[Morph Theme] Black Formels Status Bar for ALL actual ROMs + preFroYo

You know my Desire Status Bar? I don't like the green battery anymore. I like other colours.
So I'll share my theme for you. I hope, you like it.

Installation and Downloads
At first I have to say something new!
The new Metamorph seems to be a bit unstable by applying themes with coloured text in the statusbars. Some of you have reported problems while applying it. So I have decided to make the theme applying in a few little steps.
This is a Metamorph Theme. You have to install Metamorph (or better: Metamorph Pro) from the market. Copy the following files to your SD Card in the folder "AndroidThemes"
If you have problems
Check following
1. Have you downloaded the correct files for your ROM?
2. Have you debugging enabled in the Android Menu?
3. Install "Titanium Backup" start it and hit the "Problems?" Button, then it installs a correct busybox version. This is required!!!
4. In Metamorph, press Menu, and play with the applying speed. Choose a speed above 4200!
5. Never check the "Disable startup checks" in Metamorphs settings
5.2. If the notification text isn't white, reapply the second zip file. Metamorph is a bit buggy with it. I must apply it four times, but it still works
6. Never, never, never rename the zipfile. If you do this, you become error messages like "Theme Control File Missing"

Step 2:
CMUI file for Cyanogen ROM Copy this to the root of your SD Card, delete the ".desire" extension. Go to Cyanogen Settings and Load this file
Text Colour File for Enomther ROM2.11. Install via Metamorph.
Text Colour File for Enomther Rom2.21preAlpha+Copy this to the root of your SD Card, delete the ".desire" extension. Go to Spare Parts and Load this file

Could you please explain, what you mean? It only changes some png. On my nexus I can´t see any issues.

I like and am using this morph, but am not a big fan of the wifi bars color. Any chance you can make it cyan like CM's clock and power widget??
Also, it might look better if the "E" or "H" or "3G" were a different color than their upload and download arrows. More Cyan is always good. I think there is too much of the same color between the "E/H/3G", the signal strength and the battery level. It might be better if they were not all the same color.

The Gmail version works fine on CM 5.02. I might be just imagining it but it seems like the Gmail icon is bigger than it is supposed to be.

The gmail icon is the same size as the original stock icon. It may just look a bit bigger due to having crisper lines. I didn't include any shading.

? Too big? Really? It's 38 x 38 as it could be in Statusbar.

I have it now on Modaco (only the gmail icon) and it's quite pretty I think. It's another like the well known from enoms.

[Morph] Smooth Blue Bar [Enom-Official 1.6.1][CM 5.0.3.1]

Here is a morph I made from scratch.
Credit to Breakthecycle2 for inspiration of using dark blue highlights.
Includes:
Dark Blue highlights
Blue outlines on PCW
Blue outlines on GenieWidget
Blue status bar
Custom blue search bar
Dark blue Music widget
Dark blue Facebook widget
You may or may not come across status bar notifications that don't look right when they pop up. I tried to get all of them that I could think of. If you do notice some that still show up in a black box, leave me a comment or PM me and I will try to get it fixed asap. Please note: if it is an icon from a market app, there is nothing I can do about it.

CM link fixed. Sorry about that. FTP is very anal about case sensitivity and I forgot the .zip extension.

I can look into the youtube app, but pandora is a market app and therefore cannot be themed.

Does this work with the latest Cyanogen by any chance?

It hasn't been updated in a couple of versions since not many were using it. I would have to look into an update since I don't know if the facebook portions are up to date. I would also have to add the newest services.jar. I will get around to it.

if im completely honest, i dont think you did the original concept justice. i think the changes you made dont really 'fit' the theme and think you should have kept it to exactly how it looked in the concept but that's just me. great work on putting it together though, i know quite a few people have been waiting for it.

thats fine - we dont mind if you or others now modify it back into the original theme or improve our theme. Sometimes, in order to improve somthing, one needs to create something.
We (he_stheone and I) have seen too many concepts die since nobody gave it an intial shot or a mega-project fail since it was all "too much work" - and creating and porting a theme is a massive undertaking, once thats done, the rest is tweaking - which we are happy to see you guys do based on our "interpretation" if you like.

always, just go to the framework-res and modify the batt_stat pngs. we are in the process of making them more elegant for the theme already, but that could take a couple of days.

I think that r0ark did nice additions to the original ElegantSteel concept.
Could you ask him to share his statusbar icons and his mods and add them to this theme.
That would make this theme complete and I would root my nexus one just to apply a theme for the first time.

the theme is nice but what i was really waiting for was the modding of the dialer and contacts apk. why didnt you implement it? cause i know you guys had worked on it and there are even screenshots of the dialer with the semi transparent background. just hope it comes as an update to this theme. thanks again!

The dialer (contacts) IS heavily modded with the transparency hack, but if you look into Jedispotty screenshots http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=699497, you will see that the background is not transparent. But in order to change the background from plain black to the structured one, we had to implement that hack (by xml and style change in the resources.arsc).
So changing this to your needs is now very easy, since now you only need to change the btn_dial_textfield_pressed.9.png in contacts res/drawable/hdpi-finger - you can use a different backgound or set a different transparency level for that png. So basically we tricked the contacts, to use that png as a custom background
I just give you an example, what you can do with only changing this single png (screens come from my X10 and Sense Theme)

Try these icons - I adjusted the colour of all pendo icons (c, not b - since c was already indexed) to fit to the theme. It`s not in the main theme yet, since I`m basically consulting here from the outside (Milestone user), but it defintely works.

