first off id like to let everyone know i hate my first post being a request for help. anyhow. i installed hardspl... made my bmp... downloaded spalshtool... but here comes the problem. for some un godly reason my window vista home premium will not execute nb_image_converter when i click on it i get a pop up that says windows has closed this program... i have probably one of the ugliest splash on my phone now... so what i request is either a way around my problem... or (the easier) a somewhat decent looking splash already in splash.nb form. thank you all in advance... i have used the search and also have probably read 100+ pages to try to work it out.

To change the splash screen I just replace the file \Windows\welcomehead.96.png with a new graphic. You can get splashscreens here: http://picasaweb.google.no/Tec.Tarnder/SplashScreens
Convert the .jpg to .png and then rename and copy.

You can click on my splash screens that I have already made in my signature, and if you like send me a 240 x 320 image and I can make you a custom splash screen.

OK I have made some splash screens for the Kaiser /TyTN II / Tilt. Thanks to tec1106 for providing the images to xda-developers and for gimini for showing me the images.
If anybody else wants a splash screen made just let me know.

yes ... the original poster was talking about splash screen ... ( I knew that ) ... but then "TheOccult" gave him the info on renaming file to "welcomehead.96.png" --->> Welcome screen ( 2 different things ).

All I could find was the rom. Ok what exactly did you put into the search box? Did you say any magic words? Did you pry to the gods of XDA?
I thought I was the only one who had bad luck with the search feature lol. I'd go into development and type in "Fresh 3.2" or "Virus" and would get nothing when the two threads for the Rom are sitting at the top.
Anyway I'll keep looking but if someone could post a link to the zip to flash it would be appreciated.
Found it, Magic words were "OTA Dodexed 2.3.some other numbers.29... and it's the 89th point down. So go to this thread and download it.... NEUBS

Hey guys, this is my first post here. Just flashed my evo with Warm Twopointtwo. Great rom. Now I am trying to make a custom splash screen, but I don't think I can use the rgb app from windows not too sure. If someone could take my image and make it flashable I would love you forever.

Hello everyone, I re-edited this post. I would like to know if there is a way to edit the framework.apk and go to the bools (I think) and refit some of the XML codes so we could have our old gingerbread lock animation, all help will be appreciated. Thank you.

best way to find out? try it! im not a fan of it, so im not even going to bother, but if you root, keep it and copy the files to system, it should work in theory...
but im pretty sure that you have to reboot for the settings to stick :/

And to the OP I don't know but like the above poster said try to copy the files you need to /SYSTEM and then use the FastReboot app, to trick your phone into believing that you have rebooted it and hoefully the changes will stick.

It should be in services.odex, I decompiled it using backsmali but I dont know what to edit. Any help?
I found that it should be in PowerManagerService.smali
there is an app in the market called something screen off and lock ..which has 2 different crt/tv off animations

Your post isn't 'off topic' -it belongs in Themes and Apps (as stated above). And, to answer your question, alteredlikeness has already made a nice guide to creating custom boot animations. Another one by you would be redundant...

Honestly that does not matter, and alteredlikeness did it first. You CAN make a post in his thread about what you did, or you can even PM him and have him add YOUR method in his post too, and give you credit for it, but creating a new thread about something that has already been covered, and also in the wrong section are huge no nos. I have reported this to the MODS, so that this will be locked and moved.
