This is an optimized (optipng) and zipaligned ROM from the Sprint test RUU. It includes a tweaked Rosie with live wallpapers while in the Sense UI home screen thanks to my old friend mssmision in the vogue forums for using smali to reverse engineer the Desire Rosie.apk and import the needed changes into the Sprint Rosie.apk. This has all the stock apps plus:
Gallery3D with working rotate and multi-touch
Eclair deskclock with all options functional
Eclair Music.apk (to keep Eclair deskclock functional)
Launcher2 (from openeclair)
Nexus Live Wallpapers (MagicSmoke, Polar Clock and Grass work)
Stock Sprint Apps
AOSP Keyboard (Chose via input method)
Superuser.apk
You need to be rooted and flash via custom recovery. You must wipe/factory reset if your flashing from another rom thats not based on the latest 2.1 sprint leak. I recommend at least wiping dalvik-cache and always do a nandroid backup before you start.
If you have an ext2/3 partition on your sdcard you need to wipe that before flashing this rom.
This has the stock minfree low memory killer parameters. You can use autokiller or MinFreeManager in the market to set your own parameters.
You'll have much better luck using the livewallpapers from the Market. NexusMod is a great replacement for the stock Nexus Livewallpaper.
Hopefully soon we can get the Sense Live Wallpaper shown in some Desire videos working.

It wasn't that hard really, the only thing needed for the desire apk to work on our heroe's were correct resolution smali's. I used the rosie.apk from modaco to work on mine
Interesting. I downloaded it, but probably won't flash for a day or two. Can't wait for some screenshots. Not sure lwp's are worth any effort for me, but we shall see

Here is the new version of my modifications. I have also decided to keep the main look 'stock' with espresso bar. I am mostly going to be doing metamorphs for the themes from now on instead of making over 9000 flashable zips. Im sure this was part of our 2.1 corruption too mixing / matching apks from differnet rom verisons for themes metamorph just injects the pngs into the zip file so it seems a bit safer.
This is based off of damageless's release. I am OK with releasing it now because i got his blessings - The scene wouldnt be the same without him, thanks damaged. I left his update tool in here because were working on getting this in his updater/porting some of my changes up to his. Stay tuned --Looks like 2.07 already has some of my changes in it-- Glad to help out damageless

Before Flashing remove all widgets from homescreen for best results. Also delete /sdcard/Backup/Hero200/ if it exists- ive seen some wierd stuff with settings backups from other roms. Wipe dalvik after flashing. Should be nowipe.

-if you have issues with battery or awake time being 100% dial *#*#4636#*#* and go to Battery history -> Partial wake usage. See whats #1 and report back with how you go thtere. (this will not work in some other roms that removed certain apks)
-If your Rosie goes to HTC screen each time make sure spare parts has activity/process management set to normal.
-if you dont see animations or the animations are SLLOOOW go to spare parts Window animations -> full, Transition animations -> fast.

I just flashed zip & metamorph, this is awesome. My gps location finally work. You still have smallest filesizes & best performance even over regaw mod! I got 27fps in neocore too, WOW
EDIT- you also have MULTITOUCH GALLERY!! My hero would b prfect if u got the gallery camera working...

Just checked it out, its dying because it cannot find intent com.android.camera/com.android.camera.Camera from androidmanifest.xml I think its because our camera apk is different than stock android. I havent had much luck editing HTC xml but maybe gallery3d can be edited to call something different, ill look into it...

Sorry guys havent been too attentive to this, been working with damageless getting some of this stuff into his ROM so i can work on more tweaks/themes instead of supporting a separate update. It looks like so far he has taken some of the /etc/permission changes, optimizations & hexedits. I spoke with him and my build.prop changes will be making there way up soon...
His rosie w/ LWP is not in this ZIP natively - http://www.4shared.com/file/U8P__xf8/Rosie.html is the rosie.apk I optimized, just push it to /system/app (make sure your homescreen is saved first) This is in the curved rosie look iirc, use the metamorph to get back to espresso.
Keep poking around this thread & damageless one though, ive got some good stuff im sure noones seen before coming soon.

2 questions
1. i flashed this rom from and get stuck in a boot loop goes from the quietly brilliant screen to the sprint sprite screen then back to the quietly brilliant screen .. and repeats ... ive wiped both davilk and data/cache and still have this problem .. restored back to my stock 1.5 and wiped then flashed .. still no luck i really wanna run this rom .. ive been running the 2.5 version and just wanna update to take advantage of the new optimizations ...
2 if i do get this running and then use the dc updater will it still keep the expresso and other mods that Trev has made or will it just change it to the DC 2.7 rom ?

This rom looks very promising but it will not boot. I get an infinite boot loop and the rom will not boot. This happens with this rom and virus's rom only any help or insight. I have read superwipe works I dont know how to get it and I have also heard double flashing the rom helps but I have had not luck with it.

