i have 2 PDA's, one is the first generation i-mate PDA with specification:
Hardware: Intel PXA263
RAM 128 MB
Flash 32 MB
ROM version: 1.72.00WWE
Radio version: 1.14.00
ExtROM version: 1.72.810
with Microsoft pocket PC version 4.2 operating system.
Is it possible to upgrade to WM5? and which ROM should i use if yes?
my other device is i-mate JAM 128 MB.

i upgraded my PDA to wm5 successfully, but what happened is that i backed up all my contacts and data to my SD card and since wm5 xbackup doesn't work i couldn't restore them is there any way that i can do this? please help because i couldn't find the write topic although i believe it's been brought to your attention before. it's just due to my tireness and it's 5 am in the morning here and i have working today!! :lol:

I have read llbasha instructions for upgrade, but I am not sure if this applies to my QTEK Pocket PC, model: PH10B. Here are some details of version:

I have tried Wizard Service Tool v4.22, but it does not see my device even though it can soft and hard reset it.
Please let me know if your instructions for Imate upgrade from 2003SE to windows mobile 5 can be used. I would like to eventually have Windows 6.1. My telephone is not locked and never was.

bad bootloader?

hello. i bought o2 xda mini with win 5.0 rom (maybe not from magician device). When i go to the bootloader (camera + power off + reset) i see screen with four colours and text : " IPL 2.06 " and " SPL 2.06 " at the top of the screen. My version radio is 2.06 ?? This is normal bootloader screen?
i was trying upgrade original rom and radio without any results and the update program don't identifies my verion of radio
What can i do with this problem?

edit: i now i have charmer rom on my magician device, so how i come back to the magician rom??

what is the architecture??? are OMAP based processor or Intel XScale Processor???

this is o2 xda mini magician device, Model No: PM10A (i read information on my device when i remove the battery) i think so this is a Xscale processor architecture! My windows mobile shows omap850 with 195 Mhz in the hardware information but this model must have 412 Mhz !
magician xda mini may have omap processor architecture ????
maybe someone upgrade this device with charmer rom by mistake. Bootloader is from charmer, maybe i must change this one on the magician bootloader and the next, install magician orginal rom?

CHARMER ROM WILL NEVER WORK ON MAGICIAN.
MAGICIAN ROM WILL NEVER WORK ON CHARMER.
you can just have Magician case on Charmer.

on my case device i find information : xda mini o2 and magician PM10A model, windows mobile 5 shows omap850 195 Mhz processor, thc core pocket media player shows arm926E 170 Mhz processor so still i don't now what is my processor architecture and what is my device model :/ what can i do?

The K-jam aka Wizard does not have an FM receiver so there would be no point uploading FM software.

This is XDA of course it is possible. It is even possible to upgrade to 6.5.
Of course there is no official upgrade, your phone will need to be unlocked and then flashed with a custom rom, but it is possible.
Have a little explore here. Read all the stickies and read the Elf wiki .
