QBot v1.002
QBot is an application designed to solve the Rubiks Cube, exclusively for Android Mobile Devices.
It can with impressive speed, calculate the solution by simply taking a photograph of each face.
The ‘Color Recognition System’ incorporated within the QBot, along with amazing precision can recognize all the faces of each photograph thanks to a complex algorithm.

Nice vid, thats pretty cool!
Any thoughts on adding a virtual cube you can watch being solved on the screen? (Visual instructions more so than textual instructions)
We are aware that the text instructions can be a bit complicated to follow and we are working on a solution that will simplify this.
Very cool app. Loving the camera mode. I've had a messed up rubiks cube for years that I haven't solved, never got the hang of the instructions!
+1 for a graphical/simpler solution though, would definitely help with mass appeal!
Subscribed! This is awesome!
this is too amazing!!
question about your app
Very cool app.
very cool, when can we see a beta release?
Why not learn how to solve one for yourself? It's not actually that hard.
www.speedcubing.com
How goes the development? Ready for any beta testers yet?
would love to beta test this
We are sorry that we had to push the release date forward but we are working really hard to get everything working as smooth as possible until the beta release.
Also we are now looking for beta testers so if you are interested please send a mail to [email protected] with you full name as well as what type of android phone(s) you own.
applied!
Hello my friend.
I saw your video in Youtube, and I believe is too hard for someone to use your app because it uses word directions. I think you must take a look to CubeCheater, which is a Rubik's Cube Solver for iPhone.
Search to the youtube for "CubeCheater iPhone"
Yes, we are aware of that. But remember that this video is an early alpha version. We are working on a 3d animation of the solution right now, therefore the delay on the release.
Ok then, I am waitting your first release, and I can be a beta tester if you want, I have a HTC Desire.
How to become a Beta tester? because i want te be a tester, i got a nexus one.
got the Cube in my hand right now
--edit--
Email sended for beta testing.
Really cool app. Thumbs up
The registration period for a QBot Android Client beta key is now to an end, I would like to thank all of you for the huge interest you have all showed in this beta release. If you did not get a mail back I am afraid you did not get an beta key. For all of you who did receive an email, congrats! we will begin to send out the first build within a few days.

Hey everyone,
I'm currently in my final year at uni, and part of the course is a project where I basically have a develop a piece of software. My choice was an Android shopping price comparison application ala ShopSavvy.
You may ask why I decided to create an application, which a working version already exists. Firstly I did this for the technical challenge, and didn't really think I'd be releasing this publically. I've decided though that there is a good chance that I'll release this. Second is that my application has an added feature which allows users to contribute to the database!
Currently it has nearly all the features that ShopSavvy has including searching, barcode scanning and price alerts. I've tried to keep the UI standard Android as much as possible, and I think it runs a bit quicker than ShopSavvy. Currently it's UK and US only, but I plan to make it more global friendly as soon as possible. It's also Donut (1.6) or newer due to me using some Donut only features (Search mainly).
BETA Released!
I've released a beta onto Android Market. At the moment, it's only available in the UK and US but will be available for more countries soon.
QRcode for Market Link:
http://www.cyrket.com/p/android/com.brightbuyr.android/
One thing I would like to feedback on the application. Just general stuff really but focusing on:
Users of HDPI devices (Droid, Nexus One, etc) on how the layout looks
General bugs (FCs, ANRs)
If you'd like to give feedback on the beta. Please do so on the following link, it's only a very short form:

Thanks
What Uni do you go to,

I go to Aston university Mainly just using the thing and reporting back with feedback, nothing special.
id be happy to beta test it.
The name sucks : Just saying...
I really like the UI. I can beta test too, I have a N1.
Looks nice, I like how it shows nearby shops on the map. Radius would be IMO better in the form of slider rather than drop down list. It would be also useful if it could tell me opening times.
Beta Released! See the original post!!!
It looks good enough in the Nexus one. Good work
Just uploaded version 0.1.2b onto the Market. Now works in the US as well (hopefully anyway lol)
Just uploaded v0.2.0 onto the Market. Mainly bugfixes but also a small help system.
I was chosen to do a survey of two different versions of the new Vlingo app, so I got some screenshots. Wondered what you guys think of the new version of the app that will soon be released in a month or so..
Version 1:

Version 2:
I love the new interfaces, not sure which version they will go with. That's the reason they wanted us to give feedback. I love the humor of the "way too loud" screen.
And no I will not share an APK, so please don't ask. I'm under very strict rules. Sorry guys. Which I could.
This much nicer than the old one.
I would love to try this.
looks a lot better
I think version 1 looks the best from a ui standpoint. Interested to see how the new release works
Sent from my ADR6400L using XDA Premium App
Looks really great - though would love to see a dark theme. Also hoping they've incorporated new features such as the equilavent of google's "listen to". Vlingo tends to be more accurate I've found.
I can't make up my mind over which version I prefer - both look great.
the UI looks beautiful, any ETA?
Version 1 for me.
Version 2's UI reminds me of the Edwin interface.
Personally i am happy with any UI... cuz i just HOLD the search key to run Vlingo... just curious about the features...
so in this new version, it seems you have more options as to what you can tell vlingo to do...
is this correct?
can you maybe list some features?

Yep. Through voice commands it can post facebook and twitter statuses (possibly other social services down the road.. who knows), it can send sms, emails, and can make phone calls, open up google searches, it can open up google maps and navigation with specific addresses and such (eg. "Navigate to 1313 Mockingbird Lane"), and it can open other applications.
As for the ETA, not completely sure. Could be another month or more.
excellent apps have been using it lately.
Like the 1st version but would prefer a darker theme as vlingo is most used app on my phone.
Version 1.
Love to have a widget that is customizable (transparent background, different colors, layouts, etc.)
niiiiiice....,
I prefer version 1. However both do look a lot cleaner then the current version.
Hello All!
Xatik Group is pleased to announce that we have reached a point in development that we can call Beta!
Our app, Droid Draw, is a remake of the classic 'Turtle Graphics'. Droid Draw uses a few of the commands from the LOGO programming language to direct an android guy around your screen!
You'll be amazed at how much time this can waste if you love creating weird and different shapes.
Our goal is to release the Droid Draw Beta on August 3rd, 2012. This date is not set in stone, but it is a goal for us. Also, the beta will last approximately 2 weeks. After that we will focus on fixing all bugs and finally release version 1 of Droid Draw!
If you would like to help us test our App, please fill out the form here: http://www.xatik.com/2012/07/23/droid-draw-beta/
And we will send out the App via email.
(We apologize if our website seems unresponsive. We are having issues with our web host)
All comments are greatly appreciated! Please help us improve this app for everyone.
Here are some preview pictures of our App.

We're hoping to get as many Beta testers as possible.
Also, if you want to follow along with our progress, you can visit our repository on Bitbucket: https://bitbucket.org/XatikGroup/droiddraw
Note: This means our App is going to be completely FREE and Open Source!
Feel free to submit issues when the Beta starts!

Glad to see people remember this app!
Hopefully this will bring back good memories
And if it doesn't you'll at least be able to guide us in the direction to make it better!
Hey everyone!
We're still looking for more Beta testers!
If you don't want to fill out the form on our website that's fine, just post in here so we can gauge interest.
All we really need is which phone you use and what version of Android you're using!
That way we can tell which phones work and which ones don't.
Thanks for all of the support!
When the app is ready I will be sure to add a link here as well as send out emails to those that signed up.
Wow we just made some serious progress!
A quick peek at one new feature we added, RND.
The random command is now working and is how this image was generated. It uses random loop lengths and random colors.
We're still looking for people to Beta test so feel free to sign up here (don't worry, everyone that signs up can participate!) -> http://www.xatik.com/2012/07/23/droid-draw-beta/
Wow another day and another feature added to Droid Draw!
I finally got animations working
This just means I'm one step closer to getting Beta ready for everyone!
Time to polish everything else.
Oh and just an fyi, we're still accepting beta participants so don't be afraid to sign up! -> goo.gl/cbuUL

Hello all,
As a guitar player I've been missing a proper mobile application to record ideas that might pop into my head when I don't have a guitar (or recording studio) around. I got the idea of quickly being able to tap down tabulature and rythm into an app one year ago and started developing the app immediately. It has taken a long while, especially getting that latency down and make a responsive user experience. I've released the first version which I think many people will find useful, but I will continue to develop more features based on user feedback.
Creating a riff or solo is a two step process.
1. Touch all the notes you want in your riff. This includes bends, vibratos, palm mutes, chords etc. Do not think about timing of the notes, that's in step 2.
2. Press the "Record" button (button with circle in middle on top of screen). Tap when the next note should be played / strummed until the end of the song.
If you are happy you can now save the riff, or experiment further.
If you'd like to store the current state of your riff, you can save and clone it to continue in another file.
Anyways, I'd like to tell you about my app, hopefully you like it. It's available for Android phones currently, and should work on both phones and tablets.
Watch demonstration and get it at Google Play. :cyclops:
Also, suggestions or feedback is most welcome!

I've been looking for something like this for a very long time. I often have riff ideas and humming them into my phones voice recorder doesn't cut it.
This will work great! Thanks for the hard work!

Thanks for the positive feedback my own techniqe involved repeating the riffs in my head until I believed I would remember them... and I didn't , and many good ideas got lost on the train home...
I'm afraid that you forgot to add a link to play store!
eidt
Sorry didn't saw that you got low posts count
I've just watched the video and that looks great. I think I may have to check this out a bit more once I get time. Excellent app.
Here's a play link for those interested: Mod edit: Link removed.
@guitarman8 While I appreciate the effort and hard work that's gone into this, and may well buy the app myself, you're not allowed to use us to advertise paid apps unless there is also a free version.
I'll close this thread for now, but PM me when there's a free version and I'll open it for you again
Free link added and thread re-opened
After a few months of on and off part-time efforts, I've managed to design and develop an android game. Its a small autocross game called SkidPad. Currently I have a lite version published and am working on pushing out a full version soon.
This is my very first attempt at pushing something out to an app store.
It should be there on Google Play under the name "SkidPad Lite"
Its an autocross style game where you need to cross a sequence of checkpoints in order as fast as possible. Points will be deducted for cutting the track. Unlock cars/levels as you play.
The controls are quite simple using the touch interface. The tilt interface though.. I'm not a big fan of it, so its still pathetic. That will probably need some more work.
It would be really great if the forum members try out the game and provide some feedback
Providing a link will be come in handy!!!

Thanks a lot. Since I'm pretty much a "new" member (been lurking around the forum for years without posting much), the system didn't allow me to post a link. I can't even quote your message that has the link in it. All for greater good I guess.
However, that will not be a problem going forward
Here are a couple of screenshots from the game.. Hope you all like it

Nope. This was entirely done using the Proton SDK in C++. I'm not that comfortable with Java or C#.
Proton is a nice and free SDK, but it lacks documentation - basically you have to run through the code to find out what's what.
