[MOD] Android 2.0 Rotary Lockscreen. No Haptic Feedback Option - Updated 5/27 - Hero CDMA Themes and Apps

EDIT: Updated 5/27/10, all mods posted here ARE compatible with the latest 2.1 deodexed release EXCEPT the no haptic feedback option listed under EDIT 4 at the end of this post. For a no haptic version compatible with Fresh 2.1.2 (or similar deodexed ROM), see here.
Though not necessarily my goal, I seem to be focusing on lockscreen mods/fixes lately. Not that I want to be known just for lockscreens, but hey, I give the people what they want .
See bottom of post for MetaMorph versions to make it easier to apply without affecting existing modifications.
I saw some chatter here about the Android 2.0 style rotary / dial lockscreen (see here), that got replaced with the current Android 2.1 style sliding tabs lockscreen, and figured it would be fun to take a look and see what may be involved in trying to port it over to our current build. Turns out, after some intensive code modifications, I was able to successful port it over .
Following are screenshots, and a link to a video, showing the "rotary" version of the vanilla lockscreen in action:

}
The video demo is jittery, as the screen capture couldn't keep up with the rotation. You won't actually experience this "jitter" in real-time:
Video Demo
This version of the vanilla lockscreen also contains the fixes for menu key unlock disable, removal of emergency call button after airplane mode (thanks flipz), and removal of the emergency call button on the footer of the keypattern unlock screen.
If you are currently running the stock HTC Lockscreen, you will need to move your HTC Lockscreen out of the way, via adb, so that the vanilla lockscreen is used instead, by doing the following:
Code:
adb remount
adb shell
cd /system/app
mv HtcLockScreen.apk HtcLockScreen.bak
exit
The attached flashable zip is currently the "stock" version of the lockscreen (including the fixes referenced), however, I will also soon be posting textless and custom wallpaper versions, similar to the vanilla Android 2.1 lockscreen mods I posted previously.
You can flash the attached zip from recovery without fear of undoing any other customizations or themes you may have applied, since it only includes the 'android.policy.jar' file. My starting point was Fresh 2.0d, but this should work on any Sprint leak based ROM.
You may also want to flash flipz's zips for the alarm clock issues with vanilla style lockscreens. I have not tested this and do not know if the same issues exist with this version. I am assuming they do.
Note: MetaMorph tends to have trouble applying changes to multiple framework files in a single morph, which this mod includes, and as such, applying the MetaMorph may require multiple tries. If your phone freezes / reboots when attempting to apply the final step, it may come back up with only some of the mod/theme applied (you'll still see the black taskbar). If this is the case, apply the MetaMorph again, this time, only selecting the final sub-theme, 'framework-res.apk'.
Download Android 2.0 Vanilla Rotary Lockscreen <--- Flash via recovery
NOTE: Since this replaces a framework file, your first reboot will take some time, as your Davlik cache will be rebuilt. Don't panic .
EDIT 1: See this post to download MetaMorph updates for applying different backgrounds to the stock rotary lockscreen WITH carrier / time / date text.
EDIT 2: See this post to download MetaMorph updates for applying different backgrounds to the rotary lockscreen WITHOUT carrier / time / date text.
EDIT 3: See this post to download a MetaMorph update to clear out the direction arrows if you do not want them. Apply this ONLY after first applying your desired lockscreen version.
EDIT 4: See this post to remove the haptic feedback after having first flashed your desired rotary version above.

This should be considered a very preliminary version, and things may unwittingly break, but it seems to be working fine for me. Please report any issues you may have, and ALWAYS nandroid before flashing.

I'll need more detail than that. What by didn't work do you mean? What does your logcat say? It'll definitely take a while to boot, as a framework change will cause a cache rebuild.

Worked for me. Actually, I pushed android.policy through adb.

I'll definitely do MetaMorphs for the textless & wallpaper versions, as this affects other framework files that you may already have done customizations to.
However, for this "stock" version, a MetaMorph is not necessary, as it will NOT affect any other changes you've made in any way. It will simply replace the standard Vanilla lock screen with the Rotary version.

Alright guys, I told you I was working on a new rom. I'm happy to finally release an Android Open Source Project (AOSP) based rom. I've teamed up with Bcnice20, I'm sure ya'all know him from working on the MIUI port for the Evo. The two of us are going to be maintaining and updating this ROM.
First lets start off with....

v0.4.2b
Fixed lockscreen switching issue with phone. *me - this is a workaround that just kills the phone process so it has to reload.
Made Launcher dynamically load icons for each hotseat, instead of preset drawables. *me
Changed Launcher layout to something a little better looking. This is still a huge work in progress, trying to set it up for a highly customizable launcher.
Changed a few other minor things to get this thing building for the Droid Incredible. All versions will reflect the same, except most inc roms will be alpha's.
Changed/Added default wallpaper to an Evervolv Wallpaper. * thanks a lot to wrx4memp
v0.4.1
Fixed Bluetooth.
v0.4
Added option for rotary dial lockscreen *Kmobs
Added rotary dial call answer screen (enabled when rotary lockscreen is, Still buggy.... a reboot is required when changing or it will FC when a call comes in.)*Coded by me with the help of Kmobs original lockscreen mod.
Started more customizable options (non-functional right now) *me
Added CM's reboot option temporarily. I really want to make this look unique so it will change soon enough. *CM team
Changed string for reboot in the Phone Options menu to say "Reboot Options" *me
Added CM's Phone and Contacts in an effort to get Facebook contacts to sync... Still working on this guys. *CM team
Added menu icons for Launcher menu. *Google Images is my friend! Credit to the unknown authors.
Made expanded notification bar background transparent. *me
Did some fixing in the Boot.img / Ramdisk. *me
Found a missing jar that was suppose to be included with the GAPPS (com.google.android.maps.jar). Not sure why this wasn't but it is now! *me
v0.3
Changed to Launcher2 *Google
New UI for Launcher - This is in the development stages, many of the UI elements are not as they should be. i.e icons *Coded by me
Added EVParts - Settings app for some of the settings that I will be making User-Customizable. This is based off of googles Spare Parts app. Also in development stage (can be accessed in Settings > Evervolv Settings. * Thanks google.
Made the lockscreen carrier caption User-Customizable. (Settings > Evervolv Settings > Lockscreen Settings) *Coded by me.
Changed Settings icons to some that look a lot more appealing! * Google is your friend to find small images! Found all these from random sites.
v0.2
Changed battery icon to AOSP, w/ percentage.
Changed order of Settings to be a little more aesthetically pleasing.
Added item under "About Phone" settings to show Rom Version.
Issues/Workarounds
Apps2SD/Dalvik2SD Workaround
Download a terminal emulator or Use ADB Shell to administer these commands
Code:
a2sd reinstall (it will run and then want to reboot)
a2sd cachesd (again it will want to reboot)
a2sd check (this will tell you if it worked correctly)

I'm actually going to go to an AOSP looking one with percentage. I put that in there because I liked it... awaiting a different theme. I'll put an update out tomorrow or the next.
Also, any update will most likely be a FULL update, unless its just to patch an error or something. When compiling from source.... the resource ID's (strings, arrays, drawables, etc...) are created at the time of compiling. So if theres any changes to these, all the files that reference them will need to be replaced. Unfortunately any themes from CM most likely wont work for this rom either. Unless you were to replace only the images in the framework-res.apk.

really nice looking rom, do you think the snap turbo kernel will work with this?
This is just my 2cents, but just keep it simple the way it is. If anything make performance tweaks and whatever you can add/do to help the battery consumption. Remove anything that's not necessary to boot up the system and run it, if we want something extra we can always download it and add it to it. Looking for the donate...
Thanks

Deodexted? I assume so, since you mentioned a theme but it does not specify anywhere. Just curious. I wanna flash the stock fonts. Im eager to try this ROM.
Nice to see some more AOSP ROMs on the Forums. Before the next MIUI Update i'll be sure to try this out.
I'm really suprised that this rom is not getting more attention, ITS AMAZING!! Very fast and very stable so far since I have been using it. My only complaint is that damn battery icon, just cant get used to it . Anyways I've used this rom with netarchy univ, zendroid, and kings kernels and they all work great!! Kings gives me great battery life with your rom and so far is the best aosp for batter life in my case. Also get some good quadrant numbers with zen's. Anyways awesome rom and I cant wait to see how you improve it

Changed order of Settings to be a little more aesthetically pleasing.