I had Netflix running on Decks 1.2d AOSP ROM which is based on 2.3.4.. so if it doesn't work on this ROM, it is most likely due to Sense + GB combo..

Hey guys, I wanted to make myself something completely stable and quick based on the new gingerbread OTA for the EVO. I figured I would share it here for anyone looking for a stable, quick, bloat free sense ROM. As stated below, the framework is cleaned of all extra languages, as well as some apps, but I wanna get this thing as small as possible and clean up the rest of them in time. This ROM is not aimed towards lots of system modifications, but more so taking whats there and cleaning it all up, giving you guys an OTA the way it should be =P. With that said, I thought I would just post it here for you guys to play around with. I will make this post look a bit more enticing with some screenshots as time permits so stay tuned. You can read the log below to get an idea of what to expect.
Release 2
-remove barnExtras for now, until I have everything working in it that I want
-Update base to 4.24 (newest Sprint OTA update)
-Replace the rest of aosp system/app icons
-Clean up more junk =P Rom weighs in at 144mb - full sense
-New boot animation, HTCs
-Cleaned up wallpapers, ringtones, UI sounds and notification tones
-Reverted to stock HTC lockscreen out of box
Release 1
-Supersonic 4.22.651.2 OTA base
-Deodexed /system/framework and /system/app
-Rooted with busybox

-Implement some AOSP icons to system/apps
-Decreased conversation list font size in Mms

-Espresso rosie theme / available espresso htc lockscreen
-Cleaned up system libraries / removed unnessesary libs
-Removed Google applications which are available through market
-Removed Sprint VVM
-Replaced HTC calculator with Googles
-Implements AOSP lockscreen by default themed GB style
-Added BarnExtras to personalize. Includes:
--Spare parts (modified, unnecessary tools removed)
--Development tools
--Add-ons (currently just VVM and espresso lockscreen.. btw, their links are switched. I'll fix that)

Update:
I went to RA 2.3, wiped all, flashed rom, reboted and got a reboot cycle, then keep pressing vol down, went RA again, wait, downloaded rom again on PC, plug USB and put it in sdcard, wiped all again, flashed rom, rebooted, same reboot cycle.
I have EVO 4G hardware 0003, Baseband 2.15.00.05.02, PRI 2.15_003, PRL 61007.
CM7 nightly #102 & GingerAleV4 roms run without any issue (GingerAle runing now).
I'd love to see an Odex version.

What does this mod?
Super Smooth Launcher is a mod that locks the frame rate during page scroll in Sense launcher (Rosie.apk) and ultimately delievers a smooth and lagfree scrolling experience.
Essentially it's an optimization which forces Rosie to flatten the layers depth effect in Sense widgets, this effect is resource heavy and the reason for frame drops or stutter. Super Smooth Rosie still shows the initial 3D effect, but then makes sure you have a lagfree experience on your homescreen
Back to stock: Just insert Rosie.apk from your current ROM in system/app folder of my update.zip and flash. Nandroid is anyway recommended.

If you are like me and have too many apps installed, page by page scrolling can just last a while, before you get to your desired app. That is the reason I made this 6x5 app drawer mod, that reduces scrolling by over 30%. It`s an old and popular classic I already pioneered on DHD. In my case 8 pages of apps are now reduced to 5
This Mod is only for deodexed ROM`s
Install: Just copy to your sd and flash in Recovery. Nandroid is as always recommended.

How to apply custom background:
If you like to add your own, the apk is recoded in order to allow you to add your own app drawer background.
1. Design a jpg with 540x760 pixel and rename that to hestheone.jpg
2. Open Rosie.apk with winrar and navigate to res/hdpi folder
3. Insert your hestheone.jpg in hdpi folder and close the apk
4. Insert the apk either in the attached update.zip with the example bg in system/app folder and flash

No - that`s not gonna happen, rosie needs the HTC framework.

All Sense 4.0 Rosie's are ultra smooth, since HTC removed all extra effects, that slowed them down in old versions. Just ask hamdir, he will agree.

I know that mod, but if you followed earlier comments from him, he even acknowledged, that`Sense 4.0 Rosie is on the right track. Anyway I can look into it and see, whether it can even further improve performance (but it`s already fairly good).

Also looking forward to your great skins for the One series
I will not publish Skins and Themes as long as m.10 files are locked. These are essential for a lot of changes and without these I would never be happy with the final result. I have a Theme and Skin ready, but decided not to launch it, since it just was not on the standard I could achieve on Milestone or DHD.
In any case Super Smooth is now ready on my One S, just needs a bit testing and I wait for confirmation from hamdir, that porting to One S is fine for him.

Pushed the Rosie.apk to my system folder and it won't recognize that I have a launcher. I'm am on complete stock rom.
even when I try to revert to the stock Rosie.apk the same thing happens.
any ideas?
After I applied the mod my 3dot menu mod changed,when I hold home nothing happens but the recent button is still mapped as menu?
