What exactly do you need, i am using http://www.smartrunner.de/pages/Default.aspx for my tours to track them via gps, check the route on google earth later, check the avr. speed, ....
its totaly freeware, sure it looks like a sports appp but can be used for every kind of tracking

The app for the iPhone i mentioned in my start post goes beyond track logging.
You can store your complete setup for the bike (settings for dampers, springs, tyre pressure, transmission ratio... etc).
This isn't included in the apps you posted.
Would be great if a programmer could make an application similar to the iPhone app.

Do u know any navi app for Japan?
I just use Google Navigation and it's worked perfectly every time I've used it so far. The only feature I'd like that it doesn't have is saving a list of favorite places and being able to manually name them.

You could star some locations. Star = favorite in all Google's services. But I don't see possibility to name them.
Or you could create contacts with addresses - then you will be able to name them. But yeah, this is quite ugly.
A UK Magazine did a review of Nav software recently and said Google Navigation was the best and got you there in the quickest amount of time. Downside was that it requires 3G to work (Not a big deal today really is it?)

I'm using Navigon with the Europe map, mainly for when I cross the borders and roaming is out of the question.
Otherwise, I like Google Navigation.
Google navigation isn't available for Norway yet, so can't use it. Gave Navigon a try, since they have a trial, seems to be rather nice, though only possible to get English voice it seems, would rather have it in Norwegian.

Yeah if you could name your starred locations it would be perfect. Now you just have a huge list of addresses and you don't remember what's what.
It does if you're travelling to overseas, the romaing data charges are still killing people...
Perhaps Mobile Atlas Creator + RMaps / BigPlanet Tracks would be a practical solution.
It allows you to produce an offline map database and load into the SD card.
I'm using navigon which works very well on my x10. The best one in my opinion, and I've tried a few. Sort of similar to igo in wm6.

Well Just installed it and its not what it used to be.
It used to have the function to check flights by flight number this seems to be gone. You could also pick a departure and arrival airports and dates and it would show you all the different flights you could take, again gone.
The weather forcast is nice but could do with a widget.
I just can not find it in the Market even trying to scan the barcode. No use! Is there any other way to get it?

When I tried to search for a hotel in Amsterdam it show me only one hotel whatever my search criteria was. Strange!!!

In my opinion it would be very hard to perfect something like this.
And they may have put more information on one country and just left little for another.
Which is quite careless if they have done that.
I may try and test it later if I can find the .apk file format and install on my phone.

Try the apk from page 1. It must be for 1.6 since the day that it showed up, 2.1 update wasn't distributed.

Agreed. This Worldmate version is a pale shadow of the previous versions. I uninstalled it.
google maps 4.6 is available, some great new features.

Anyone figured out yet how to change the distance units in Places? Everything else is in metric, but I get the damn distances Places in ****ing miles.

And for me everything (latitude, places...) is in miles
Indeed, latitude is in miles as well.
...and google still has yet to update the android maps API. The google map-kit for iPhone is still light years ahead of the android.
It's impossible to write a decent map app that performs anywhere near as well as google maps.
I would like to see my own layers. Pics of my kids doing stuff at parks, skateboarding, etc. That would be pretty cool. Point at the ocean and see my kid do an off the top on a wave from last spring. Hah.

You can do that now. You just can't get information about individual map tiles, even something as simple as onMapFinishedLoading() doesn't exist. That means your layers will (often) load before the map is loaded, which looks like crap.

Curious. Does it pull xif data from Picasa for the image overlay? You would think that would be pretty easy to pull off. I mean I would subscribe to other folks layers to see what they do, where they go,etc. So, if I follow a skateboarder and he shares his layer I can see what trick he did at places I also skate. Video embed would be even more awesome.

The fonts are non italics only. Are you talking about titles in the settings? The title of settings cannot be changed. But other titles like post title can be changed, and default is roboto medium.

Yeah the titles in settings look really odd being in italics and it would be much better to have the default system font instead without any italics (much easier to read)

That is not in italics but different font, to provide less emphasis on the title, and to provide less formal touch. I will try out other fonts to see if they fit well.

It doesn't cause heating. You are the first to report about it. But, since you say, your existing app also heats the device, the issue may be with your phone.
Anyway, are you using TTS or comment streaming in the app?

I really like the AMA reader, it's very out of the box. I rarely used to read old AMAs, but looks like that is about to change with this app as magazine style reading is really nice.
One very trivial question though, how do I subscribe to subreddits, I couldn't find the button anywhere. I am sure it's there somewhere which I missed.

Swipe from right to open the drawer, and click plus sign next to the name of the sub, to subscribe.
Installed it but will try a few days to see how it compares with the official app.
