Hey all, I am on cyanogenmod right now, and I am having reoccuring problems with my bluetooth, but I've had these same issues with all roms I've tried! Freezing, having to restart, intermittent audio, it rebooting on its own... I know bluetooth issues are widespread, but what is the best rom for bluetooth? Is there one where it works perfectly? I would appreciate any answers, thanks!

Thanks achillies! I guess I should've mentioned that I have a 32A, not sure if that matters in bluetooth stability or not. I'll give it a try, thanks!

Hi guys I'm currenting running BAMF 2.0 and I'm having a lot of problems with charging and USB mounting and so I was wondering if I should switch to CM7. What problems have you guys been having with CM7? Also what kernel and radio should I flash when I run it? Thanks!

You need to use a Froyo radio (like the one in my signature). Also CM7 does have it's own issues: see the CM7 thread for more. I'm using leanKernel2.5.2+tun and it works great. Make sure to flash the kernel in recovery and not in ROM manager or Kernel Manager -- it can cause issues. Some of the charging issues I've seen with the GB Sense Leak seem to have something to do with the kernel, or so I've read in the leanKernel thread. May want to check that out before you switch.
Good luck!
I've been using CM7 as my daily driver since the newest build came out and have had very few problems. The most annoying issue is that in order to get 4g you have to turn 3g on first, then switch to 4g and it will connect, but won't show you how many bars you have. Aside from that everything is working pretty flawlessly for me. I think that it is way better than any of the sense based roms and it's definitely cool to have an AOSP rom since I upgraded from the OG DROID.
I wouldn't say I've been having zero problems, I don't have the updated baseband above (care to point me where I can find that/noob instructions?) but overall I have mixed feelings with the update - most of them are stock-android issues I think. The radios are a mess, I lose 3g regularly and have to restart, gps problems, and bluetooth is a complete disaster (as it was on sense). Other than that, I've had issues with exchange, issues with my contacts (may have been a backup problem), issues with some widgets. Generally it is MUCH faster than sense on bootup, but some games are laggy with nothing else running.
Also: Netflix!
Really looking forward to future updates, once the kinks are worked out I will be pretty happy. Very glad I'm off sense and all that VZ crap is gone.
Just flashed AR HD w/ no-sense for the first time last night, coming from MIUI and so far it's pretty good. I used Cyanogen for quite a while, then MIUI.us, which hasn't been able to get the code for Bluetooth A2DP yet. The "other" MIUI rom fortunately does have A2DP working, but since AR HD is the most popular ROM I'd thought I'd give it a try even though I'm not a fan of Sense.
Major dealbreaker is that I can't connect it to my car's Bluetooth stereo. I had no problems with stock, CM, or the "other" MIUI rom, but with this, I just can't connect to it.
Tried searching around, but couldn't find anything from anyone else having this problem, so I find it strange...
Any assistance would be appreciated, thanks!

Im running 3.6.7 and it quite happily connects to my built it Bluetooh in the car. Although this is for incoming phone calls and not A2DP so I dont know whether this makes any difference.
I ordered a Bluetooh Music receiver from Amazon last week to connect to my home cinema system and I was hoping to use my phone to wirelessly transmit music, now you have me worried! I will report back when it arrives and I have tested it.
Hoping to find it on the doormat when I get home from work today
Hi,
Bluetooth is notoriously poor with sense roms.
Cm7 has a very good bluetooth stack.
Hence you can work games controllers with it. And presumably your car equipment.
On sense roms, though, it can barely work my hands free ear piece.
So, if you use a lot of bluetooth, you are better off on cm7.
Thanks for your response! I've switched back to miui for now, but in searches for a2dp issues with ar HD, I couldn't find anyone having a similar problem...strange...

