[Taskbar] dafunk Brian's BW [WM 6.5 - WM 6.5.X] - HD2 Windows Mobile 6.5 Themes and Apps

This taskbar is my mod from original Bilbobrian's (Brian's) one.
I opened this thread in this section because some people told me to do it because it was a little hard to find, but the taskbar style is the same than the one posted in Blackstone section.
I made from scratch these last 2 versions (WM 6.5 and WM 6.5.X) because the "old" one was a little "dusty" and there were big issues especially in WM 6.5 version, because in the hurry to post it, I cabbed the same *.dlls of WM 6.5.X version , and the funny thing is that I noticed it only 2 weeks ago
Of course this is the main reason of all these problems.
This time I followed the steps of DarkNinja and I thought to make it "modular", so that there will be more chances to get it working.
Thanks to DarkNinja and his staff.
The taskbar is fully compatible CDMA and GSM.
I don't own a Leo, so I couldn't test it directly, but I have positive feedbacks from many devices: Blackstone, Leo, TP, TP2 and others.

The image above is from the Blackstone thread, but apart some little modification to some icons, there is nothing really new, except the new custom wait cursor.
Here is the animation...hope you like it
I will refine this opening post in the next days, just a matter of time, so at the moment I can only post 1 version of WM 6.5. This version has the white windows flag start icon skinned. The other versions with different start icons will be added when ready. I will also post the no_start patch.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
TO ALL OF YOU THAT WANT ONLY THE CUSTOM WAIT CURSOR:
No guys, there is no way to make a cab for only the custom wait cursor.
This is because the custom wait cursor graphics are into the file shellres.192.dll. Into this file reside also many of the taskbar icons and other miscellaneous graphics. If I make a cab with only the file shellres.192.dll and you install it, you will have my wait cursor, but you will have many of my taskbar icons as well. It's good if you use my taskbar (but if you use my taskbar you already have my cursor ), but if you use another taskbar....you can easily understand what can happen.
So this is why there's no way to make a cab that installs only the cursor.
I'm thinking about to make some colors variations of the cursor, but I think that I will make them for cookers (and who knows how to edit dlls) and I will post the 32bit bitmaps in the Windows Mobile Themes section.
I'm sorry.....but I'm explaining why this is impossible
Anyway, many thanks for the great interest for my custom wait cursor
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
HOW TO INSTALL THE TASKBAR
1) - The taskbar has the certification inside, anyway the safest way to start the installation is to install sdkcert.cab first.
2)- Install the version matching with your OS. If you have the start button in the top left you are on WM 6.5. If you have the start button in the bottom left you are on WM 6.5.X.
3) -If you install the WM 6.5.X version, your volume icons will not be skinned.
You have to download the file dafunk HTCVolumeControl.dll Fixes.zip where inside you will find 4 different versions of HTCVolumeControl.dll:
dafunk HTCVolumeControl.dll 1920.1327.cab
dafunk HTCVolumeControl.dll 1920.3625.cab
dafunk HTCVolumeControl.dll 1921.3629.cab
dafunk HTCVolumeControl.dll 2011.3221.cab
You have to find which works good for you....you can still unistall it and install another fix if the one installed is not good.
4) - If you install the WM 6.5 version your volume icons will be skinned, but if you are experiencing strange issues with volume or similar, try to install the volume fixes how explained above.
5) - Perform a soft reset.
---- If in the place of the volume icons you have a black square, try to install: dafunk BlackBox Volume Fix.cab. ----
PLEASE KEEP IN MIND THAT THIS POST WILL BE COMPLETED IN THE NEXT DAYS,
SO PLEASE BE PATIENT IF FILES AND INFO ARE CHANGING TOO OFTEN
EDIT: 16 April 2010 18:20
Created a *.zip file containing all the HTCVolumeControl.dll fixes because I added two more different.
I'm becoming a collector
Hope you like it....
Have fun(k)

Now that I posted the taskbar I feel lighter.....it was tiring to write such a post LOL
I wonder how Co0kie does to write that kilometric posts like the CHT one.
I guess that if he doesn't have a very strong breakfast he risks to die during the post editing
Anyway...it's done.
Thanks again bud for your kind words

May I ask how you unsign, sign and edit your dll's? I have had a problem since like a month back where some dll's just isn't working after I edit them.

