I know I'm reaching again, but has anyone figured out how to get back to original HBoot AFTER using RUU_Hero_C_Sprint_2.20.651.1_signed_test.exe?
I think the original stock Hboot was 1.41.0000
And I now have 1.47.0000
Anyway, I have gotten my phone almost back to 100% stock minus Hboot, and believe it's causing problems with my phone.

Hello all,
Was just wondering if anyone can help me as I am trying to unroot the phone to send back for warranty reasons as main speaker is not working anymore.
First restored the original partition 7 from gfree and ran its unroot
it put back the 0.86.0000 hboot but still showing S-OFF though.
tried to flash the PD15IMG.zip for gingerbread and let it do all the updates and is still on s-off but showing 0.86.0005 now.
When booting it gives the normal first vibration then about a second or two later I get another vibration.
Has all the right software just seems like something is different and not running 100% stock yet.
Any ideas what I am missing?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Ive heard it can take a couple of tries of rooting and unrooting for it to show s-on. try rerooting it with the same method you used to root and then just get the stock pd15img to flash. Make sure you downgrade the bootloader first though if its now the gingerbread bootloader. Good Luck!
you mean the 0.86.0000 hboot?

0.86.000 is the stock hboot, you should be good to go.
yeah that is what I had didn't help
I assume should be engineering hboot
do gfree procedures
then put 0.86.0000
ive seen references to an eng hboot for the inspire 4g. im still a lil fuzzy on what DHD stuff can be flashed on the inpire so bear with me
im am radio s-offed and wondering if there is a download for an eng hboot somewhere thats not hidden inside a root tool.
i miss some of my fastboot commands and would like to run an engineering bootloader if one is available that works with all firmwares.
im not normally one to ask for info, but searching the entire inspire section for eng hboot, engnineering hboot, eng bootloader, engineering bootloader and even just plain eng and engineering didnt turn one up.
thanx for any info

It's out there - but jams up booting on Inspire devices shipped with Gingerbread. If that's you - don't even think about it. If your phone was shipped with Froyo, applied and used correctly, it's fine, however unnecessary.
On my Inspire ENG S-OFF has been made correctly with DHD One click ENG S-OFF tool, but I do not remember with what firmware it was on sale.
thanks for the replys. i was able to find hboot-eng.nb0 inside the s-off tool mentioned above.
just curious... whats the difference in shipped with GB vs froyo? i picked this phone up used,so no idea what it shipped with
by jams up,i assume you mean it hangs at the htc screen and wont boot?
I bought my Inspire at the beginning of December, and tried that same tool. Everything worked fine, them I rebooted. It died.I yanked the battery, and no response. 10 minutes later, then phone came on by itself and vibrated for about two minutes while stuck on the boot screen. Then it loaded just fine.
But, it would do the same thing if I ever rebooted.
Thinking I would be slick, I flashed the original stock rom from htc so it would install the original bootloader. Bricked immediately! It would never leave the bootscreen.
So, I returned it to Walmart, and got a new one. So, if you aren't sure about when your phone was shipped out, don't do it. Bad juju.
too late! i was running the 3.12.405.1 wwe rom and flashed the eng hboot. rebooted bootloader, and it was a .85 hboot,so i thot it would be ok,but stuck at htc screen on reboot.
unlike your experience,i flashed the stock att ruu and it was fine. currently reflashing and resetting up 3.12.405.1 rom.
did the tool turn your radio secure flag off and super CID you? maybe its got somethin to do with that? or something with the tool? i had installed it via a PD98IMG file in fastboot
thanks for the warning,if id seen it sooner,i prolly wouldnt have bothered. one thing i did notice was that with the eng hboot i was unable to fastboot oem rebootRUU resulted in a "FAILED!" error

Sooo jealous. I don't really know if the tool ever truly worked because I could never get back into bootloader to check any of it. Now, it isn't so much that I need eng s-off, but that it has issued a challenge by bricking my phone. It's personal.

