Does anyone know where I can find the app that Google released on April 1st? Yes, I do realize that it was an April Fools joke, but it was still a fun little app to mess with people with? It's not in the market anymore. Any help would be appreciated!

I don't know how many of you know already but if you update your Google Maps in the market, Google Navi will automaticlly be installed. But First You need to have Speech Synthesis Installed. You can install that by hitting MENU>SETTINGS>SPEECH SYNTHESIS>INSTALL. Hope this information helps anyone who is going to use it.
Yes we know.
haha, just a tad bit late behind the times on this one, bro.

April Fools Joke by Google to the Android Users. It is still pretty funny though.
Hey guys has anyone managed to get hold of this yet?
I think it may be an amazing idea. I'd be interested to know if you can make widgets with it too.
What are your views ?

Still waiting on some kind of response as well... I remember when signing up for Voice, it took a month or two to hear back and get the invitation. I'd be interested to know if anyone has actually gotten their hands on the App Inventor yet.
im waiting still too....its nerve racking : D
Same here , lets hope for a mail soon
I'm waiting for the mail too.

Still waiting on my invite. I have a whole bunch of ideas for new soundboards too
No sign of my invite yet either, really looking forward to this.
Just so you guys know, this isn't an app you can pass around. Once you get the invite, its done through HTML5. Sorry to burst your bubble, but if you dont get an invite, there will be no way to use it

I agree but I also think that although there will be a lot of crap there will be some really good stuff. Just that little spark of genius.
And personally I would like to build apps to help me out. Almost like macros.

why soundboards exist? man I think they are useless....

I think because they are easy to code.
Fortunately I have read the Google faq and the question of apps flooding the market is asked.
This is the answer:
Currently there are technical limitations to being able to upload an App Inventor app to the Andorid Market but we are actively evaluating the best way to integrate with the Market.

Download the source from Google App inventor and find the code that gets detected and change it around a bit.
Thats how most things get past detection.
HOWEVER, I will not do this of course, I am going to use App inventor for personal apps or publish it out of the market.
I have a strange thing how I learn programming, I tend to learn more from examples of code and I have learned LUA(For Gmod) and PAWN(for AMXX) but those are scripting languages.
Some App inventor apps might be worth to be on the market.
There is already lots of messy apps out there but the rating system takes care of that.
I got my invite Monday but haven't got around to trying it out yet, but i don't think you'll be able to make complex apps with this i might take a look at it next week if i get a chance i'll let ya'll know if its really game changing or not .
I take no credit for this app. Received this as an email today.
Dear Android user, We have been working on a new version of our Android app for a while and we're getting close to launch. We have done some changes to the user interface to improve the user experience, and we have tried to improve the overall speed and performance.
Before we officially launch the app we are inviting some Zedgers to try it out. We hope that you take your time to install it on your Android device and check it out. This will give us valuable information that we can use to eliminate bugs and errors.
To install the app, go to this address in your Android browser http://zedge.net/apk/ zedge.apk
We would also appreciate if you sent us an email with feedback [email protected]
Hope you like it. Have a great Christmas and a Happy New Year!
Regards, The Zedge Android Team

Hey everyone,
I'm going on vacation to the US and for those people in the US, I wanted to know what services you guys use that are exclusive to the US. For example, things like Google Voice, Spotify, Google Muisc aren't available in Canada, so I thought I'd make use of my time in the US and get some of these awesome services. I've already made accounts for Google Voice and Google Music. Is there anything else you guys recommend?