Sure you can ask!
To unsign I use Unsigner, to sign them I use msigner the last version I don't remember where I got it from. The previous version has the certificates expired. If you need it I can attach it.
For editing I use Restorator 2007, but sometimes misteriously it fails to open a *.dll. Then I try to open it with ResHack. Sometimes ResHack open it, sometimes don't....
I don't use PE explorer, because the way I need to use this resources editors, I found Restorator 2007 wonderful.
Feel free to ask artieq
Anyway, awesome taskbar....great work mate

That's really strange, I do exact the same. When I try to edit heavy files such as shellres.192.dll they just break the whole taskbar, some icons don't show up so I have to put back the old one. I can edit MessagingRes.dll and stuff like that, which is strange.. But please upload your msigner folder because it must be something with the signing process.
EDIT: And thanks btw Same to you!

Wow!!! can't wait to try your new NGTV Taskbar!!!
Your's is always the best man! I'm a big fan of your Funk'd b&w taskbar!!!

Love the work......but its not working on mine, i installed the 6.5.x.... only 1 or 2 icons are showing up(volume and blue tooth) the rest are left blank.
I already have a pre installed taskbar that came with the ROM i'm using, not sure if that has anything to do with it.
The Rom i'm using is Laurentius26 V4.0 WWE Ultimate POWER
CE OS 5.2.23554 (23554.5.5.0)
Base oemdrivers 1.72.831.1 (82124) WWE

The cooked taskbar with the rom is not a problem. The files are into the ROM, so they cannot be deleted, but can be installed an application or whatever you want that overrides the original files inside the ROM.
But....did you follow the instructions steps carefully?
I can believe some issue on Volume Control, it's a classic, but you are telling that you have no signal, battery etc etc icons....it sounds strange to me

Hello hullem, nice to "see" you
About the Xannytech's mod I don't know...Xanny is a lot of time that has became invisible....he didn't post anymore for about 2 months or so
It is possible to recover the files by flashing one of his roms then extracting the dlls with RomExtractor or in another way don't care, so you can take them and make a cab. I should like to do it for you, but my time it's always very limited and I have to go ahead with the NGTV Taskbar....
If I will have a little time after released the NGTV Taskbar will give it a look, but it's not a promise mate
thanks hullem,

oke thanks dafunk,
Ill search some info for myself wich files i need and how to make a cab !?
haha no creator just taking al the wonderfull designs here....
take your time and if you dont have it to make it for me its oke
thanks again for the taskbar and letting me testing it !!!

Thanks for it, I'll try it later About the other guy, some cooked ROMs mess up the dll's so the resources aren't always on same place as another ROM etc. It's a pain but if you know how to edit dll's and stuff, you could just extract the ico's from this taskbar and put them on your own dll's.
EDIT: Not working. Start menu icon and signal bars dissapear (it shows that icon which means no signal or something). Can you tell me exactly how you do step by step when putting a new icon into a dll? Thanks.

