How much is this gonna be? And it works with every app, or are there caveats? Cause I'll drop the cash if it works with everything.
Also, any luck getting this in CM5 stock or has he still not responded?

Its already released, you can check the response it had got, here on the free version thread post #423 onwards.
This will not be included in CM5 due to legal issues but the app patches CM5 itself assuming you are running recognised releases.

This App just pwns and the alphas were mostly working already really good.

I don't see in anywhere in your creds, any thanks to the people who sent donations to further the development of this app. I know I did the first day you posted alpha....buying pro anyways.

I wish this could work without having too root!

I'm using Cy's test rom, but I went ahead and bought this in anticipation. :-D

i love this app!

Who do I post this Market feature request to: (?)
Request:
When uninstalling an app via market, there needs to be another reason for uninstall. New option: I've just ripped off the apk, so please uninstall and refund me.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I really can't believe how many people do this just to save £1.99, currently just over 10% of sales are refunded. Wish I could name and shame them.
That's a real shame, it's not just people who are too stupid to read the description and buy it before realising it's cyanogenmod only?
If it's any consolation, I rushed to buy it the day it came out even though I can't use it yet (on 5.0.6 test2, and haven't had time to rewind)
but they wont get the updates- maybe you need to do an update every week or so and then have it so that when a new CM is loaded it checks the version of the app before patching the framework? or it checks version number before updating database?
[APP] Font Changer 4.0.4 [29/09/12]
This app is no longer being updated and may cause issues on newer versions of Android. Use at your own risk!
Description
Font Changer allows you to change the font on your Android device. Some (most likely people from the HTC Desire forum section) may be familiar with an older version which required flashing an update, however these two versions don't require it (check the requirements section for more).
Basically you can put your TTF fonts in /sdcard/.fontchanger/ (location can be changed in the settings) and then you can apply a font once they have been found by the application (inside Font Changer there are more detailed instructions on how to do this). You can also set the fonts individually using the advanced mode. It works just by copying the selected font to the system partition and overwriting the current font. Backup is automatic, although occasionally it breaks resulting in the need to fix the fonts manually or with an update (usually the cause of messing with the fonts alongside with Font Changer).
Font Changer used to only have a paid version for the past few months, but with the new Market changes I have decided to add a free version. While most cancellations happen within a few minutes after purchase, not all do... and 15 minutes is just too short! Plus some people are not in a country where they are allowed to buy paid apps. Anyway, that's my reasoning.
The application should be removed from its settings to restore the default fonts and density. More information can be found on its Market page and inside the application.
Requirements
root
system write access (aka NAND unlock or S-OFF)
busybox
custom recovery (not a requirement per-se, but highly recommended in case something goes wrong)
Reviews
DroidDog
Coming Features
Fix up setting custom website for preview
Set dark/white theme
Rework UI for the font picker
Rework UI for the density changer
Need some icons for the Basic/Advanced tabs
Add more fonts to be replaced in Basic mode
Check font integrity
Shake for a random font
Really thanks for share.
OK, done. Although if your signature is correct and you have a GT540, Font Changer doesn't have support for it yet as I need some information to identify the device (the person with a GT540 who was helping me has gone somewhat quiet and I haven't managed to finish it without his input).
1. There are multiple rooting methods for the GT540, and some of them work with Font Changer and others don't. I'm afraid I don't have any specific information on this. If 1 works, then check out 2.
2. The GT540 uses different fonts than the default Android ones. I know which ones and already have the code in the application to make it work, however all I need is to identify the device for which I require someone with a GT540 willing to help.
Anyway, feel free to give it a try and see what will happen.
OK, your one works because you have CM which uses default Android fonts
You're welcome.
Version 1.7.1.3 has been released, per-user request.
It is now possible to specify in the settings whether the regular font should be used to replace the clock, or whether the default clock font should be used. Some ROMs make use of the clock font, others don't, so the option may not have an effect for everyone.
Doesn't work for me on rooted GT540 with stock Android 2.1 update. I am willing to help with any testing.
I've ben using this app for a while (paid version) and it works very well.
Seems to work on the HTC Vision /G2/Desire Z. Thanks a lot! (Got the paid version to support development)
Hi there. It doesn't work as in when you set the font it does nothing?
If that's what happens then you could try running the app which I attached in this post and send the report which it generates by GMail, or any other method that works for you. I'm missing identification information for the GT540.
And thanks to all those who bought from the Market to support development, it's greatly appreciated.
Very nice app. Thank you for developing it! Works perfect on HTC Desire
