question FASTEST ROM

im looking for the fastest rom to put on my wing i been searching and looking at all the roms but i cant choose and i been reading that there is a windows 6.1 manila rom or something like that but i cant find the download for it anyone willing to help :]

Well the best ROMs I think are Just2Clean and Open Touch 6.5 lite no spb.
I use the Open Touch one cause it is real fast and comes with good programs that I use a lot of and I've been using it for a long time. Those Manilla ROMs suck and are slow even while being overclocked and the TF2D eats RAM especially if you also have S2U2 in the background.

That's based on one of my older ROMs. Just2Clean.
They modified it by adding a few bits of software. ^_^
I happened to run into that video yesterday and a post in a different forum describing it. It was lucky that I found it before you asked.
I'm also working on a more current ROM, JustStable.
I also made a JustMe after Just2Clean.

Just try one. JustStable hasn't been released yet, but it's the newest. If you want the ultimate in RAM and storage space, try JustMe. I have NEVER run out of memory while using it. And you also get 70mb of FREE storage space.
I haven't finished JustStable, but there will also be a stripped version.
Any ROM you get from these forums will be 100x better than the tmobile one. The only thing required is that you read up on:
HardSPL for Herald/wing
How to flash through an SD card for Herald/wing
And what a ROM is.

OMG i love the look of that rom, when you say based on does it look the same i just have to install my own sw cabs or is there more to it, is it solid colors or the koooaid theme? im looking for it now hopefully there are screenshots left

No, it doesn't look like that. He themed it differently. The core itself is my ROM. The speed is my ROM.

ok so i understand, your roms are stripped clean so that there is room to add what i want? htc home screen, themes and sw is that right i can be a little slow lol

That's right. My ROMs tend to be stripped to the core.

Hey, i'd love to get that one too. Please feed the needy.. I installed some crappy ROM named Yang something and after installing a the touchflo 2D and a couple of other cabs, i did a hard reset and it keeps restarting. Don't know what to do. Please help..

Take out your sd-card when rebooting (helped for me)

I don't overclock my phone. No need to in my ROMs. JustMe is a little more complicated. It's not really meant for newer users. It allows you to create a custom ROM. If you just want a ROM, try JustStable, it's not finished, yet, but it's "release" quality right now.
Search for the "how to flash" guide.
JustMe requires that you CREATE a custom version of my ROM.

Flashing it a bit just going to open up the rom and check the user file and some other things of interest.

The challenge is on
Revolution 2.2 was one the most stable and fastest hero roms I've used. Let's see if this one can beat it.Good to see you back Alex.

As most roms are 1.6 or 2 (don't use personally. Need camera) seems strange to me to flash an older firmware.

Was wondering how long you would go dark, does this need swap or can it work with just compache?

This has a working camera....This is donut cupcake hero not eclair....So camera is running only eclair doesnt have it working.

Hero doesn't come in a 1.6 version.
And since HTC STILL hasn't released the drivers for 2.+ that are compatable with the G1 it seems logical to use 1.5

They most likely wont, but tmo is releasing 2.0 for g1 so drivers will be avail before February assuming devs will continue to support G1...Eugene has a droid,manup a mytouch, maxisma a liquid..Some devs are upgrading their phones which was my point, if they stay with G1 that would be nice. But we'll still have cyan for custom roms.

I think its the same rom but the ports are different, I did it with the tool mensioned above (I think this port is faster)

one thing i noticed different is that when I try to use wireless tethering with blue tooth, this port works while the other reboots the phone.
also minor differences such as bootscreen logo
this is a brilliant rom with no issues for me so far. thanks for the effort.

Have tried to use the Magic Port (tool used by youssef to port this ROM) myself and tested Super D for 3 days and found no issues. The resulting port is really like made for this ROM. Simply great! Sometimes I can't understand why people's asking for donation for a port that can be easily made by a great tool like Magic Port.

however the difference is that (I think) this tool will use a older cyanogen kernel, so it's without multi-touch for gallery and browser.
I've actually port super D 1.8 with brook's latest cyanogen kernel 4.2.14.1 (yes, with multi-touch )

That's an actual port file. To be installed like any other update.zip. Haven't tried it yet though. But thanks a lot for this truemagic!

thanks guys! worked a charm! im trying to figure out a way to put danger spl onto my phone too.
ive seen the thread which goes into it for 32A phones in awesome detail, but i can never get the command line prompts to work! i have a mac and have been typing everything in correctly.
is there any speed difference between this port and having danger spl?

sorry for the naming, but it's a 32A port for SD 1.8 and you may install it ontop of SD 1.8 from Dream forum just like an update.zip.

Well ahmgsk is workin on a port for the SD 1.8, said to be the fastest ever (but what do you know)

I gave this a try but seemed very slow on my phone. Much slower than the openeclair + 32a patch combination. I'm using fat32/ext3/swap.

well theres your problem - your comparing it to donut
this is eclair not donut - all my donut roms are generally faster than CM
kingklicks aosp is kinda slow at first yes - not something I would do more than test

yea maybe that could be a result of the swap/ext3
I dont use apps2sd or swap on 32a.... slows it down to like a 32b

Hey I'm now using your port of Clays CSDI Re3mix 32a, without apps2sd, there will be short of storage space after i install less than 20 apps, is that normal?

no i have 60 installed and 120 mb free still
using 2010 spl?
i have 295mb of storage space for apps
the new radio cuts that to around 165 or so but still more than enough for all my apps

Flashed this ROM. Looks good so far, stable and such

Any other positive feedback?

To be honest, you can't do much. It's 2.1 and until the official stuff is released, doing whatever you can wont make a significant/noticable difference
And I have no idea how to partition the sd card. Maybe in the recovery where it says "PARTITION SD" might help, IT JUST MIGHT HELP! What a stupid question. At least if you fail to have any common sense at all, at least read the other 283713290 threads that tell you how

you're kidding right? There are countless threads concerning this.
The best part is...Gtabcomb has 2 versions, one for 1.1 and one for 1.2. So, you on't actually need ot go to 1.2 to try honeycomb.

Just stick with the 1.1 BL, and use this HC rom (GTabcomb), it's one of the better HC's anyway!

Simply flash with CWM, and if you don't like, you can easily flash back to CM7.

i was up last night trying to find an way to 1.2 but nothing to clear and i see that 1.2 has alittle more support then the 1.1 . this morning i found gtabcomb and loaded it . works great but after alittle use of it, starts to slow down. i use CWM to flash it . think i have to go back to cm7. just had that it looks like my phone ...
