Anybody know of an app that corrects spelling, like google does? Preferably a dictionary which tells you what the word you were trying to type was.
I can only find normal ones

Quick question, is anyone having issues with auto-correct and /or inbuilt dictionary words? This is using the default keyboard, the only suggested words seem to be those relating to contacts etc which suggests only the user based dictonary is working....
Cant recall if this has ever worked so it maybe related to one of the roms im running.
This doesn't seem to be an issue with the Asus keyboard.
Thanks.
I want Norwegian voice for my Navigon GPS (as the street names sound weird in English), but I want the rest of my phone in English.
I tried renaming the Norwegian sound files to English and vice versa, but that didn't work.
I can live with the program being in Norwegian, but the best would be English everything (minus voice).
Any ideas? Thanks!
Is this in the right section?
Bump........

hello there. did you find the answer? i need it too
I've found a solution!!!
Apparently it only works if you change the language of your entire system. But sometimes you haven't got the proper language or you don't wanna change. Then you can use the app morelocale2. I've found this on another bbs.
1. Download MoreLocale2 app from the market and install it.
2.Choose your language
3.Open Navigon and it will automatically detect your selected language and use it for UI and SOUNDS.
Doubt it...

I strongly doubt this approach, morelocale2 just gives you more languages it does not fix this specific issue, when you switch to a different locale you make the whole phone change its locale, not just Navigon. The point here was to try and change the Navigon's audio language WITHOUT changing the locale.
Solutions, anyone?
have anyone found a solution for this ?
Hi is there an app that can understand handwriting and convert to text I remember this on previous touchscreen phones but seems to be gone at the moment
mobilewrite could do that, but it got removed from the market...
Could be useful...
Can anyone offer any similar app?
I would like to change local for Facebook.
I use English on the phone but want Facebook in my native language, Swedish.
Searched long and hard and found nothing, except there is a app that make it work on 4.1.*, but not on 4.2.*>
Anyone got a good tip?
Bump.......
I like this Alreader for reading books. It says it can use various dictionaries. I have several compatible ones, Quickdic, Free Dictionary Aabby Lingvo.
I set any of these in preferences, but when I look up a word it tells me dictionary not found. I have even copied the dictionaries into the Alreader folder.
The best I can do is go to Share, where Aabby shows up, and use that. But this is not so good.
It would be great if I could add app shortcuts to the share menu, but this seems impossible also.
Could someone help me to configure a good dictionary for Alreader?
Does anyone use Alreader?

Hi,
I too had the "dictionary not found" message despite having compatible dictionaries installed. The solution for me was to is to simply uninstall the app followed by a re install
Hope that helps
Cheers
Hi
Had the same issue, googled it a bit, found a solution.
Use "English Dictionary - Offline" by Livio. Just installed it, launched AlReader and it was able to detect this dictionary and use it.
Good luck!
