is there any app can show tube map in london ````
yes it is.....search for the map on tfl website!
its a pdf map and you can see it with a pdf viewer program...good luck.
i think you have adobe pdf reader on htc.
Visual IT do an all singing, all dancing interactive one, there are 2 versions £5.99 and £9.99
If you have the document tab, use this:
I just have a high-definition JPEG pic taken from Google Images saved to my storage card, and then I created a shortcut to it in Windows/Start Menu - et voila! A full screen scrollable map pops open in Album when I click it from my Quick Links.
(PS Can't stand PDFs! Hope they die! Although I may try it so I can use my Documents Tab for something)

Hi all.
Apologies to begin with - can't find the WMP mobile troubleshooting page MS alludes to on it's "welcome to win mobile" page.
Questions:
1. With WMP mobile 10.3, any tracks from a compilation album (i.e. different artists but same album name) cause the album to be listed loads of times, one per artist. Obviously I'd like the album listed only once. Any clues? Is this a bug? I import with winamp and the album names are identical, the tags are clean, the folder structure on my desktop hard drive is VA\Album for compilations, artist\album for normals.
2. If this isn't workaroundable, does anyone know if there's a manual for coreplayer? I have it & use it for videos but can't make head nor tail of it's library function - i think it might be corrupt, in fact. Or should I give up completely and use pocket player 4?
3. WMP mobile - will skins improve the size of the library items? It's tough to hit them on the move, give the small size. Seems ill-thought-out, given the amount of free space on the page. Classic Microsoft, I suppose.
Thanks all!
Dez
2. Found manual here, which helps. CorePlayer is massively unintuitive and both have been designed with no consideration that the users may be mobile, and don't want to have to use the stylus all the time.
No ideas for #1? Fixing this would save me having to use CorePlayer to play music, which would be a bonus since it's a pain to go through so many menus to do something so simple...
I'm looking into getting Quickoffice for my Gtab so I can be more "productive" at work.
Quickoffice HD is now out..but it's made for honeycomb tablets. If you try to buy it, it asks you to enter your device and currently only lists the Xoom.
Anyone have any luck getting Quickoffice HD on their Gtab?
Also, if anyone cares, Coupon Code for 30% off: hd30
QuickOffice 1.01 - Tablet is available in the apps and themes section in the Adam apps for gablet thread. I use it and it works great. Not sure but the icon has an "HD" on it.

The website says for Android 3.0 Honeycomb devices only. The 4.0.120 pro version works just fine on the Gtab.

I've purchased QuickOffice Pro and it works fine for me on my gTab. I use it a couple of times a week when away from the office.
Why do you feel like you have to get the "HD" version?

QuickOffice HD was developed specifically for tablets. I have never used it, nor the "Pro" version for phones so I can't comment on the specific differences.
The "Key" features of QuickOffice HD are as follows:
✔ Clipboard access (cut/copy/paste in app and between apps)
✔ Undo / redo most user actions
✔ Insert and resize images from gallery or camera in Word and PowerPoint files
✔ Text-to-speech document recital and voice input dictation
✔ Thumbnail preview scrolling for multi-page documents
✔ Improved toolbar and performance enhancements
✔ Paragraph alignment in documents
✔ Edit speaker notes in presentations
✔ Share files from via e-mail
✔ Support for advanced formulas and charts in Excel files
✔ Edit in page layout mode and thumbnail page navigation in documents
✔ Add, delete, and rename worksheets in Excel files
✔ Apply formulas to multiple cells by tapping and dragging
✔ Move & resize text boxes, images, and shapes

As far as I can tell by reading the list of features on their official website they have the same features. Except the HD version's description states that it was "developed for tablets".
Until someone can tell me why the HD version is a "must have" I'll stick with my Pro version for now.

The advantages if any do not matter as yet since it will only work with Honeycomb.
And then there's this...
Here's a tablet version of QuickOffice (not only for Honeycomb). Gojimi got this off of a Notion Ink tablet.
File Download Link.
Here's the thread where he has screenshots.

Hi,
I am a musician, and I usually read my chords / lyrics / tabs, through a computer or through page.
Recently I've been trying to get rid all the pages, so I moved them all to the computer (as a picture scan or as document)
I read them through Word reader or PDF Reader.
usually PDF because it has an "Auto scrolling" system that lets me hands-free read all the pages (usually there are 1-2)
So I've now got my new android device (HTC Desire HD), and noticed it also has PDF and Word reader (woohoo ! ), so I moved all my songs into it.
But unfortunately I can't use it hands-free because it doesn't have auto scroll and also the monitor shuts down after few seconds.
So do you know any application that could do this?,
that could read Word and PDF files, and can do auto scrolling, and keeps the Display on all the time?
Thank you very much,
Yarden.
any one? please.
I'm getting my Titan on Friday and I wanna know what apps you guys can't be without. I will not be unlocked so please only include apps which are "legit".

iHeartRadio (especially if you don't have a Zune Pass but have lots of data or WiFi)
RemoteDesktop (super-handy if you need to access a PC, though the trial version is limited to a few minutes at a time)
The SSH Client (if you ever remote into any UNIX/Linux/OS X boxes)
TouchDevelop (lets you create awesome scripts on the phone directly, or use ones made by other people)

btw. you write "legit"? I would think everything here on XDA is legitimate, even if it can only be sideloaded.
I just realised I could browse the Marketplace on Zune software on my computer so, thanks for all the posts here tho
I actually recommend using the website, not the Zune software, if you want to browse the Marketplace on your PC. It is indeed posible, though.

I mean that I cannot put apps outside of the marketplace on my phone so people shouldn't include them in their list. I will probably buy the developer unlock but the 10 apps limit really sets me off, it isn't worth it almost.
ShopSavvy (This is way easier to use then its Android equivalent)
Toggle (I prefer this to Network Dashboard, works better)
Minesweeper (yay for easy XBL points!)
last.fm
Rad Now (great for finding out the weather radar looks like WHERE YOU ARE).
Angry Birds (cause its more easy XBL points if your any good at it)
HTC Hub (probably comes pre-installed on the phone), since its easy to keep track of the current weather forecast.
HTC Flashlight (just nifty at times)
I recieved the phone just three hours ago and I know all about it already, I'm so in love

Hello I tried to search the forum and saw nothing on this topic and hoping that there is a solution. I highlighted some documents that I have in .pdf format on the computer using the Adobe reader software. When I try to open the saved .pdf on my xoom with aldiko it does not show any of the text on the highlighted pages just the color. On pages that have not been highlighted the text is visible. Is anyone else experiencing this problem?
I hope there is a solution because I will have to revert my documents back to when they were not highlighted just to view them on my xoom.
Thanks,
wbmustang
Other PDF viewers
I haven't used Aldiko for pdf files. But, I just tested out viewing a pdf that I had highlighted, and added notes to, on a computer. These apps all opened it fine on my Xoom:
Adobe reader
PDF To Go (I believe part of Documents to go)
RepliGo Reader
RepliGo is nice for adding annotations directly to a PDF on an Android device.