It's highly doubtful you actually bricked it. I can fix these. But since you no longer have it, we'll never know.
I seriously need help getting back to stock. I'm trying to use RUU 2.35. I double click and it acts like it's about to do something then the screen goes away and nothing happens.
Ok, I figured out why it wasn't allowing me to get passed that screen. But I have no encountered another problem. When it gets to the point where it verify's my android information, nothing shows up in the image version. I went through the rest of the steps, it said that it had failed. Please help, thanks.
Hboot needs to match, if you installed the jelly bean ota, you can't flash the 2.35 ruu because of the lower hboot version.
Have you flashed the standard recovery and re-locked the bootloader.
Hi Guys, I've tried to do this myself reading other posts and not creating a thread but I have failed miserably so I am in need of some advice now. I need to try and get back to stock due to a warranty issue so I was following this guide here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1460713
It seemed to be going well and I flashed the hboot which removed the revolutionary version, the RUU I used was the only Tmobile version I could find RUU_Saga_TMO_UK_1.30.110.2_R_Radio_20.28b.30.0805U_38.03.02.11_M_release_180106_signed and it started running through, it updated the hboot which is now S-On version 0.98.0000 but after that point it failed with error 140.
I don't understand why this has happened though as surely the version 0.98.0000 HBoot version is what is installed by the RUU itself so how can this be the wrong version? Is there something else I'm missing here.
At this point the phone is connected by USB to my laptop still and sat in HBoot, I'm not even sure if I can safely reboot at the moment so need some advice on what to do next?
I did that, had the same problem (around 3 weeks before you). I just ran it a gazillion times and then, I ended up flashing RUU_SAGA_ICS_35_S_HTC_EU_14.01.401.2_20.76.30.0835_3831.19.00.110_275068 anyway. That worked. T-Mobile/HTC never said a word, fixed it and then sent my phone back.
But beware, the phone sent back will return on:
Android 4.0.4
Sense 3.6
Hboot 2.02.0002
Radio 20.76.30.0835U_3831.19.00.110

So your problem is solved ? I want go back to S-ON and would get some feedbacks before doing this
I've spent the past 24 hrs (literally) searching these forums for a solution with no sucess. Short story is I tried putting a custom ROM on my Sprint HTC One with catastrophic results. The only thing that went according to the step-by-step instructions was unlocking my bootloader via the HTC site. My phone is currently useless and all I really want at this point is to get it back to a working stock state. I tried loading Android_Revolution_HD-One_30.0zip which did not work, and then several other zips claiming to return the HTC One to stock. Somewhrere in the process it looks like my radio image was deleted. Here is what my bootloader shows:
*** UNLOCKED ***
M7_WLS PVT SHIP S-ON RH
HBOOT-1.55.0000
OpenDSP-v31.120.274.0617
OS-3.04.651.2
eMMC-boot 2048MB
Sep 18 2013,15:46:04.0
I'm wondering if fastboot was even flashing anything at all, since the bootloader screen seems to read the same as I tried several other roms, like GURU Reset.
You can see that no radio is listed. I have downloaded a radio image but it seems as though flashing a radio image is not possible with S-ON. It would also seem that getting S-OFF is not possible with HBOOT1.55. So do I have any options for getting my phone operational again? Can I flash an image that will restore the radio? Or can I get S-OFF with HBOOT1.55? Or can I get back to HBOOT1.44?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I ran into the exact same issue! haha, im nearly finished my day and a half adventure trying to solve it.
What i did was i unlocked the bootloader again, bc after the RUU it locked it, or well i locked it.
after it was unlocked, i flashed cw recovery.
i tried mounting internal storage, but wasnt working, so i plugged in my otg usb drive to micro usb, with a stock rom, and flashed just fine.
now im just stuck at the part where the hboot is messing with my screen, but at least i got past the damn HTC LOGO and can recieve calls-ish xD
So it looks like my issue is related to hboot1.55. I tried a 1.31.651.2 RUU but it failed. Looks like I need atleast a 3.04 rev of higher.
I managed to find a website with an RUU (3.04.651.2_firmware.zip) that successfuly loaded via fastboot rebootRUU mode. However, the zip file is only 40 MB and it hangs at a blackscreen after the HTC splash screen on boot. It atleast does now show a radio listed, although it is a rev1.00 instead of what I thought was a rev4.x.
I tried to load the 4.3.zip file from the same site, which was a 1GB, but it gave me a signature verify fail error.
I'm wondering if there is another RUU out there somewhere that will get me operational again.
Have you tried installing the stock rom and manaually flashing boot.img using adb command
Sent from my X10S using xda app-developers app
So I managed to salvage my phone. After flashing an rev 3.04.651.2 RUU, I at least got my radio back. The I flashed the latest InsertCoin rom for the HTC One which is based on the stock rev 3.04 so the flashing actually was allowed.
I like where I'm at except that the radio verison listed in my bootloader is rev 1.00.20.xx and I notice my 4G LTE is down at 8 Mbps down & 2 Mbps up compared to about 25 Mbps down and 8 to 15 Mbps up before all this started.
So I'm asking if anyone knows for sure a way to update the radio with a sprint hboot 1.55 HTC One? Can the radio even be updated? IF not, what are my options to get a current radio?
It is also curious to me that flashing with a 3.04.651.2 firmware put a rev 1.00.20 radio on my phone. Anyone have any insight to this?
Thanks for any help!
