The one thing, that is missing on WM in my opinion are either live wallpapers, or simply wallpapers, which would move if you slide to the right/left tab. -> andoid.
something like this, only in WVGA 2.5: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V1rH0fw3j1g&feature=player_embedded
greetz shu8i
Use SPB Mobile shell - wallpaper moves on that
Search for panoramic sense 2.5 wallpapers.

If you are using home++ post here about it, not in the darchdroid thread, lets try to keep that one more on topic
If you don't know what home++ is, it is one of the best home replacement's out there. Check here for more details http://hpp.intuitit.mobi/
This app works with live wallpapers on the 2.1 builds IF you disable workspace looping in the preferences (Home-> menu -> preferences) and you download the beta from the website, not the market place
Yeah I saw all those posts in Darchs thread and wanted to share but did not want to clog up what has been a very productive Dev thread.
I agree Home++ is the best home replacement for 1.6+ devices. I was happy with GDE while on 1.5, but Home++ is in another league. In the market search Home++ Beta.

Thats right. It is actually by Koxx, a Dev here on XDA. The widgets are great. Very customizable and lots of skins. Check out his post. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=545097

Its called weather forecast widget. It is also by Koxx, just search his name in the market and you will find all the widgets.
One of the things I really like about Home++ is the ability to use the home screen in landscape mode. Other home replacements I have used also had this feature but did not scale widgets properly. Home++ seems to do a good job with the widgets I have been using.

Digital Clock Widget
I really like the clear theme without the task bar, but miss the task bars functionality. I was able to make a clear task bar in 1.5, but the wallpaper was cropped too short (black task bar). Hopefully that is not a problem with 2.1/Home++ as I am going to try to make a clear task bar for my home screen.
Does anyone know if the task bar is gonna give me hell if I try to change the text white?

Not possible. You would have to spit a wallpaper into sections and make it the wallpaper for each page to get a somewhat similar effect.
Moved as not theme release.
Hi, does anyone know how to set your wallpaper so that it doesn't always turn to a landscape view, but a portrait one? I don't want to have the wallpaper pan each time I scroll to a different page. I just want image to remain static while I switch pages.
I tried Dodol's wallpaper maker but it's always force closing.. Please help!
Thanks.

Have you tried Wallpaper Wizardrii from Play store? Works well for me. I prefer no scroll as well. Option in settings of Wizardrii for no scroll.

Would rotating the picture before you apply it as your wallpaper work..? I think it would give you what your look for...

So I have the Xoom and was wondering what clock widgets you guys are using? I tried beautiful widgets and fancy widget pro, They both look like hell. The hero clock in black from factory widget looks okay but I am wanting something better. Also any ideas for some good live wallpapers? I have the Auroras and Bluesea. I have light grid pro. Also something better would be good. I can buy as well from market, just wanting to maximize it you know. Also many of my movies are .avi any good players for these as realplayer beta normally do this but not on xoom any thoughts? Thanks in advance!
Cheers,
Shokouhi
You can use moboplayer or rockplayer for the videos. As for the clocks and lwp's you will have to pick for yourself what you like. Try reading through the "post your homescreen" thread. Most of the time they list what they use or answer it a few post later. Hey.....its a start.

For live wallpapers, I like jumpgate, any matrix "live wp, and a while back I remember seeing a tech article about a live wp that is a mini 3d globe and was really cool. (Sorry I don't have a name or a link for that one) for clock Widgets, have you tried usng custom skins on beautiful Widgets? You can change the look dramatically with the skins.

I find I like the Aurora LWP. Also I am using the Asus weather widget. As far as every clock I find other than stock clock widget it they are all sized incorrectly. I wish someone could port the clock from Touch Wiz Ux between that and asus weather widget, that would be a sweet combo!
Shokouhi
Thanks for the input thus far!
Personally, I like the retro clock and calendar widgets.

You could use TerraTime which is a 3D globe, live satellite map and clock widget. Love it.

Check this app out: https://market.android.com/details?id=com.miui.home
Looks amazing; you can use any MIUI theme (.mtz) as the lockscreen. Get themes from here: http://www.miuithemes.com/ or in the app.
Should work on stock, CM7 etc
More info in this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=20284880#post20284880
Beautiful, works on stock ROM with 2.3.4.
BUUUT, almost all beautiful themes are in chinese (pffff), and the theme downloads take soooo much to finish. Right now I'm downloading a theme and after 4-5 minutes it is on 23% of the download...
And it has got so much few customization options (how the hell do you change the background picture???), you cannot place widgets on the lockscreen...
I'll try it for a bit more, but I think widgetlocker is a better option.
Great, but dont know how i can use my own wallpaper from gallery or livewallpaper

We know it, but going there you just can set for wallpapers the images of this program or a transparent image, but you can't select an image from your own gallery.
After using it a bit, I have to say that WidgetLocker>>>>>>> this.