[MOD][PORT][APP]Vanilla Locks & Gestures (Multi-Silder/Rotary) & Config. App - Sense

[MOD][PORT][APP]Vanilla Locks & Gestures (Multi-Silder/Rotary) & Config. App - Sense
Okay, the wait is finally over! As the title of the thread states, included below is a heavily modified framework for deodexed HTC Sense ROMs (3.70 base), that will give you the ability run any vanilla style lockscreen you desire, including options for standard tab/slider, multiple-sliders (4 tabs for unlock/mute/phone/messaging), or Rotary.
First, and foremost, thank you to the CM team for most of the starting source. I used their framework, and settings app as a starting point, and merged this with the original rotary source port I created for the Hero, which was based on the original Droid android 2.0 ROM.
This mod/port required heavy edits to multiple framework files, and the base/starting framework files I used were the Power Control Widgets, so flashing the mod linked below will also apply the notification menu widgets. There's really no choice in the matter, as otherwise, I would have to maintain two completely different sets of frameworks for this port/mod, which would create a mess.
So, just from the framework side of things, the mod includes the following files:
services.jar, android.policy.jar, framework.jar, and framework-res.apk*
*Note: services.jar was not affected by this mod, but since framework.jar and framework-res.apk include, as mentioned, the power control widgets as its base, I had to include it in the zip).
When you apply this mod, given that the framework files referenced above will be replaced, any customizations/themes you may have applied will be removed and need to be re-applied with my framework files included below as the starting point. What does this mean? You CANNOT apply a previous theme you were using, not based off of the framework files in this thread, after having applied this mod. It will break. If you are not comfortable with this, you will want to wait until your ROM dev incorporates this into a new "point" ROM release.
Since all of the above framework files are being replaced, after applying, your initial reboot will take a while, as your Dalvik cache will get rebuilt. Be patient and don't panic.
Also, since the power control widgets were used as the starting framework, the framework files include the following modifications out of the box:
Allow for transparent notification menu background (xeudoxus & fxn)
Remove USB Debugging icon (me)
Remove GPS off reticle icon, retain GPS on reticle (me)
USB Tether / Hotspot Fix (vaelek & aamikam)
Disable Menu Unlock on Lockscreens (me) (new to this mod/port)
In addition to the framework files referenced above, the flashable zip will also install the following 2 applications:
DeskClock.apk <--- You MUST use this clock to set your alarms, to avoid issues when disabling your alarm, when using Vanilla Style locks on Sense ROMs. You will find this application in your app drawer via the following icon:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
EDIT 1/29/11: To modify your clock widget, to take you to the above referenced Android clock, when setting your alarm, rather than the HTC clock, which you shouldn't use, see HERE if using the animated flip, and HERE for the stock non-animated flip.
LockScreenSettings.apk <--- This is the application I "created" to set your lockscreen style and options (shown below).
The "LockScreen Settings" application can be found in the app drawer via the following icon:
Following are screen captures of the options available to you via the LockScreen Settings application:
As shown above, the settings application allows you to do the following:
Select your lockscreen style (tab v. rotary)
Enable Music Controls
Set if music controls are always present vs. only when music is playing
For tab version, add sliders for Phone & Messaging
Assigning Messaging Application to Messaging Tab/Slider
Setup Lockscreen Gestures, Trail, Color, Etc.
Disable slider/rotary dial and use gestures only (screen void of any unlock icons).
It is important to note that for now, as this is a complete hack that I created for putting this application together, that a reboot is REQUIRED after making any changes for your settings to take affect. I hope to resolve in the future, but it will have to do for now. A Hot Reboot will also do the trick, rather than a full restart.
Now, when applying this mod/port/app, in addition to the above files being installed, the updater-script will also automatically remove your HtcLockScreen.apk file, if present, in order to make sure the vanilla locks are used instead, AND install the necessary lockscreen_gestures to your /data/misc/ folder. This file is REQUIRED for the gestures to be written/saved for your phone, without it, gestures will NOT work. Application of the gestures portion may appear to stall when flashing. Be patient, it will apply. If, for whatever reason, after applying, you are unable to save gestures, try manually creating the necessary gestures file, with instructions provided here.
Download Vanilla Lockscreens Framework & Applications <--- Flash via Recovery
EDIT 1/29/11: The above link has been updated to include a newly modified DeskClock.apk with a "fixed" gallery button, to take you to the HTC Gallery/Album, rather than the stock Android gallery, which is not likely on your phone, preventing the button from working (second from the left at the bottom of the clock screen). See HERE for a standalone flashable zip for the clock only, if you've already applied this mod. It also includes an updated LockScreenSettings apk file to remove the "vestigal" appearance of RenderFx from your widget selections, since they do not apply to this mod.
Screen Captures
Following are screen captures of the various lockscreen versions you can apply with the settings application:
Stock Sliding Tab Lock:
Sliding Tab Lock w/ 4 Sliders:
Rotary Lock:
Blank Lock (gestures only):
MetaMorph
For the rotary lockscreen, if you do NOT prefer the direction arrows (see below), apply the attached using MetaMorph to remove:

Wow. This looks awesome. I'm very tempted to try it out. Now, if there was a way to get this lockscreen style to also apply to answering calls, I'd definitely go for it. I have like OCD when it comes to sliding left/right to unlock the screen but up and down to answer/decline calls.
Very nice work though and I definitely like the music controls being added.

As mentioned in the OP, gestures require the presence of a read/write file in the /data/misc/ folder, named lockscreen_gestures.
The flashable zip should create this file for you automatically. Did you use the zip to apply? Do you see the file on your phone?
If not, you can adb in and create the file and change its mode, which should get the gestures working:
Code:
adb remount
adb shell
touch /data/misc/lockscreen_gestures
chmod 777 /data/misc/lockscreen_gestures
reboot

Back to the original question, did you apply by flashing the file linked in the OP?
Regardless, it appears to not be there, for some reason, so use the instructions above to manually create it.

General Info
I do not have a Droid Incredible to test this on, so I would appreciate it if someone could a.) alert me, preferably on twitter, when a new build is made, and b.) let me know if the theme I post here works.
This theme is extensive with over 2000 edited .png files and more than 35 .xml files.
There are no icons included with this theme. If you would like icons, then you can use ADW.Launcher or ADW EX download Minimalist - ADW Theme.
If you would like to donate to me for my work in this theme, then you can download the Donate version of the above mentioned theme. Search for "Minimalist Donate - ADW Theme" to find it.
If you would like to port this theme to any other device or use any part of it for your own doing, then you can download my images and edited .xml files from this post.
You do not have to ask me if you can port this or use any part of it. You do not have to credit me for any of my work in this theme.
I will not be checking this page frequently, but I will try to answer any questions posted here whenever I update the links. If you want a quicker answer, then I suggest saying something to me on Twitter (@david1171_).
This theme is for the official CM7 Nightly ROMs.
Theme Info
The widgets are transparent with white text. I recommend using a dark wallpaper.
The font included in the theme is the Ubuntu font.
If you are using Amon_RA's recovery and the theme is not applying after flashing, then you need to use clockwork recovery.

Install Instructions: PLEASE READ!!!
1. Set MetaMorph delay to around 1000 (My exact number is 1054) then press Close
2. Press Unzip/Extract new theme
3. Navigate to where you have Minimalist_Lockscreen_Icons.zip located
4. Select the file
5. Press close on the on the pop up that appears
6. Press Apply all!
7. It WILL force close com.android.phone when it applies the Phone.apk, I do not know of any way around this.
8. While the force close pop up is on the screen, another pop up menu will appear behind the force close pop up and the buttons will say either Continue? or Stop; you must quickly press Force close on the force close pop up, then press Continue? on the other pop up menu; it will then start applying the framework-res.apk
9. The device may freeze up at this point, if it does freeze up (mine did), then wait about 30 seconds, then pull the battery and boot your phone
10. Everything should be applied now
Animations by rover.prince - http://bit.ly/iejwtm
I take no credit whatsoever for these animations.
I have taken them from rover.prince's theme at the request of some users.
Here is the thread where I got the animations.
Apply this with MetaMorph.
awesome, will give this a go in a few days
You may want to consider changing the compatibility to #14, since #15's phone doesnt work.
On another note, this theme looks GREAT. I appreciate the hard work for us over here in the incredible forums =)
Updated to cm_inc_full-16.zip.
Using the minimalist theme....love it......it would be awesome if it came in a red or orange to compliment GB...or even all plain white rather than blue.....but all looks great....cheers!

