stages and will be bumped up to a Beta hopefully by the end of today.

Im basing it off of fresh 2.0d, so you should be able to use it on other sprint leak based roms (correct me if im wrong lol)

Titties! I'm so glad I found this hahaa, the best looking theme I've come across for Sense so far.

I've ported the rosie over with some modifications just to see what this looks like. All of the sizes have to be reduced in order for this to work. I don't think I'll have the time to do the whole theme though. Here is a screenshot:

For some reason the zip he uploaded doesn't have the full trasparency.

Has this been tested on Gummyjar 2.5? I know you say it installs perfect on rubix but you make no mention of gummyjar. Just wanna make sure before I install.

That's in the services.jar file I have one I've already edited if you like I can email it to you this afternoon. The other text colors ie menu text etc is in the resources.arsc.

Yes this works on gummy 2.5 and its awesome. I loaded it up last night and its my fav theme so dar for gummy.

Lol yeah im retarded. Just flashed it on my DX and it works and looks fantastic. I'm extremely happy with this theme. That green and black combo was getting on my nerves

Eh, does appear to be different. Disregard.

That theme is built on the Samsung framework so things like the lockscreen cannot be ported. I dont know how much of this theme you are hoping to get onto your phone.

I will take a look at it and see what i can do. Will post back in a day or two with my findings. As said above the lockscreen probably cant be ported but i can probably port most of the rest.
Edit: after looking at the origonal thread it looks like this had a lor of custom elements. Before I even atrempt work on this I am going to have to message the creator and talk to them.additionally many of the menus can not be ported as is.
What are people looking for if I do take this ona besides the notification bar and icons and a few other minor pieces not sure it can be done.

dammit, i really like that lock screen, ,how come samsung has the good stuff. Is it impossible to port that lock screen over?

The lockscreen is part of the framework, the same way the sense lockscreen is part of the sense framework. You would mainly be able to change images like the status bar and menu items.

[ICONS] HoneyBlues - Modified Honeycomb Icons

Im on a honeycomb kick right now, thanks to the omegasun's new Honeycomb Dreams theme that i slapped on top of Mikfroyo. Im a bit of a icon nut and was not happy with some of the honeycomb icons in their original colors, so i photochopped these real quick. These are all the basics, but ill take some requests if ya have something you would like. All icons have a purple/blueish hue. I have a lighter blue pack if anyone is interested. Feel free to use with any roms/themes etc. I'd be flattered.

Yes please do, after all your theme was my inspiration. feel free to use them in your theme if you'd like as well.
I actually think im going to redo the hole set and go for a more matte light blue like the notification icons in your theme. then they would look great on the matted blues theme as well.
ill work on it tonight if i have time
i already started ripping icons from some of the more popular apps so i can theme those as well. but again i dont have a ton of time for this stuff.

Nope. You add them to your home screen with better cut, desktop visualizer, or similar apps.
That way you can, for example, use handcent or go sms with a stock Android icon.
Hope this makes sense.