Tutorials for First Time Raphael / Touch Pro / Windows Mobile Owners

The Touch Pro aka Raphael is my first Windows Mobile device. The first time i got it running, i freaked out because I was expecting a fast and responsive phone. It was unbearably slow and it made me regret buying this expensive phone. Searching the net led me to xda-developers and I was able to make my windows mobile better.
The thing is, info on various stuff on the forums tend to be spread out and getting to figure out what I wanted to do took hours of my time searching and asking questions on the forums. So I decided to put up simple steps in one place and in one thread on the first things you would want to do when you get your Raphael.
INSTALLING PROGRAMS
I figured people who get their first windows mobile phone will probably not know how to INSTALL programs into it. there are two file types that programs usually come in with. there are the .EXE and the .CAB files.
.EXE files are run from the computer and the application will be installed to your phone the next time you SYNC it.
.CAB files, on the other hand, require to be imported to your phone. Connect your phone to your PC via USB, and copy the .CAB to the phone's memory. Run the pasted file on your phone using the built-in file explorer and follow the on-screen instructions.
1. Tweaking the Registry
You might want to tweak the registry of your stock ROM first to see if there are any improvements. here is the link to various Raphael tweaks tested by rhedgehog: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=413562
To edit these registries, you will need a registry editor. There are a lot of registry editors available but I personally use Kilmist Registry Editor. Its free and works from the phone. Here is the link: http://www.brothersoft.com/kilmist-registry-editor-download-80725.html
1. Install the .cab to your phone
2. Run the registry editor
3. To tweak the registries, follow the path names as would with folder paths.
Here is another registry tweak that was said to work great http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=432966
If you still aren't satisfied with the performance, I suggest flashing in a new ROM. Follow the steps below.
2. Flash in a new ROM - for GSM versions only
First thing you would want to do would be to flash its ROM. Flashing, as i figured out was a way to re-format your Poket PC much like a personal computer. There are a lot of ROMS available on this site made by generous people who give their time to making windows mobile a more pleasurable experience.
Here are the steps to be able to Flash your ROM:
1. Download the Hard-SPL made by the Raphael Elite Team. You should just follow the instructions on their thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=410150
2. Choose the ROM you would like to flash and download it. There are a number of choices. Here are a couple i have tried:
a. ROMeOS² - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=426099
b. DCS-Touch Pro - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=421609
You should choose a ROM that suits your preferences and, of course, language. Most of the ROMS are here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=440
3. Run the downloaded ROM from your computer and follow the instructions.
Now, you should have a faster ROM build than your stock one. SOme say the stock is fine but others, like me, have definitely gained big improvements. They have extra useful programs too.
When you have a usable OS running, the next thing you would probably want to do is change its theme. I see a lot of people asking questions on how to change icons, themes, touchflo3d, etc. and, like me, I hadn't the slightest idea on how to do it. I finally figured out how and here are the simple steps.
3. Changing Theme of Windows
To change the theme (not the TouchFlo 3d theme but the color of the title bars and all), you would want to go to: START > SETTINGS > TODAY
You will find that there are a few themes included with the phone and if you ever want some more, here is a thread where you can download quiet a few themes: http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=ATOM_USER_THEMES
To get the theme to your phone, just copy the downloaded files to the Root of your Storage Card and you will be able to see them in the TODAY settings.
4. Changing the Theme of TouchFlo3d
To change the theme for TouchFlo3d you will need to use Diamond TouchFlo3d config made by sushilange. Here is the link to the thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=405749
What you do is import the .CAB to your device and run it through there.
Here is a link to themes made by sushilange as well: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=409901
Just import the theme to your phone, run Diamond TF3D config > Appearance, then select the fold where the theme is located. The theme will then appear on the drop down menu.
To add a wallpaper to TF3D, on the other hand, just scroll over the the settings part of TF3D and select wallpaper.
SOME themes do not require Diamond TF3D config. Some are downloaded as zip files wherein you EXTRACT them, and copy all the files included to the WINDOWS folder of you phone using Total Commander. The link to Total Commander is found in the next section.
If you want to revert back to your original HTC theme, you can always use Diamond TF3D config to revert back to your original files.
5. Changing the icons only of TF3D
Changing the icons is simple but you would need a program like Total Commander to access and paste files on the Windows folder of your phone. ROMeOS² already has Total Commander built into it but for those who don't have it yet, here is a link: http://www.ghisler.com/pocketpc.htm
The touch pro uses an ARM processor so choose that as your file
1. download an icon pack
2. unzip it (if it is zipped and not in a CAB)
3. transfer the contents to your phone (preferably in a folder somewhere)
4. copy the contents using Total Commander and paste it in \Windows folder
5. soft reset the device
I dont know if this works with a changed TF3D theme. I haven't tried it yet. I've only tried it on the stock theme.
I dont have links to icons as well, ive only used the HTC 3d icons found here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=421317 and posted by Blob8me
6. Changing the clock
Here is a link to Sergio PC's thread from the Diamond section on the clocks he's got: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=420887
there are instructions there so just follow that. and yes, this works on the Touch Pro
7. Adding a Call History Tab to TouchFlo 3d
This modification helped me a lot. It puts your call history in a separate tab. Here is the link to the instructions: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=410180
So there you have it. I am a newbie myself so to the experts out there, if there are any improvements i can make to this, please tell me.
hope this helps!
this is the way my touch pro looks after all these steps:
{

"lightbox_next": "Next",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
maybe this can be a sticky to at least minimize people asking over and over how to do this and that, and veterans always having to suggest "search" for the answer.
VERY usefull.....just wat we needed...