I've had all white in the status bar since May last year when I first started on what has become this theme, so I needed something new. Also, since GB has the "fully" images that are normally green, I went with the blue to match everywhere else.
If you want to make the blue images white (would require least amount of work), then download the source from the OP, open it up, take out SystemUI from /system/app/ and framework-res from /system/framework/ and place them somewhere easy for you to work from. Then, go to SystemUI/res/drawable-hdpi/ open up all the white images that have blue counterparts, then use save as to save the white images as the blue ones as well. Next go to framework-res/res/drawable-hdpi/ and do the same there as with SystemUI. Next hook your phone up to your laptop/computer via usb and run the following commands:
Code:
adb pull /system/framework/framework-res.apk .
adb pull /system/app/SystemUI.apk .
(the . will place in your working directory, so if you don't want it to go there then type the desired location)
Open up SystemUI.apk with 7-zip (or similar program), go into the res folder, then go into the drawable-hdpi folder, drag and drop your newly saved images from SystemUI/res/drawable-hdpi into it, finally close the window (if it asks you if you want to update then click yes).
Open up framework-res.apk with 7-zip (or similar program), go into the res folder, then go into the drawable-hdpi folder, drag and drop your newly saved images from framework-res/res/drawable-hdpi into it, finally close the window (if it asks you if you want to update then click yes).
Finally you need to run the following set of commands
1. Reboot your phone to recovery.
2. Make a nandroid (I only say this to cover my arse, normally I wouldn't for myself).
3. Over adb do the following commands
Code:
adb remount
adb push framework-res.apk /system/framework/framework-res.apk
adb push SystemUI.apk /system/app/SystemUI.apk
adb shell reboot

There are a few reasons its hard to tell the difference...
The first being the bulk of that theme is my work. Sadly, whenever bgill55 is confronted he likes to gets rid of any evidence of its existence. (that was the second theme of mine he had taken without any credit, the first being the first theme for the Nexus One)
The earliest I was able to find a reference to Incognito was here
http://www.droidforums.net/forum/koush/76595-theme-black-minimalist-incognito-cm6-final.html - 09-01-2010.
Here is when I first put out the base for that theme http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=668559 around the end of April beginning of May.
Then there is this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=734046
where I put out the rest of that theme. Initially released 07-24-2010.
My themes aren't the only ones he's passed off as his own, I know BlackIce for the Nexus One (by Amac25).
The really annoying thing wasn't so much the lack of credit as it was his asking of donations for it.
More fun facts, look at the 7th screen shot in this thread http://www.droidforums.net/forum/bgill55/106516-screen-shots-linear.html and compare it to the dialer screen shot in either this thread or the thread for Minimal. Also, look at components of the search widget in the 5th screen shot and compare it to the 2nd screen shot in the Minimal thread. Then look at the who he credits with making that theme. Of course he and that other guy made every part of it that is themed.
Sorry for the rant of a post, but that is really about the only thing that has aggravated me with theme-ing, which is why there is a "special disclaimer" about not wanting to credit and a donation link.
Good to know I apologize for my lack of knowledge ...really appreciate all your hard work.

I haven't used Sense since it was a new thing on my G1, so no. Also, while a good chunk of it would port easily enough, I think would be quite a few things that would have to be redone or redesigned to work with Sense.

