Hi,
I've just converted from p900 to my new exciting xda2i, so please for give me.
How do i send a picture via bluetooth, bluetooth is on but when i go to tools it only gives me an option of sending it by email or beam?
hope you can help
if u have bluetooth turned on, open up the file explorer that came on the phone, then locate the picture in there and tap and hold it, it will then come up with some oprion, one of them being "beam file" then tap that, at the totp it will say send via ir and below as it find them a list of bluetooth devicecs will show up
hope this helps
Some pocket PC devices like Blue Angle had the problem that the beam option did not return any BT devices to beam to. BT build 3900 should solve that. Otherwise Resco File Explorer is a good way to do it.
Guys, i have this problem. Anyone can help?
u just on the bluetooth service
then go to ur file ,press and hold,it will come up option.
go to the last one,it just have infrared.
n u just press the infrared ,it will come up bluetooth servies.
sorry ,my english not very well.
does not work for me
u have to do a connection with other bluetooth device first.
like other bluetooth devices allowed u to connect with.
............
1)ON the bluetooth
2)then go to ur file ,press and hold,it will come up option menu.
go to the last one.
3)Please makesure u ON the bluetooth.
after a few second ,it will auto detect other bluetooth device.
like pic below.
Thx for the reply, it does work. Hehehe.....
Hello,
I try several time to send files using BT on my Tornado (Qtek 8310)
And I never get the chance to do it right. (I try from Qtek to Qtek, Qtek to HP etc.......) without luck
I ask several person arround me over her in Belgium and same things. Can't send files via Bluetooth ?
what is wrong or is there any other tools to use ?
thank you
In which phase the operation was failed?
What software did you use to send the files?
the regular File Explorer included
I even try the Resco Explorer same thing
I can't get files from others ?
If you want to get files from other devices via Bluetooth, you should set your Tornado's Bluetooth mode to Discoverable.
Furthermore, in Settings -> Connections -> Beam, you should check "Receive incoming beams".
all this settings as been done. But again yesterday I try to send files to Qtek 9100 and could not be done
strange
first you need to apply registry fix first to enable bluetooth file transfer:
\HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Obex\IsEnabled, change from 0 to 1,
than send files from builtin file manager, not resco (resco support only widcom stack).
thanks but the OBEX was already set to 1 (enable)

For Bluesoleil PC software, You should use Bluetooth Object Push Service -> Send Object to send file to your Tornado.

Kinda stupid question... I've sent a file to my phone via Object Push and I don't know where it went to...
Any help please?
It seems that you cannot push big objects to your phone, because there will be no enough ROM space or some other issues. Under 1MB seems to be okay.
well, I was able to send them, but I have no idea where they are... BT soft on the PC transferred files with no problems...

Nope... not there.
And the search for the exact or not exact name of the sent file does not get any results... (searched by Total Commander...)
Any ideas?
Problem using Bluetooth to send Files to others !!!
Hello everyone!!!!
I am a newbie in this forum and I would like to learn from you guys in the future.
I own Dopod 577W which is also called i-mate sp5 or Qtek 8310.
I have the same problem. I am using bluetooth dongle with Bluesoleil PC software. There is no "File Transfer" option so I use the "Bluetooth Object Push Service".
Whenever I send a file from my desktop, it says" File sent successfully".
However I can't find the file in my phone.
Send/receive from other mobile phones has got no problems.
Example: I send a picture from other mobile phones, it will ask"Image received, save it to the phone?" When I send from desktop(using the bluetooth dongle",the phone does not ask that question. That's why I can't find the file in the phone I guess.

I've got the same problem - just switched from Widcomm to Bluesoleil on my PC cause A2DP didn't work, but now I have that problem...
With Widcomm it worked fine - all the files went to the "My Documents" folder...

Hello,
I have just plugged my usb bluetooth adaptor into my pc and paired my pro with my pc which is great but if I right click a file and press Send To > Bluetooth Device, I choose the touch pro and browse for the file I want to send and it says "cannot complete the bluetooth File Transfer Wizard".
Any ideas?
I ahve used it with other phones and it has been fine. How can I allow it to send files over?
Thanks
Regards,
Neil
you got recieve beam turned on? i know it seems a bit daft but i cant do it unless thats on doesnt make sence to me but hay ho.
Thankyou so much
I'm sure there is a simple answer to this, but I haven't been able to find it.
I am trying to transfer a ringtone via Bluetooth from my Krzr to my new Fuze, and I can't get it to work. The devices pair without any problem, but when I try to send the ringtone, I get a failed message. This is not a copy-protected ringtone - it's just a music file I created. Is there some trick to this? There are work-arounds (transfer the file to the computer and then to the Fuze), but it is annoying and seems like it should be easy to do.
Did you turn on the Beam function on the Fuze? It's in the Comm Manager.

I did. It didn't help.
Strangely, I can send files from the Fuze to the Krzr without a problem. But the Krzr can't send anything in reverse.
I haven't tried a phone to phone transfer yet, so not sure what else to advise. I know it works from computer to phone using bluetooth.
from my experience the bluetooth on this phone is absolutely terrible. itll connect just fine to my headset. but, i cannot for the life of me sync it up with my phone. bluetooth tethering is near impossible with all 3 of my bluetooth enabled laptops, as well as bluetooth activesync.
Go under Bluetooth settings under Comm Manager go to FTP Enable File Sharing and then go to security and turn off Authentication (Passkey) Required. You can keep Authentication on with another smart phone but when I wanted to send files from my LG non smart phone I had to turn it off.
I tried all the suggestions above, but with no luck. It's not the end of the world - the Bluetooth works with my headset, transferring files to/from the computer, and for tethering. It's more annoying than anything else, because there's no reason it shouldn't work.