INSTALL the Diamond TF3D config first. i guess you know how to install .CAB files? then look for it in the programs. run Diamond TF3D config, go to the "Appearance" tab, then select the folder where the theme is located. The theme will then appear on the drop down menu.

the wallpaper of the touchflo can be changed through the settings of touchflo itself.
go to the SETTINGS TAB of the touchflo, not the settings from the start menu, then click on WALLPAPER.
that should solve your problem.

erm... slide your finger along the bottom part of touchflo, where the buttons are.. (like HOME, MESSAGES, PEOPLE, etc.) keep going and you should find one with the SETTINGS label...
i suggest exploring your phone first before doing anything i suggested in this post. that way, you would know what you are doing.

What are the Rhodium Menu & Notification Compatible Roms? (BUILD 21000 OR HIGHER)

Hello all, Im trying to test and see which roms will work with the new Rhodium menu enhancements and Rhodium notification enhancements cabs that have become available recently. The links describe how they require a minimum of 21000 or higher build ROM that is hard to determine on some newer roms because of the recent microsoft attorney hoax resulting in removing links. Can someone please list a rom or roms they have used that has worked with the above cabs installed and working. I will post the links I have obtained these cabs from below. Thanks in advance and everyone be well.

THANKS
Well, I have a 21032 port coming soon that happily runs the new menu enhancement. As for the Notification enhancement, no one has gotten it to run on QVGA devices correctly, yet. It requires TF3d and a few other things are hardcoded into the files, so it may still be awhile before we see this on a QVGA device.
Essentially, any new ROM build that is using 21028 or 21032 will support the menu enhancement. There is belief that the new enhancements require a 21000+ gwes.exe.

I'm working on rescaling all the images in the cabs for both in QVGA. Notifications ended up having a dll with icons in it. Going to have to replace the icons. It has 32x32 pixel icons and QVGA uses 16x16 pixel icons. This will also mean sdkcerts will be needed so this dll can be recognized once I mod it.

I've tried this, and it doesn't really work too well. I've also tried playing around with the values in the DLL File (not the images), but they don't seem to be the normal X,Y,W,H like they should be
I think they have made more progress in the other thread
BTW, I'm working on a new ROM with 21032 as a base

Yea, the work on notification enhancement has hit some serious snags, they've had some trouble just getting it from WVGA to VGA properly. Haha but I'm sure some of you guys in the Kaiser forums could whip it into shape, I'm always amazed at what gets done around here.
I can report the QVGA menu enhancement works just fine on Anryl's 21032 Iolite build. The PPC Geeks cab that got posted works fine but they changed the colors to a funky purple, I've been using this one which keeps the stock green: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=3454909&postcount=130
There's a couple of other QVGA skins lurking around in that thread, too. From what I've gathered, nobody has gotten it to work on a 6.5 build yet? Seems that the gwes.exe isn't directly compatible.
So Far
All I did was install the notification enhancement from the first post and rebooted. I was using a 6.5 rom with chome or whatever its called so it didnt run correctly since I wasnt running m2d. I will post back after I reflash pdacorner v20 and try again.

well, I was able to unsign it with PE Explorer, and then resign it, but after installing, nothing changed.
I wished it was the skin was in an easy .xml file, like a lot of the new programs are

HELP: Transparent Taskbar & SoftKey bar in WinMo 6.5

Hi, I've just flashed Dutty's R4 Leo winMo 6.5 rom and am lovin' it, however I've seen a few other roms where their default theme/background is modified to look as though the taskbar and softkey bars are semi transparent so you can see the background image through the bars.
i've been reading up on this have already tried a few things that should have worked but I can't get any method to work, and need some help.
My first attempt was to see if making the black_taskbar.png file semi transparent in Photoshop and copying back over the file in the windows folder and and reseting would work, but no, transparency in the PNG isn't kept (or windows is using another file from somewhere).
Second method was to take crops of the top and bottom 52pixels of my preferred background (much like what HDWall does) and apply a semi transparent black on top and replace the existing PNG files in the windows folder, No transparency, just faking it, again it didn't work.
I'm now beginning to think that the HTC Black theme in Dutty's rom isn't using the black_taskbar.png or blacksoftkeybar.png files in the /windows/ folder
Please help me, can I use HDWall to create an updated HTC Black theme for Dutty's R4 winMo 6.5 Leo (manilla 2.5) rom so I can get my "Transparent" bars working? I'm reluctant to use HDwall cos I'm not sure how compatible it is with Winmo 6.5 and the Leo/Manilla 2.5 build, if not what else can I do?
or am I just doing something so obviously wrong that I just can't see it for the thought of being stupid.
hmm have you tryed MAXTF3D it worked for me
disable TF3D, copy these files to windows directory and owerwrite for full transparent top and bottom curtain and enable TF3D

This worked! nice one, thanks.
full transparency top and bottom to the task bar and soft key bar. Just means now that I have to do a little photoshop'ing to my backgrounds to apply custom bars top and bottom
thanks again for the help
shame there isn't just a registry key to modify that can set an opacity percentage level for the bars while in Manilla screens, windows 6.5 seems to be able to do it on the lock screen when in default skin. nevermind, you can't have everything perfect!
could you make the attached zips as .cabs please??
The files in the zip archives does not exist in the windows folder. Im using the dutty's 6.5 R4 rom.
For which build is it for?? i have shadowline's 6.5.1 build 23064 and when i put those files in windows dir they add to the folder but doesnt replace previous manila files. any chance to get it working on 23064?
mine is 23016 and there is no such files too.
You allready said the answer..
You have 6.5.1 and it works for 6.5
oops ;p yep the answer was there all the time. hahaha thanks Overloaded
Well im using this rom (the same as the author of this thread) and these files does not exist in my rom too.
i'm probably being an idiot...but what do you mean by "disable tf3d" ? disable touchl flo? as in uncheck it and use the standard wm 6.5 desktop? coz i did that, but it didnt work for me...
I just use the HDWallS.

Hi there, I am trying to get a transparent taskbar, or short of that, trying to change the colour.
I have a touch pro2 from vodafone UK now running the latest official rom wm6.5, and whatever I seem to do it just stays black, the vodafone today theme is light so i've made a nice wallpaper but the task bars look out of place, i've tried changing the windows mobile theme, this changes the taskbar colours but only when you click on the "start" button, everything else is just black.
I've tried changing the colour with maxTTM but this does nthing, I've also tried the transparent option and again...nothing, I can't even change the colour to a graduated glass effect that I've seen used elswhere.
Ive tried copying and overwriting with the files you posted but again....nothing, still black.
Any ideas please.

2- HTCvolumecontrol is broken, (ugly) WM control is shown
3- inbox email: the trash does not show up
4- try to go Titanium...
the graphics are really nice, that will be again a brilliant taskbar

Cedric,
For all the points, i have attached the pictures in my previous post.
another thing, the waiting cursor after removing the cab remains, i don't mind since i like the blue - but just to tell you.
titanium does not bottom seems screwed up - look @ the screenshots i posted.
the dll should be from 1.66 rom, 6.5.5 and manila 2.5 1922 - so pretty much the latest.
Awaiting for your taskbar, sure it will look pretty nice

Hi DJC,
Really appriciate your effort to get it working for us. Running v02 now. BTW in v01 the volume started working after the second SR. It's still working on v02
So far:
BT icon works; enabled (blue) & visible (red), didn't test headset connected
Wifi icon works; conneccted and searching
Signal icon works; strength bars, G, 3G, H, I don't have edge at home
Batt. icon works
Mail delete button still replaced with the menu button
SMS left button replaced by X button.
In Titanium the windows logo isn't replaced.
Back-/lock button in startmenu works
X and OK buttons in apps and startmenu are not replaced/skinned
Volume control works.
great work
your windows button is much nicer than the one that xanny has...you should probably suggest him to integrate that in his ROM
or maybe its possible to make a cab just for the bottom bar because I like the bar at the top in XannyTech's ROM...

The taskbar is fully compatible CDMA and GSM.
I don't own a Leo, so I couldn't test it directly, but I have positive feedbacks from many devices: Blackstone, Leo, TP, TP2 and others.