HOLY CRAP did this clear up so much.
ive heard so much here and on df.com about the ( let me rephrase that ), "borrowing of the idea" but never really new the complete scoop of it all.
Is there any chance that this theme would work with CM6.1? I have only installed a Few ROMs and only one theme, not sure if I am willing to make the jump to Nighties just yet but I like this theme a lot.
Is there a release of this theme for CM6.1 that I just cant find?
Any way to get this to work with the latest nightly - #20?
Flashing 17 bootloops - as figured.
Can't wait to try this when I get home and finally move from CM 6.1 stable to the CM 7 nightly builds.
Great job on the theme, keep it up!

[THEME][2.2] Runs on Cyanogen 6.1.1 & FreeX10 ~ Cyan Extreme v1.2 ~ Feb 10, 2011

This theme is created specifically for CyanogenMOD 6.1.1 and FreeX10 users!!!
This will run on every single 2.2 AOSP ROM posted here including standard Froyo 2.2.1 and Cyanogen 6.1.1!!
I do not take credit for any of the graphics used in this theme!!! It is a hybrid of Sempiternal's X FX10 theme and a user named RoLa's theme from CyanogenMOD forum. Big thanks to both of them for all the hard work they have put into creating both these themes!!! I also owe a big thank you to mmarjan for testing Nexus One Cyanogen themes on the X10 to find out they work for us!!
****NOTE****
I have gotten several requests from users asking to use certain aspects of this theme in their theme, so I thought I should be more specific with who created what aspect of this theme so anyone interested can get permission from the correct people.
Created by Sempiternal:
All system graphics not contained in an app (icons, desktop, notification bar, etc)
Created by RoLa:
all apps included with the download, including system apps (dialer, clock, etc) with the exception of Pandora app
Created by Lightyear:
Pandora custom app, and I married the two themes by copying system graphics files over from Sempiternal's theme to RoLa's theme.
For anyone who is interested in the CM tweaks file I'm currently using I have attached it at the bottom of this post. This will complete the theme, including battery percentage, etc, just like shown in my screenshots. Extract the rar file directly to your SD card's root folder. The filepath should look like this:
SD card>CMtheme>Cyan_Extreme.xml
Open android settings and navigate to CM settings>user interface>tweaks extras>select a theme....select cyan_extreme
Changelog:
v1.2
Edited power control icons (airplane mode, silent mode, power off, reset icons)
Fixed menu font color (no more ugly-ass green text!! lol)
Added new animations
v1.1
edited pulldown tab to have new "Cyan Extreme" theme logo instead of "X FX10"
added Cyanogen settings to installation for users running non-cyanogen Roms
fixed battery indicator to show 100 when full & unplugged

lol...me too!! I'm overwhelmed with all the CM themes popping up all of a sudden!! As soon as word spread that Nexus One CM themes work it seems the forum has exploded with posts of ported themes lol
I'm working on another one right now....hopefully I'll have it posted tonight or tomorrow
BTW, I've found that if you edit a theme created for CM it will also work with basic froyo roms, as well!! You just need to leave the froyo images in tact and add the CM images, as well....some images like the notification bar may have two of the same image with different filenames, but this will make it compatible with both roms. Just thought I should share that since you are also working on CM themes. It's always nice to have the same download no matter what rom you use, IMHO. It leads to less confusion by noobs in the long run.
I wrote that in a very confusing way, but if you crack open my theme you will see what I mean lol Some images are in there twice but have two different names...one image will work with froyo and the other will work with CM This may seem pointless as it takes up extra space in the NAND, but it improves compatibility.

You explained very nicely and what a great idea, i am no themer or Dev, i just like good themes, we are going to be spoilt for choice by the weekend, i will pass on your idea to sicNside.
I look foreward to your next venture, going to play with extreme for abit-thanks mate.
the dailer phonebook was really laggy for me on beta3 tho. since it kind of overlaps your home screen.
and the notification pulldown had a big white space in it where it says at&t.
and the lock screen had a grey area with a plus sign at the top, im assuming u can add something there but who knows how ?
also the menu buttom was so ugly. it showed up grey with bright green text ?
i removed it because of these problems .

