WTF why is it that when i try and download anything just now from this site it's saving as a .php file it driving me mad i can't download any .cab files or anything, its only this site that is having problems?

Did you download it with your XDA?
I noticed that when I try to download stuff from this site with my Jamin, the PIE forces 'php' as the file extension. Since 'File explorer' on the device doesn't let you change file extensions, the only solution that doesn't involve a PC is to get something like RESCO explorer, or Total commander.
Once you get the original file name back (like *.tsk or *.cab), you just have to click on it.

I tried to help a guy out with his HD2 and the browser won't let me download a .zip or a .cab. It says these files are not compatible with this device.
Is there any way around this?
This is my third Android phone, but the first with this problem. Zip files only download like 64kb,and not the whole zip.When I download a metamorph theme for example on my phone it will say the theme is invalid. But if I download that same file om my comp and copy to my sd card, itll work......my captivate wont download the full zip. Please help

I read somewhere that certain file types like zip and rar isn't associated with any program and the download will fail. Download Crutch Lite app allows you to download the file by allowing you to associate it to a program. Not sure though.

Tried it and still doesnt work......
I've downloaded small ROMs that are zip files and they work fine. I've tried large zip files and they don't work.

i have the adownloader bittorrent app on my iinfuse, after i use it to download a torrent, in this case a hidden object game from extratorrent. i go to the download folder and click the downloaded file and i get this message, no applications can perform this action. anybody else seen this and is there a way around it.

long click/press on the file and click details...what kind of file does it say?

exe then it's probably a PC file, or a self extracting file that needs to be undone on a PC then moved to your phone.. or some kind of malware that isn't what you thought it was.
nope, torrents will always be .torrent not .exe file
if u open a .exe on a pc your just looking for trouble. :crying:A torrent is about a target file,
it contains no info about the content of the file. Use trusted popular trusted torrent sites.

Hi, I'm downloading from Depositfiles a .xap with 200mb from my windows phone and the download is always stopping someone know if there is a download manager to download files from where the download stopped and accept to put the download address?