Been waiting for this. But could it be possible to release a version of the theme without the custom font? Nothing against the font, it's just hard to read when you're going through e-books or long articles on the browser.

Pressed Color
What is the color that is used when something is pressed such as an item in a list?
Also, I have CM6 RC3 but I have used metamorphs already. Do I need to re-install CM6RC3 (w/o a wipe) before I can install this?

Theme is still WIP - here you find a themed ADW Launcher. Since it is signed you can either install it just like a regular apk or push it asl Launcher.apk in system/app with permissions 644 or put it as Launcher.apk in the theme app folder and run the installation process again.
Thyrus will put it later in the main theme.

[THEME/ROM] (V0.2) - No not my gumdrop buttons for 6.1.1! UPDATED 12-16-10

Here is Gingerbread. I will be updating this as time goes on! Credit to Cyanogen for CM6.1.1 and jblazea50 for the original port. In no way do I take credit for anything ROM wise. This ROM is totally Cyanogen besides graphic wise. I am making a new thread so I can update the OP.
NOTE: This isn't just a theme but a themed rom. This is CM6.1.1 Final with the theme in it.
NOTE: I am not responsible for any broken/bricked/jizzed on phones...
Installation instructions:
Download both files and place on root of your sdcard.
Reboot into recovery.
Full wipe RECOMMENDED (although some have done it without).
Flash themed rom.
Flash themed gapps.
Reboot.
DO NOT PLAY WITH NOTIFICATION BAR COLORS OR XML! Only change clock colors and notification colors or it will screw the notification bar up!

I tried that but they still showed up green. I was sure they were white too, i think something was up with my phone lol Ill try on pc later. Thanks for this update, cant wait to flash soon but the wifey wont stop texting me lol

Is there anyway I can possibly port this to a Sense ROM? I have an AOSP theme for sense that I could possibly swap icons, and stuff from notification bar, but I've tried that somewhat already and keep boot looping...

Do you know if the 3g icons are also in the framework? I found all other icons but no go on the 3g icons. Weird though since I see the green 3g icons in my current roms framework.

You can change everything but custom notification bar or pull down. Notifications are A OKAY to change!

Got some updates on Funkenblack and got the kinks out of 6-bar. Not much more planned besides finishing funkenred until SR 4 comes out. So far we have the Status bar, launcher, dial pad, lockscreen and various other elements themed to our liking.

Instructions
Install like any other update zip through either Clockworkmod or Rom Manager. Scripts should all be Edify so its CWM 3 compatible. It does write over your com.htc.resources, framework-res, and your services.jar so any previous changes/themes will be overwritten.
We've also included just the 6-bar mod without the rest of the theme, with an update zip for both a white status bar, as well as a black(dark) status bar. These should work with just about any other ROM/Customisation for Athena. Download and flash accordingly. Also funkenblack already has the working 6-bar included so there's no need to get either of these with the theme.
Note any changes to the services.jar grants a long boot/reboot so be ready to wait a little bit.
I believe we've worked out all the bugs but if you find any let us know and we'll fix it as quick as possible.

Just figured out where I was going wrong with the expanded statusbar! Expect an update next weekend. I'll finally be able to get rid of that terrible green background.

This mod uses Android default PNG's.
6 bar black statusbar is more for developers. It's just services.jar with 6 bar and white clock. I don't think there are currently any other themes with a black statusbar for Athena.

I've already Noticed a few things in the screenshot I'd like to change including The aforementioned 6-bar. But its late so expect an update tomorrow. Also Within the next few days I'll be working on themeing the rest of the the framework, besides just the Status bar.
I'd be willing to except requests too.

Very nice guys. I've switched to cm7 for the time being after getting bootloops with warm and Magnolia and while waiting for lou to update things. But this could bring me back to the ihtfp fold.
Any chance you could release something without all the green? If not I may give it a shot.

Like incredibly re-engineered's theme?

Well, and this is purely personal preference, I'm not a huge fan of green. Re-Engineered's theme would be a great port if you could do it. Otherwise I can give it a go, i've just never had luck successfully decompiling/editing xmls/recompiling. Just png changes.

Great work guys. Ill be giving it a go this weekend.
I echo the reengineered port comments as well -- that said, im grateful for the work you have done.

Thanks Pete. There will be a minor update this weekend. I still don't know what to do about the drop down statusbar text color. It will be a major project to change the color. So for now I'm trying to decide what background will look best. Gonna start themeing launcher and menu this weekend aswell.

Yea eventually. I still have a few more things I want to finish on this theme. But down the road I'd like to release a red and honeycomb theme for both skyraider and Athena. School is taking up too much of my liesure time this semester tho, so it may be awhile. I seen a cool dropdown mod that I have to try implement into this theme.

I've started work on a red version. No promises on when I'll finish it but it shouldn't be to long. I'll put a link up when i think its at least usable. anyway hopefully you guys will enjoy it. After that I'll look into a honeycomb theme.

Where can I find that wallpaper in the screenshots?
Also, my status bar was solid black, now after a couple days it is fading back and forth from black to green. I actually love it, just wondering if that is new, or if it is trying to tell me something. LOL, can this theme auto update???

I cant remember where i found the wallpaper but I was planning on making it part of the theme but until then I'll try get a link up. As for the status bar fading to green, I believe thats just part of athena and appears at certain times like during a phone call.

Just got a red version finished there should be a link in the second post in the morning. Its not a completely finished product but looks pretty good i think. anyway goodluck and let me know if you find any flaws that should be fixed besides the ones mentioned in the second post.

Well I flashed it, the pulldown is red, but the other icons are all green sound, signal, wifi. Also the unlock tabs are still green