This may be because you are not using cyanogen tweak settings.
I would appreciate it if you wouldn't mind giving it another shot after installing the settings.apk
Please try installing this settings.apk file. Try playing with the skin colors in the user interface menu. This should solve your problems
The IC menu is something I am working on. I haven't figured out which image needs changing to get that corrected properly. Text color is also part of that issue
works great, beautiful icons, but i cant see notifications, because the text color is black, tried to change the color but donst work
good job!
Updated to v1.1. Those of you running FreeX10 roms or any rom without cyanogen settings may wish to update since the new version contains the Cyanogen settings apk's.
For those already running cyanogen roms this is simply a minor fix with a few images/icons I overlooked on the initial release....I'm a perfectionist, so please bear with me lol
Some may find the new custom pandora app a nice addition...see here for screenshots:

Well maybe a have some kind of bug because I got CM tools and I tried to change the color and donst work, the funny thing is I change the color in other themes and the color of the notifications work perfectly, anyway thx for help

you can also change the color of the notification bar if the text color will not change for you
I'm trying this theme and I must say its very nice but a couple of things which could do with being changed imo...
When you press menu on the home screen it comes up as white with bright green text, the you tube is also green and black and the xml file wont download properly, I can only get a unfinished download but overall very nice job

I did not make the font green...I downloaded a Nexus One CM theme and edited it to get the one we have here. I have searched everywhere for a set of instructions on where to find the file to edit the system font, and I can't, for the life of me, figure it out lol
If anyone could please help me with this I would be VERY appreciative lol It's driving me nuts having green text in every single menu
Thanks for all the praise, guys!!
love it by far my favorite theme great great job

[Theme] Colorized for MOST Roms, Flashable (Updated 1/15)

Thanks to the dev team at VillainROM for their VillainTheme Flasher, this is now a flashable theme that "shouldn't" have to be updated as Rom makers update their Roms (Edit: But sometimes it will). So I present to you what may be the final change to this theme. Simply download the flashable zip file for your rom in this post below, and flash it. Simple as that. If you still want to use ZipThemer, a future update makes it so the battery indication doesn't work, or you don't like the "4G" icon and would rather have the "H" icon, then I have moved the ZipThemer files and how-to to the second post in this thread.
NOTE THE FLASHABLE FILES ARE STILL UNTESTED UNLESS OTHERWISE INDICATED, FLASHER BEWARE!
Things to know
1) This comes from my pickings of different Themes & .pngs I've found. I haven't created any of the artwork. As stated above, I've been doing this for my phone. If you find a better icon, post a link and if I like it better, I'll add it.
2) I am not responsible if this breaks your phone. Make a backup first.
3) If you use LauncherPro Notifications & Preferences under the main menu are still grey (See 4th pic below) because these are controlled by LauncherPro, and if I edit that .apk LauncherPro Plus doesn't work <_<
4) The eye background is not included, but is attached to this post.
5) I don't recommend trying to use Metamorph with this. So far I haven't got it to work fully for some reason, but it works perfectly well with ZipThemer. Plus this themes files that will cause a FC loop with Metamorph.
6) If you want to use the clear Lockscreen that is in the last photo you must go to CM settings and select the "Rotary" style, I did this on purpose b/c some people would rather use the "Rotary Revamped" style.

Change Log
10/18/11 CM7.1.0.1 added. All current ROMs updated for their latest release. Added new bootanimation. Lockscreen Rings are now transparent. Removed zipthemer files.
10/10/11 CM7.1 added. Link currently in post 172 until the hosting site comes back online.
8/9/11 Flashable zip files uploaded for various roms. Removed the fonts and market mod.
8/2/11 Started adding test zip files for battery % to display every increment. Do note, just because this displays every increment does NOT mean the battery readings are really that much more accurate as far as the battery is actually at 20% and the phone displays 45%; that's all in the kernel / battery drivers.
7/15/11 Updated BatteryMod and ColorizedTheme files, changed the charging indicators around for a smoother animation. Added new image for the screenshot function (not my favorite, yes I know it’s shifted, but it’ll work for now). Added new fonts, if you don’t like them then download the droidsans.zip below and push them to your phone. Removed the dark themed market so it doesn’t override the new market. Bootanimation copy still doesn’t work. Been working a lot on a steampunk theme, between that and school I haven’t been working on this much.
6/17/11 Added Metamorph capabilities. Recommend using ZipThemer.
6/10/11 Transparent lock arc thingy added...see the 7th pic for what I'm talking about. You have to select Rotary, not Rotary Revamped in the CM Lockscreen Style settings
Reserved for future use.
Not digging the keyboard layout! But i do love having color on my phone. I dont understand the point of having a nice screen if all the themes completely black or one color, I want all the colors! Thanks for these!!

