News Reader Widget - Android Apps and Games

There used to be a widget in the Market called News Reader (I believe the latest version was 3.1) that is no longer there anymore. The developer has a blog (http://sumnechamak123.blogspot.com/2009/10/news-reader-v031.html) but doesn't have any email address to contact him at. This was the only legitimate news scrolling "ticker" (not standard rss widget) that I have seen so far for Android, but I can't seem to get it anywhere now. Anyone still have this that can upload the .apk? It was free and the developer also made a BBC news version. I believe the US News version which I need was fed from CNN. Thanks!

Any free news client?

Anyone know of a free client for news feeds from RSS? Hopefully one which will integrate into the Today screen.
im using a program called "PocketRSS" its free, and comes with a today plugin. I have it on my advantage and absolutly love it, works with all my RSS feeds. I dont have a link to it handy, but im sure you can google it

pRSSreader
pRSSreader is an application for reading RDF and RSS feeds on PocketPC.
All of Newsgator's products are now free - give Newsgator Go a try.
There are some RSS readers from HTC floating around forums too. One is RSS Hub and the other one was taken from Touch Dual ROM, I can not remember the name of it, sorry.
You may try freerange
Hi,
You may try freerange (the free version ofcourse). I think it is one of the best RSS readers. If not the Best

RSS Reader Plugin that displays multiple headlines

im just now understanding and utilizing RSS feeds (yes im late, lol)
and i wanna keep up with the latest headlines of digg and slashdot as a plugin.
im testing and playing with egress, while its nice and intuitive its only listing one headline at a time in random order on my plugin page.
I cant figure out how to expand the plugin to allow for more headlines or how to have two websites displayed at once.. is this software even capable of doing this? Or am i gonna have to just get used to one headline at a time?

Good RSS reader?

I'm looking for a good RSS reader with a pretty slick interface, any ideas?
SpeeedReader is currently my favorite since it integrates with Google Reader meaning it only shows me stuff I didn't already read on my desktop. Very handy.
It's got a few significant bugs and limitations at the moment (though it's still worth checking out). The author claims big improvements in the next version, which should be available soon.
I found one called SPB News, it's a really nice reader and it shows pictures
SPB Insight ftw! Has pics, huge online catalog of feeds and more!

[APP] Pulse News Reader

wow I just found this app and it is by far the best looking news app besides newsroom. I love the UI!
http://www.appbrain.com/app/pulse-news-reader/com.alphonso.pulse
It's Free too starting today! The ui is awesome!
Wow, this is really nice. I was using FeedSquares before, but I might just leave it for this. Thanks for the heads up
Truly amazing app. Too bad all my local news sites don't seem to include images in the feed, or is that a feature only for the predefined feeds?
Edit: Btw. do I take the wrong feed or why most news sites only have a small text as newsfeed, and not the complete story like the predefined?
Reverse Engineering Pulse
Now that Pulse news reader is now dead or the one that I like and have used for the last 5 years...is it possible to use the original Pulse app without a back end Content Aggregator?
Shame LinkedIn has squashed its development and moving on with something else (COMPLETELY different), but curious if anyone has an ideas for replacing, re-engineering, or otherwise the original Pulse App?
Please note, I've looked at the newer version of Pulse (for me is useless) and other similar apps like Flipboard, but nothing comes close to what Pulse has to offer. May have to develop something on my own or hope and pray for someone with more programming skill.
Thanks for the reply to this old thread and appreciate the feedback!

I was a big fan of Pulse reader and i cant find any similar replacement to this type of rss aggregator, with news in rows and mosaic steam. I dont understand how can anyone destroy a totally practical app, like linkedin did with Pulse. The fact is that after pulse reader (and taptu), there is no app in android store that brings rss in a vertical feed setup with horizontal scrolling and it seems like every other news aggregators got stucked with the Feedly-like layout.
So, one solution for the pulse-lovers like me is to create an app like pulse (and make it even better). As an app designer i would like to collaborate with an experienced dev on a new rss reader, if he's really into it.

Thankyou
This is the reader app I've been waiting for. It's fast, looks great and does most of what I want with one exception.
Can you separate the shared items feed in to feeds from my followed contacts like how the Google reader website does?
If you can do that, this app would be absolutely perfect.