It seems that only ttf files are working, if anybody has a font which is otf for instance you can convert them here http://onlinefontconverter.com/
Just a second. You are giving me conflicting information. Did it say you don't have system write access OR root? Both will never be shown at the same time, I checked the code twice just now.
EDIT: Never mind, I was able to see that page. I'll get back to you soon hopefully.
it said it doesnt have write access. didnt say anything about root. sorry about that
[KANG]CM7 Nightly/cherry picks/transparent apps 2/2 1am
Just because I wanted to see how fast my PC could build cm7 (11.5 minutes), here's cm7, nightly with added in cherry picks for removing the rendering effect from screenshots, ability to mute the camera focus sound and volume beeps, and updated torch and terminal apps. Also included are transparent calculator and email apps from my buddy one_love_420, check out his UKE rom if you have the shift. This will have the same features and bugs as any other CM nightly, it just has the cherry picks and transparencies added for now.
Is this something you're going to keep up regularly? If so, I suggest you put the date (and time if possible) of when you build.
I probably will update it every week or 2.
On an unrelated note, does the linpack site not update anymore? I got a 106 on a custom kernel I've been messing with, but the latest runs for their site are from July 2011, and they don't have a g2x section, most of the g2x runs show under the nexus.
unfortunately,the transparent apps aren't online anymore.would you please reupload them?wanted to have a look at them.I am also creating transparent apps.
Hi, I wrote Tweet Lanes. ATM I'm preventing tablets from being able to install the app via the Play Store. I'm not happy with how it looks & feels on a tablet at this point, and I'd rather not subject all the tablet owners to a sub-par experience and have their first impressions of the app be anything less than awesome.
I am definitely aiming to add proper tablet support soon though, just as soon as I add the initial feature requests users have for the phone version.
Be sure to follow me @chrismlacy and I will be shouting from the rooftops when tablet support goes live
GNote - Note taking application (8/11/2012)
I created this application out of my need as I used S Memo for taking notes, meeting minutes and using the widgets as the sticky notes. I found memo to be the closest one but widgets was broken and I decided to create a new application based on SPen SDK 2.1
Features of GNote
1. Multiple widgets which remains even after reboot. Widgets are updated as soon as the corresponding note is edited.
2. Multiple pages with easy navigation
3. Update existing widgets note
4. Simple toolbar which can be hidden.
5. Notes Gallery for managing notes. (image of the first page of the note is shown in notes gallery)
6. Notes Gallery - Multiple notes can be deleted.
7. Images from gallery and camera can be added to the note.
8. Settings - option to disable back key
9. Settings - option to disable finger touch.
10.It remembers last used pen and eraser settings and uses the same when the app is launched next time.
11. Very smooth and does not lag.
12. Clicking on the title bar of widget opens a new note
13. Clicking on the body of the widget opens the note corresponding to the widget.
Compatible with ICS and JB.
Change Log
0.2
1. Add Images from camera and gallery
2. Layout changes to improve user experience
3. Added Settings and about screens
0.3
1. Background colors can be added to the notes. The same will be applicable to the widgets
2. Settings - Left Hand (Please report if not working fine)
3. Settings - Option to enable/disable pinch zoom
4. Notes Gallery now shows the count of pages in each note.
5. Note is saved without any confirmation. Further, you can save the note on demand using the save button. Note is saved when you navigate to some other activity or on exit of the application.
6. Some Icons changed (still a WIP).
7. Saves the notes faster. reduced the saving time by 50%.
an many insignificant fixes.
0.4
1. Note can be shared now
2. Note can be exported as a png image
3. Text can be added to the note
4. Tool tips are added to the toolbar buttons
5. Selected tool is highlighted in white(applicable to pen, eraser and text)
6. reverted the icons to holo light theme
7. Minor Bug fixes
If you find any bug please report it here. Do not forget to mention the Rom on which you are. Do not report bug if used other than galaxy note
You can donate to me by using about dialog from the application or from here. Donations are not necessary and will not have any effect on the development of the application.
Special Thanks to
g_aquarian for donation
Thanks to Devmil for his color chooser.
Please press thanks if you like my application. At least I deserve that
Like the app, very useful! It would be nice if we could change the background color of the widget and maybe try to steamline the widget title bar, it takes up space. All in all really like it and see a lot of potential!!
Thank you!
Customization and Background colors will come later as I need to tackle some of the basic stuffs like image and text. All suggestions than can improve user experience are welcome and are potential candidates for future releases.
I would have paid $25 but Indian users cannot sell paid apps currently on market and there is no way for me to regain those $25. Do you know any other alternate site where I can upload my application.
If i'm not totally wrong, you can upload your app to the Play Store, but you can't sell it. It has to be free. Or if you want to sell apps on the Play Store, you'll have to find a person (that you trust 110%) who can sell your app(s) on your behalf.
I searched a lot but the only answer I get is pay $25 and upload free or paid apps. Since, this application is free, its best for me to host it on XDA.
