Here you go folks, a clear lockscreen for the ZenEXP My Touch Rom. This Rom kicks ass! I ended up editing some .xml's and .smali files to get this done...
I want to thank JsChiSurf for the assistance (He told me to remove the .jpg image in the .apk ) and for the inspiration in the world of Android Development. He's helped me through a lot. I also want to thank Zen for the AWESOME Rom to work off of...
I will also make a clockless lockscreen as well as some requests...For now here is the clear lockscreen for those that want it. You'll need to download HtcLockScreen.apk below and adb push it to your /system/app folder on your phone. You'll need to reboot as well...I'll post a singed .zip in a few.

I dont have pink icons. Mine are all blue. You sure you got the right rom? The newest rom has the blue icons.

I like the idea/clearscreen, but before I install it, does it have the audio/music player controls? I use that often, a clearscreen + audio controls would be the nuts.

looks great. im having trouble flashing though. after a flash and reboot i still have the standard zenexp lockscreen. any clues??
There may be issues with this and the my mode themes, as they add a lock screen wallpaper.

Yes, zen and zippy have done a great job with that MT3G ROM. The only thing that doesn't work is some of the CDMA-specific stuff, since this ROM is built from a GSM (Tmobile) framework. So you can't access the ##DATA# and other ##code## menus from dialer, you can't update Profile and PRL from the Settings>About Phone menu, and you can't change any settings in the Mobile Networks menu.
For those of you who want to be able to do that stuff regularly, the ZenEXP ROM doesn't have those featuers. Just fyi. But it's a great ROM -- I used it for a while as my daily one.
I've been using this rom for a few days and its incredible fast and stable!! Only problem i ran into was the gmail sync.. but its no bid deal for me. If only i could get the clear lock screen working it would be even more awesome.!

So how are we supposed to get around them?
I pushed file and flashed. Followed by reboot.
I then tried renaming the old HtcLockScreen.apk so there wasn't one at all.
No avail.
Any ideas?

It's likely they are both the same thing essentially with some changes to make it faster, make sure you Nandroid backup first, and try it and let us know your results.

Thanks for this man. I much prefer this to the stock Rosie. And as a side note, I had already taken out the HTC lockscreen, and this still flashed perfectly without any errors. Just got the taskbar and Espresso Rosie, exactly what I wanted.
This is awesome man, thanks! Downloading now. Is it possible to do a clear lockscreen? Curious cause I like the sleeker look it provides as well.

Unfortunately it is no longer easy to do everything separate most of the files are all located in the same apk's

This is a simple metamorph theme that replaces one image with a transparent one in Settings.apk. Tested with CyanogenMOD and Froyo but should work on all.

I had the widget already loaded so I removed it and tried to reapply it and then put it back and still doesn't come up.

yes it will. They are google's apps, I'm just making a few images transparent.
How do we undo this morph? This is the first morph I've ever done.
I've spent a lot of time looking for a working version the stock HTC_IME mod. I've noticed that themed versions worked, but the original mod from jonasl's thread never worked for me.
Impaler directed me to the HTC_IME mod kitchen and I went to work to recreate the stock HTC_IME look. I used photoshop to pull the correct background color from an image I found online and I cooked it.
Here is the result:

Get a file manager like EStrong file manager. Put the zip on your SD card somewhere you can find it (I made an "APKs" folder). Open estrong and go to the zip file and click on the apk you want. It should ask if you want to install. If it asks, enable install from unknown sources.

Put on your sd card, navigate to it with something like astro file manager or root explorer, and then click and select instal
OK, I've got it installed and calibrated. When I calibrate, the new keyboard comes up but when I got to my messages, internet or anything else that uses the keyboard the stock keyboard still comes up. The box is checked next to the HTC keyboard for the default keyboard but it's still not popping up. Any suggestions?
Go to any text box and longpress on it. Select "input method" and choose "HTC_IME mod".

Love it. The stock keyboard is terrible and the Sense one worked so much better. At first I thought it was because I changed from a G1 to a Hero, but when I rooted and installed CM 6 I saw that it was just a crappy stock keyboard. Nice work on it.

It doesn't work on my Hero with cyanogen 6.1.0.
I see the keyboard on parameter menu, but long press in a sms, is without effects...:-(

would it really need to be signed if i was just pushing the file and not flashing it?
I meant the zip I wouldnt try flashing that or adb pushing that esp since its the framework which can destroy your phone if not done right but you can push it if you want but be advised

Sorry I was forum hopping and couldn't remember, nice job btw. Curious now that its metamorph, it shouldn't change the system font and the dialogue boxes and the colors of the dropdown? Would it only change the layout, ie my themed colors would remain?

i had the same problem. the colored theme might be messing up metamorph considering you're playing with the frameworks. try using a stock build and see if the theme is the problem

i don't think it would work because CM has a different framework. you can always make a nandroid and try it out if you're brave enough to try it on AOSP let us know how it works
I have made a fix for the icons in the power menu that pops up when holding down the power bottom. This will not change any themes you have on your phone it will simply point your android.policy.jar at the correct pngs. The icons in the screen shot are based off of Myn's TwoPointTwo stock theme, with the exception of the red 3G, so if yours has been themed different the icons may look different.
It was brought to my attention by javi_06 that there was some issues with the wording for the RLS5 menus. I have updated it and it is now reading properly. the third zip is the correct zip. thank you to javi_06 for letting me know the issues. and thank you to all who are using these.
This is now in MYN'S RLS 5 for anyone not using the Disable Menu Unlock AOSP Lockscreen MOD by chingy51o. If you would like to have this using that mod use the third zip. (reboot-menu.zip)
RLS5 IS STILL IN THE BETA STAGES BUT SHOULD BE RELAESED SOON. The third zip will work for the beta and final after it is released.
For those of you with the Disable Menu Unlock AOSP Lockscreen MOD by chingy51o use the second zip (reboot-menu.zip)
Download the attached file at bottom of the post, put the zip file on your sdcard, do a nandroid backup, then flash though recovery, and enjoy.

Hey thanks for the fix I actually never noticed this before but when applying your update it broke the menu disable feature for my Vanilla lock. I know there is a thread or on MYN's main page a fix for this. I think you may have to use that .jar file to make the changes.

yeah it seems that alot of people never notice but I use this a lot working on my theme and it was bugging the hell out of me so i had to stop work on my theme and fix this
