Where is the Maps Icon .png? - Nexus One Themes and Apps

I have been going through the Maps.apk trying to find the icon that appears in the Launcher so that I can re-theme it with Manup's icon. Does anybody know where it is stored? I'll post it here when I get it done so others can use it.
I have tried replacing some of the images, but it doesn't change the icon, even after reboots.

Should be this one:
...\res\drawable-160dpi\ic_launcher_maps.png

Ah Ha! I don't know why, but I thought I changed that one. I found the one in the drawable-240dpi, I guess I must have overlooked the other one some how.

To anyone who has ported Espresso Rosie...

Ok, so I know all the files that need to be changed to get the Espresso Rosie except for one (or maybe two, I don't know) and that's the one that causes the shadow and the little track-bar-that-shows-which-screen-you're-on. I'm almost positive that this is contained in an .xml file within the Rosie.apk but I have no clue which one. So would anyone who's successfully ported over an Espresso Rosie clue me in please?
Thanks in advance.
Those files are in com.htc.resources.apk. If you're porting over to the newer 2.1, than ALL the Rosie files are there. The only thing thats part of Rosie.apk now are the + and arrows as well as the remove button.

Ya I know where all the .pngs are. I've changed all of them to Espresso however the round shadow that goes behind the Stock Rosie remains (and the screen indicator). Those are what I'm trying to find.

Clear Power Widget w/out metamorph? (AKA - just an apk)

Does anyone out there know if there exists an APK of the Power Control Widget, but clear? I tried doing it with some metamorph zips I found, but they didnt work at all.
The clear part of the widget is spread across different framework files. Well, actually just the one. So, you'd have a modified com.htc.resources.apk to deal with. Better off just doing it yourself.

just adb pull your com.htc.resources.apk and I can update it for you if you don't want to change it yourself, pretty easy.

I pulled the apk and have no issues doing it myself, if I could just find the png for the backgrounds and such on this particular widget. Anyone know?

I got this to work with metamorph, but I cant get it to work now. I think it has to do with metamorph upgrade.

It is called appwidget_bg.9 and it is located in /system/framework/com.htc.resources.apk
unzip the .apk file and locate the png in res/drawable-mdpi folder
Let me know if you have anymore questions.
While we're on the sunject, where do I change the color (and potentially shape) of the green bars below the widget. Like, the green indicators that show that you have one of the options set to on.
I can pull the .apk and do it myself, I just need to know where Thanks!

Remove undertext from apps-icons

Is there any tool that can remove the app-name from the icon, and only use the icon? (on your homescreen)

Nope, those apps cant remove the icon name. You can only use a space as a name but wont look good, will just be a black-spot..

there's nothing else. We at our russian PDA forum looked for such apps for a long time
old advance launcher form irenhaus has an option to hide the text on desktop and to hide icon on tray. Pretty sure anderweb one does it too now.

It can be done by a simple xml edit in Rosie. I tried it at one time, but never released. I will take a quick look in the Rosie apk and post back when I find the name of the xml.
EDIT: It's in the values and values-normal folders. The files that needs editing are colors.xml and styles.xml. The places that needs editing are selfexplanatory, but basicly it's just a matter of setting the alpha value to opaque (00) in the places needed.
@sipvn: ADW Launcher? I'm currently using it, no option in settings for that :/
@tristan202: Thanks, I never gone that far learning how do edit rosie/apk's/xml's.. Any guides? I failed searching
helixlauncher2 i think has a option that does this

[REQ] Inverse Notification Icon Color (Black Status Bar)

I was wondering if there is a way to reverse icon colors in the status bar. I just downloaded a black status bar and a lot of the icons blend into the black bar (if that makes sense).
If anyone can help me out, thanks. I don't know anything at all about coding and very little about the root process, so a Metamorph option would be the easiest way for me, although I can figure out theming.

I saw those. I wasn't quite sure if it changes the Messaging, Gmail, Voice and other icons since all I see is the USB and USB Tethering icons. Do you know if those are changed?
Haven´t checked that...best, open file and have a look before you morph.

Wow that is a great idea. I never thought of that haha (still brand new to this stuff). Well, unfortunately it doesn't have icons for Messaging, Gmail and a few others. Thanks for the idea though. Now I know I can check.
Any other ideas?
Anyone know of anything else to do?
Shameless bump because I really want this.
There is a desire morph around somewhere, locate the files or images you want and I can make a morph, just need to know what rom and icons.
Also bumping. Now that CM has theming, I think someone should have one out.
Use ninja morph and inverse the images u want in framework-res.apk ...really easy
Sent from my Nexus One using XDA App

I checked out ninja morph. You're right, it does exactly what you said...EXCEPT you have to modify every icon individually, which ends up being an enormous pain.
Also, I could have missed something but how do you inverse icons directly on the phone? I looked around and still couldnt find anything. Ended up transfering them to the pc and editing them from there.
In the end, I'm just amazed that android doesn't have a unified icon / theming system yet. To edit messages, you have to go in to mms.apk (took me forever to figure that one out), to edit gmail you have to look in gmail.apk, system icons were in framework, etc. What a pain.

Finding out the Android App processes???

Hey, I'm trying to change some icons on a theme and I need to know the android processes name for apps downloaded from the market and what not.
Where can I find that or see that??
For example, the icon name for maps is: com.google.android.apps.maps.png
I just take another icon and rename it that and bingo I have a new icon.
I was wondering if you guys could tell me where I can see the processes for all the apps I have???
I would really appreciate it!
Theming-wise I'm not sure, but maybe this will help?

Hmm, I didn't really find what I'm looking for there.
I'm not doing anything with theming really. I just want to change and add some different icons for a few apps.
I just need to know a way to find out the process name of the .png images!
*EDIT*
I got it all figured out.
