Just curious if anyone has managed to port the Sony X10 auto face tagging software to general android? Just after a piece of software that looks at a tagged photo and then scans all your photos on your phone for that face and re-tags them. The X10 supposedly does this just curous if anyone ahs figured out how.
Any help or direction would be great. I have heard about Recognizr but was wondering if there was something anyone could do with the already created X10 software.
thanks again.

This area looks like the best place to pose this question. I've been searching everywhere for some sort of freeware video editor similar to the SE video DJ, but have not come across ANY. Editing is a huge hobby of mine, and my device feels sort of "empty" without it. Does anyone happen to know of any good video editing software comptible with WM 6.1 (on HTC Touch Pro)? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
I've been through several programs and have yet to see something like this. Honestly, i'd be surprised to see a video editing program for Pocket PCs because it requires so much and i don't think that what we've got today is enough. If anybody has more insight on this, please correct me if i'm wrong.

googled and found this

Hello,
I have an Idea. This would be something really original and promising!
Is it possible to handle video stream from camera in real time ?
Can this idea be implemented?
Imagine software that could recognize simple objects like sphere, cube etc. This would be nice for beginning. There can be many purposes for this.
Here is some info I found in google:
http://mashable.com/2009/07/10/iphone-object-recognition/

And the Video of a Device which already does it! Amazing!
Does anyone know of Object Recognition software on Windows Mobile which works on HTC HD2 ?
there exists another thread here about google goggles. i think it's already released for android and in development for windows mobile! it exactly does the same like the iphone example...
that looks really interesting. hope it gets released soon.
I am an owner of an x8 SE and as far as i know Sony won't provide us with a multitouch software or at least double touch!there applications like games etc that need double touch...do you know or even have a clue if sony will support us with such a software or someone else could provide us of such a thing?
Hi guys!
I have to use this wonderful device in my car.
Unfortunately, I'm in difficult to find a car holder that allows to easily rotate the device, so I've decided to make it work in the landscape mode.
Is it possible to make Sense and application follow orientation by the sensor?
Does any software to manage this exists?
Best regards
Would be a first, or would it? At one point there was an app that could flip the home screen(IF that is what you are talking about). At the moment the name of this app evades my mind. If I happen to come by it, I will most certainly post again!
Hi Guys,
I´m thinking really hard now about buying myself the Samsung Galaxy Note. However, what I really need it for as wel, is navigating in a hopefully relaxing way. Over the years I grew fond of working with the TomTom Navigation software on my Windows devices (the HTC HD2 is now my latest), but untill now (as far as I know), TomTom has no real navigation software purely for the Android devices. So, I stumbled on to the "SYGIC" navigation software and started reading about it.
I read that SYGIC could give "some problems" on the Galaxy Note, but fortunately, I recently read (I forgot where) that people are working with it now on their Note flawlessly with the latest SYGIC upgrade. Also I read, that the Note could not navigate in "Landscape", wich I'm very sorry to find. However, could anyone please tell me if this is because the Note is not simply able to, or is it just the navigation software itself? In that case, could anyone tell me if "SYGIC" is able to navagate in "landscape" on this device, or, for that matter, can anyone tell me wich navigation software DOES navigate in "landscape" on the Galaxy Note?
And last but not least: if the Galaxy Note is NOT able to let you navigate in "landscape", are you guys familiair allready with some kind of a "patch" or procedure, that could solve this problem? I know that I had the same problem with my HTC HD2 at the time, but then I found a piece of sofware that made the TomTom software navigate in "landscape" as well.
I hope to hear from you soon; Thank you!

I can't speak specifically for the Note, but I have an S2 and it allows rotation in the native navigation app. I'd be very surprised if it doesn't work on the Note. Also, if it doesn't then that's down to the app, not the device (assuming of course that the Note does support rotation ))
There's app(s) available on the market that force specific rotation for specific apps - that may be helpful for you. I'll have a look and see if I can find one.
Edit: This will do the trick...

You can set specific things to happen on specific events, the one in question being your navigation app running. You can make it enable rotation when the app runs. I was hoping you could force orientation with it, but you can't. Still definitely worth a shot.
Thank you for your reply. I'll remember this link for the moment I'll have my Note...