I have revolution hd 6.0.3 and it still doesnt work... tryed it with mercedes benz inbuilt BT ... Phoning worked music not ... trying with Sony Erricson MW600 ... not working ... pairing ok , mw600 is selectable in the sense music app ... but no sound ... still playng out of the inbuild speaker of the phone
I have the same problem with Android Revolution HD 6.0.3. Can anyone help please?
So I recently got Cyanogenmod 9 for my Sensation and I love it so much! However, I do in fact have one concern. Is there any way to fix the audio routing issue? Are there certain ICS Roms out there that don't have this issue? I flashed over from ARHD because of Bluetooth stack issues, that was good enough reason as it is. Now I have a whole-nother problem.
Every time I use an apparently that uses a microphone, the audio gets VERY quiet! Almost inaudible! I know that the Nightly CM builds currently have this issue, but are there any other stable ICS Tom's out there that don't have this issue? I love ICS a lot and don't want to abandon it. If I end up leaving CM until a stable build is released? Fine. But for now, I'd really appreciate some input to see if there is a way around all of this.
Thanks.
I use Ordroid with sense4 and I can confirm that the Mic works fine. Speaker is loud on speaker options. I don't have that issue. It's a Ics rom with sense4. It's a excellent rom however tethering does not work. Other than that It's fast and stable . Lots of customization options , aroma installer, and tweaks. I personally love it. You might want to try it if you can't find a fix.

Does Bluetooth work? How about wifi hotspots? I use Sixaxis controller ALOT and want to make sure I can keep it that way. So Ordroid goes back to the original Sense look?
Bluetooth works on Ordroid, so i suppose six axis should work pretty well without an issue. as for WiFi hotspot, yes it does work, although wired tether doesn't.
the look of sense on it is sense 4, latest sense by hTC...that can be found on the One series.
All,
Been on Synergy for the past 3 month and my flashing itch is coming back. I want to start trying 4.2.2...getting tired of TW. Has the 4.2.2 Roms gotten stable as a daily driver? I will predominantly using this for work so stability is key and driving, hence the bluetooth functionality.
I was roaming around the thread cyanogen, carbon and liquid and seem like they all have bluetooth issues?
Anybody on a current ROM that have both stability and working bluetooth?
Thanks for any opinion.
cant comment on bluetooth, but they are certainly stable and daily driver worthy.
hopefully someone else can chime in on the bluetooth specifically

I use cyberon voice commander for BT voice dialing. I have found on all ASOP roms, it works but the volume is low and there is a delay of up to 5 second in acknowledging the voice command.
Bluetooth works fine for me on a Carbon nightly....really like this ROM.

LiquisSmooth 2.5 is very stable. Been using it as a DD since January. Bluetooth works fine when I use it, which isn't much.
I have CM 10.1 RC5, and it's the most stable release they have. I believe they fixed the bluetooth a while ago. I only use it for audio streaming to my car, so I can't really comment on headsets or whatever else you might use it for.
But to my knowledge, bluetooth works. :good:
I have tried 4 ROMs but none of them support my bluetooth headset (plantronics backbeat 903+ )???
cm 10.1.2 jenkins was a nice ROM ...but when I connect mobile with bluetooth headset ...it says "Bluetooth pin request rejected by device " ???
There's a known bug for bluetooth a2dp on the CM 10.1.x builds. It's gonna take a while yet before it gets fixed, so if a2dp is really important to you, you should probably try a different rom for now.

I am running ROM 10.2 latest nightly (build cm_p500-userdebug 4.3.1) titled and phone's Bluetooth is not synchronizing, goes into a fast loop (on/off/on/off/on/off/...), detections works on occasion then never completes. I consider Bluetooth availability a safety issue for driving. My question is, has this problem been addressed or does your recommendation to go to another ROM still stand? I like this ROM otherwise, but have to back-out to ROM v10.1 to get Bluetooth to work. thanks.
Also, being the New Year, I wish the team the best of success, health & strength, peace & happiness for the coming year.

I don't use bluetooth other than for file transfer, so I can't speak from experience. It's probably best to check the various ROM dev threads for more details regarding existing bugs and whatnot. IMHO, if you really want a completely bug-free experience, stick with GB or ICS roms. 10.+ roms are more or less still works in progress. If you're interested in trying out the latest cutting edge releases, though, you might want to give this pre-trimmed KitKat release a try. That, plus sweetnsour's version 13 kernel looks pretty good so far.

Bluetooth is has been broken for a while then. Can you direct me to the Bluetooth code out of curiosity? Thanks for your reply, i'll take look at pre-trimmed KK. I like to live at the cutting edge so I am tracking KK/CM11 on Jenkins with anticipation and rooting for the team!:fingers-crossed:
