You can put Windows Mobile OS on an Android device?
Although Android is a more fluid, Windows Mobile offers more options.
Also HTC Mini with WM 6.5 has a 320 x 480 resolution HVGA.
Both systems have a 600 MHz processor.

(plam meseging app 240 x 240 works great on 240 x 320)
Which phones out now run Windows Mobile and have dual processors? I saw one like 8 months ago, back in early 2008 that had dual PXA270 520mhz processors, which sounded pretty cool...any more development since then?

anyone?
The TI OMAP850 (Wizard) already has two cores in it, an ARM9 and an ARM7 core.

But here's the catch, you can't get at the second one. It is driving the GSM/GPRS part of the phone and can only be accessed from the main core running WM via the RIL (Radio interface Layer API). You cannot reach it or change the code it is running. The original XDA had two separate ARM chips, again one for PPC and one for the phone.
Hey guys,
I've seen Android running on some non-touchscreen devices like the HTC Excalibur (T-mobile Dash) and the BlackJack has very similar specs, so I was wondering if someone could port Android to the i607 using the same method as with the Excalibur, which is booting through HaRET I believe.

- I607 using Omap1710
- Android is wanglinux using minimun RAM is 128M but i607 have only 64M
But I think anybody will develop for I607

You are right about the processor, but Android is running on the HTC Excalibur which has 64MB RAM same as i607.
And Android also can run on Motorola A1200 which only has a 64mb RAM. So nothing is impossible.
I have a Motorola Q9h and these chances attract me the most.
anyone know if this has been done yet?
id loove to load android on my i607 backup phone
oh
what about Qualcomn
I have a device, it's using 528 MHz ARM 11 processor, Adreno 130 GPU, Qualcomm MSM7201A chipset and 256 MB RAM, 256 MB ROM
Omnia Pro B7320
hello there i just wanted to ask if anybody can handle with porting and booting ANDROID to Symbian based device if both devices has the same OMAP chipsets and features?
i'm asking that because there is a lot of samsung I8910 users (whole community) in the word that suffer from buggy+dead SYMBIAN on their devices. SYMBIAN that runs faster even on NOKIA 5800 (arm 11 434 mhz device) users that even donating $$$ for peoples (HyperX) that modding symbian OS and removing bugs.
so anybody can start a project of porting a ANDROID to the I8910, you already have the basic of MOTOROLA XT701 and XT720 that using same OMAP 3430 chipset but xt720 has the same features (8.1 mp camera HD recording ).
the main problem as i see is the screen resolution I8910 has 360X640 (1.777:1 ratio) pixels when OMAP 3430 devices has 480X854 pixels (1.779:1 ratio)
do you think project like that can be real??
somebody can help me or i'm in the wrong forum??
Apparently someone can get Android on Symbian

sorry but it's not "android" its just an android skin for SYMBIAN.
this is a copy of thread from "Questions" but people out there don't look like they really know what the talk is about so it goes like this:

i saw that some guy ported Android to N900 that has the same OMAP 3430 like I8910 so why not on I8910 too??
If i am wright Symbian is based on Linux? If yes it should be possible. If no this idea is to big i think
Why dont buy a Android phone? Good Android Phones dont cost so much ( f.e HTC Hero) u get it for 100$ i think!