Have a disclaimer after installation which says "this app is free. If you bought yours, get a refund now." or something. XD
WOW!
really great application especially the lag-less writing with the pen. very impressive! even on the note cm10 preview
thanks very much
I think this should be part of CM 10 for note when it's ready. not of the ugly play store
the delete with finger idea is not that good I think - cause when I write I tend to touch the screen with my Palm rest accidently...
what i would like to See is an Option to disable the touchscreen and/or the back touch-Button --- so that just the pen is working
The Little Programs To Make Our Phones Better Thread!
Hi folks,
I do a lot of research and check several forums and come across those little known about apps that just make life better with your phone so I figured I would start this thread to highlight them and bring them more into the limelight. This is my list below and these are the programs that follow me always when flashing new roms, we all know the big boys like Titanium Backup etc but they are not for this thread so lets leave them out and see if we can't create a better experience for all One S users and get the dev's we feel deserving of some extra recognition for the work they have put in making our phones even better. Please where possible provide links to any app you add to make life easier and I hope you all enjoy!
Side note ~ First thing I highly recommend software wise is TWRP recovery, anyone still using CWM recovery please change to TWRP now! CWM is very old and outdated and causes more problems than its worth. I suggest using v2.2.2.0 as never let me down. See attached at the bottom to download it.
My List -
1) Flash Image Gui - Say goodbye to fastbooting boot.img's on ANY hboot this wonderful little tool allows the flashaholic in all of us to flash not only kernels but also radio's from within a rom! Simply flash boot.img and reboot to recovery, wipe and flash rom and reboot. Nice simple and essential in my book. I would also encourage people to buy the license for $0.99 as dev is very active to help and sort problems.
2) Ultimate Rotation Control - The one and only rotation control app that can REALLY LOCK your screen in ANY orientation and also FORCE the automatic orientation to override app specific settings. This is a seven day trail before needing to pay but it is worth it for the per app settings!
Market Link - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=nl.fameit.rotate&feature=search_result#?t=W10.
Thread Link - Not really a thread link but very detailed summary http://xyo.net/android-app/ultimate-rotation-control-0PkKMbs/
3) Velis Auto Brightness - I love this app! I hate the auto brightness handled by system but with this app I have FULL control of my auto brightness settings AND it has a cracking little setup wizard to help. Oh and the profiles settings is quality allowing me to for example have a profile for normal dark conditions (screen on lowest) or if I'm watching a film I have a movie profile to turn screen up to full. Also features smoothing controls and dev is always open to suggestions.
4) Button LED - All I can say is YES! BLN (Back Light Notification) for the One S. Never miss another notification due to the completely rubbish LED we have, from emails to messages and most things in-between this will allow you to have the back lights on the soft keys light up and pulse on and off when a new notification arrives and you get to set the blink pattern! Also features flashlight notifications too!
Market Link - Not in Play Store yet.
5) Screen Off And Lock - Free version does exactly what it says on the tin, turns screen off and locks phone, a nice touch is the working ICS fix which some other third party apps suffer where screen goes off and straight back on.
Included a donate version because the screen off animations are fantastic and you can play screen on and off sounds to if you want. Saves our power buttons any extra bashing and works a treat. It also makes my iturd loving friend jealous!
Thank you for starting this thread
And yes, Flash GUI is a life saver :highfive:
Guess I try Ultimate Rotation Control and Button LED because the led does suck.
Button LED is a ripass. Missed that from my old HTC Hero.
I always use the Power Toggles. Find it handy on stock rom.
Some older flashables don't have the updated updater script so fail with 2.3.1.0, everything I've thrown at 2.2.2.0 just flashes no problem hence my version suggestion.
CAPATITIVE BUTTON BRIGHTNESS
from HTC one x forum, works with the one s too.
You can enable or disable the button brightness. One s is not officially supported yet, but when it is, the app can dim the button brightness too.
Fantastic find thanks will be so useful for me when I'm watching a film at night on it being able to finally kill those softkey lights or playing games in low light, I always find them distracting
I would use this kind of lockscreen...I think full ring is more simple to touch
Do you know which is???
I've just ordered mine off ebay and if Titanium can't handle that mention to dev he is very responsive to feature requests. You can set where to back up too so hoping its nice and easy and shouldn't be too big of a problem to code if it doesn't work.
Em never tried Titanium Backup like that but can always move it over after.
"Kernel Tuner" for one to add, in case some people are unaware of the app. Even if you don't have custom kernel, also under misc tweaks, there is now an option added to the latest version on play store to use a regular cable for OTG. works awesome, have used it personally, but you will still need a USB hub of some sort to go from male to female.
And +1 for "usb otg helper.
One S | ICS Blue XDA Premium | MIUI Sense | Bricked Beastmode
i personally use Screen On and Off, works nicely.