Here is the animation of the custom wait cursor...hope you like it
The taskbar is in two versions: with "classic signal bars" and with "Black signal bars". See the image above.
The taskbar will install the default windows flag for Start button. See the image above. You can find alternative versions of the Start button graphics for classic/black signal bars in the attachments at the bottom of this post.
If you want to get rid of the "Start" text you can find the NO_START Patch WWE in the attachments at the bottom of this post.
Please note that this patch will work ONLY on WWE Roms.
---------------------------------------------------------------
HOW TO INSTALL THE TASKBAR
1) - The taskbar has the certification inside, anyway the safest way to start the installation is to install sdkcert.cab first.
2)- Choose which version you install: with classics or with black signal bars.
Note: don't make the mistake to install directly one of the alternative Start button cabs. It will only install "shellres.192.dll" and not the full taskbar. Install the taskbar first.
3) - Perform a soft reset.
4) - Your volume icons will likely be skinned, but if you are experiencing strange issues with volume or you have the volume control "broken", showing the ugly Windows Mobile volume control, try to install the volume fixes how explained below:
Download the file dafunk HTCVolumeControl.dll Fixes.zip where inside you will find 4 different versions of HTCVolumeControl.dll:
dafunk HTCVolumeControl.dll 1920.1327.cab
dafunk HTCVolumeControl.dll 1920.3625.cab
dafunk HTCVolumeControl.dll 1921.3629.cab
dafunk HTCVolumeControl.dll 2011.3221.cab
You have to find which works good for you....you can still unistall it and install another fix if the one installed is not good.
---- If in the place of the volume icon you have a black square or you have no icon at all, try to install: dafunk BlackBox Volume Fix.cab. ----
If the cab does not work please delete the following two reg entries:
HKLM/Software/HTC/VolumeOverlay/LoadIconFromResDLL
HKLM/Software/HTC/VolumeOverlay/SoundIconLink
REMEMBER TO ALWAYS PERFORM A SOFT RESET after installed or uninstalled some stuff!
And.......please, report feedbacks specifying your DEVICE, ROM, and OS VERSION
---------------------------------------------------------------
Hope you like it....
Have fun(k)

The taskbar is fully compatible CDMA and GSM.
I don't own a Leo, so I couldn't test it directly, but I have positive feedbacks from many devices: Blackstone, Leo, TP, TP2 and others.
Here is the animation of the custom wait cursor...hope you like it
The taskbar is in two versions: with "classic signal bars" and with "Black signal bars". See the image above.
---------------------------------------------------------------
HOW TO INSTALL THE TASKBAR
1) - The taskbar has the certification inside, anyway the safest way to start the installation is to install sdkcert.cab first.
2)- Choose which version you install: with classics or with black signal bars.
3) - Your volume icons will not be skinned.
Download the file dafunk HTCVolumeControl.dll Fixes.zip where inside you will find 4 different versions of HTCVolumeControl.dll:
dafunk HTCVolumeControl.dll 1920.1327.cab
dafunk HTCVolumeControl.dll 1920.3625.cab
dafunk HTCVolumeControl.dll 1921.3629.cab
dafunk HTCVolumeControl.dll 2011.3221.cab
If you are experiencing strange issues with volume or you have the volume control "broken", showing the ugly Windows Mobile volume control, try to install a different volume fix from the four provided.
You have to find which works good for you....you can still unistall it and install another fix if the one installed is not good.
4) - Perform a soft reset.
REMEMBER TO ALWAYS PERFORM A SOFT RESET after installed or uninstalled some stuff!
And.......please, report feedbacks specifying your DEVICE, ROM, and OS VERSION

Hope you like it....
Have fun(k)

EXTRAS
Screenshots of the NGTV CHT Locker graphics for GTX
**********************************************************
NGTV CHT Locker graphics
There are at the bottom of the post 3 ZIP files: with classic signal bars, with black signal bars and with black signal bars for GTX theme.
The CHT Locker graphics are the graphics installed with Co0kie Home Tab: the battery icons showed when the device is locked, the locker icon and the active pages indicator icons.
Of course I made this for users of the taskbar who want to have the icons matching with their NGTV taskbar.
You will find into each ZIP 2 versions that differs only for the locker icon.
The locker icon in the image above is the #1.
**********************************************************
Taskbar backgrounds
I made a taskbar background that is very nice IMHO for NGTV and GTX Sense Theme. I made the top right system clock background in the same style of NGTV but in black (the system hour is white....).
You can find the cabs at the bottom of the post, and there are a version for WM 6.5 (height 52 pixels) and a version for WM 6.5.X (height 36 pixels).
USE THE CABS IF ONLY YOU INSTALL THE TASKBAR BACKGROUND OVER GTX SENSE THEME.
The cab will install the file into Windows/GTX_Theme so will work only for this one.
You can also use the taskbar backgrounds with other themes, but you have to find out the name of the PNG of the taskbar of your theme, then rename and copy/replace it into the same folder with one of the following two PNGs.
Here the PNGs:
This is for WM 6.5
This is for WM 6.5.X

Looks nice! Does it works on 2.5.2012?
dafunk's NGTV taskbar 4 T-Mobile US stock (WM 6.5)

My apologies to all the T-Mobile US stock users. I know that you had to do Hard Resets and believe me I'm really sorry. But I wanted to made from scratch especially for you the NGTV. I took the .dlls from gfreek's v6 taskbar and edited them.
So, many thanks MASTER gfreek
This taskbar is my mod from original Bilbobrian's (Brian's) one. I have inverted the colors black/white, but the original button layout is from Bilbobrian. Thanks Brian
The taskbar is fully compatible CDMA and GSM.

The taskbar is in two versions: with "classic signal bars" and with "Black signal bars". See the image above.
The taskbar will install the default windows flag for Start button. See the image above. You can find alternative versions of the Start button graphics for classic/black signal bars in the attachments at the bottom of this post.
If you want to get rid of the "Start" text you can find the NO_START Patch WWE in the attachments at the bottom of post #1.
REMEMBER TO ALWAYS PERFORM A SOFT RESET after installed or uninstalled some stuff!
And.......please, report feedbacks specifying your DEVICE, ROM, and OS VERSION
---------------------------------------------------------------
IF YOU DIDN'T READ THE OPENING POST AND INSTALLED THE WM6.5 NOT FOR T-Mobile,
TRY TO DO THE FOLLOWING TO UNINSTALL THE TASKBAR:
If your left hard key is still programed for voice, you can do a long hold and then voice comand "open settings" and go to apps for a quick uninstall.
Thanks to snasearles for the tip.

Thanks
But....I don't understand well what you mean...
The taskbar only changes the icons of the taskbar.
For the taskbar BAR and for the bottom bar (taskbar and softkeybar) you have to change the PNGs of those files...it's not related to taskbar installation.
Anyway follow my signature and try to install my black version of the taskbar, so you can see if it works for you
very nice,very nice,very nice
I mean DJC had one wich change both, top and bottom. And that doesn´t work for me.
And i don´t like the grey softkeys at the bottom.
But thx for your Help!!

Yes Matt, it's fully compatible GSM and CDMA.
Santod040 helped me to skin the CDMA part because of an icon still missing that I couldn't find, but the taskbar is born GSM.
Now I cannot because I'm at work, but if I have enough time I will post it tonight (central europe) or tomorrow.
Thanks mate
cheers

Bottom bar and Task bars are two different things
You have to get two seperate cab files that address the two different objects. I am using Artemis 10 and have both Taskbar and Bottom bar skinned, of course using different cab files for each
Cheers,
Faisal.

My favorite is attached with this message.
Install the Livven SimpleGloss Themes 192dpi.cab first followed by Livven Glass Selectors 192dpi.cab
Then go to settings, home and select the Black Livven! You will have beautiful finger friendly selectors and superb bottom buttons.
Search for Livven in the general Windows Theme forum, may be he already has some updated version to this. But this as it is works perfectly with Artemis and any other ROM!
Enjoy
Cheers
Faisal.
BIG THX!!
looks nice mate, keep up the good work

I can't wait.

@dena994:
I was already thinking about to do it.....the only thing that stops me to make it is that I need a breath and not to see dlls for a while
Anyway I'm planning to release in the future battery indicator with only percentage as well as some new custom wait cursor or to add some more colors to this one.
Thanks again,
dafunk
they look awesome. : )