No, sorry. I'm still learning such things. Here is a link to the lockscreen png files, someone has requested those before. They are a simple drag and drop into the framework-res.apk. If you want I can upload the dialer ones too sometime.
These look great, color is awesome =) Especially when you havnt seen it for a little while
I just want to get 1 thing straight: In order to use these, You have to dl the entire nightly? So if I am wanting to update to 49, and you havnt updated to that version yet with these changes, I wont want to update until you do?
Or are these easy .zip files to simply flash after an update?
*Side Note: The charge, connection bars and wifi icons, those from an app with changed images?

As of right now this is the entire nightly, I download it from the CM servers and edit then re-upload. I want to go to a update.zip were you download the nightly and then flash this on top of it, but b/t 13 hrs of school a day I just don't have time to figure it out right now. So you can download the nightly from the cm servers, but if you want to use this theme you'll just be downloading it again. Hopefully in the next few weeks I have it as an update.zip form. 49 will be up in about 3 1/2 hrs when I get out of class.
Sweet =) I should just clean the dalvik and cache, then install this from a zip? (just double checking)
And it is much appreciated, especially on a busy schedule
Can this be ran on top of those other themes for CM7 by sonny or is this more of a replacement? (im having issues compiling his right now, its all new to me)
Clear the dalvik and the cache as you would when you are flashing a nightly, if you do that is your preference. I do, some people don't. This is the full nightly, so if you run a theme on top of it, those will override. So I guess you could say this is a replacement.
Thank You sir =) Now there's a 50... Ahh the work never stops. But it is much appreciated. I wish for easy of use purposes, I could get sonny's to work every time, but it looks like it has to be de-compiled each nightly also. So their really is now win here, just me taking your hard work. (wich i love by the way) If your doing so many custom things to your phone, you have to have flavor, in wich i commend you.
Very sexy! I like it a lot for sure.
I cant get the bars (wavy reception bars) to stay for some reason, other than that, very nice.
Edit:
NM now they stay. And this actually got rid of an issue in the applications dock. Before if you pressed on 1 for a few seconds while scrolling, about 10 of em would come up with a blue backround, it was very weird. That has stopped now though. I was also using the honeycomb theme for ADWlauncher though.
Thanks. Yeah that's the problem with crack flashing, i don't have enough time to do it I usually only get a release themed in the middle of the week if it's has a decently sized change log or something big gets fixed/added. 50 just looks like some code clean up, same for 51 so far. So 52 will probably be the next one I do. That's the reason I eventually want to get this into metamorph form, then into a theme chooser apk.
For sure! Right now though it makes a world of difference on my phone, thank you so much And Yea, i fully understand about additions per changelog. Im gonna stick with 49 until its a decent changelog regardless as i always have to change a few things back myself. With this now its a for sure.
Planning on updating to a zip file that requires you to use ZipThemer from the market. Will probably go back to the displaying battery % every 5% for this. Starting to become a pain in the ass.
Thank you! I haven't flashed it yet, but from the looks of it, this is awesome! My favorite has to be the settings screen, I always hated the greyscale icons.
Alright everyone, 52 have been uploaded. Also I have added instructions how to use ZipThemer and theme your nightlies during the week. So either use ZipThemer or wait for me to upload a colorized nightly on the weekends, your choice. If anyone has any issues feel free to ask
Check this bootanimation out, its pretty cool, I like it =) Got it from EB 2.3.4
can we just flash this over a rom, any rom? ^^^^^^^
Yea, well the CM7 ROM's. If your comming from another ROM, the usual clean and wipe first. ITs the actual CM7 build with his additions.
