I wonder if I could watch tv channels, on PC I use VLC player to open mms,rtsp, m3u or http links, which opens some TV channel. I would like to have a TV on my tablet, like I have on my PC.
Is it possible on android?

I have a linksys webcam that streams its output in a .asf link, however I have yet to find an android program out there that will stream the video. a few browsers like chrome and firefox will start to download the .asf file but does so in an endless cycle until it crashes or chops of a segment of time, which can be played back by a few video players ive found, however no player i have found is able to directly fead from it, so there is no real time viewing of the fead.
anyone know off hand of an .asf steam capable video player that works on the xoom? id love to use it to watch my webcams instead of using vlc on my desktop which is half way across the room where i usually sit and surf on the tablet.

I don't know if watch what i am seeing on the tv on my android device could be possible. I have a SAT decoder with a HDMI port and I want to do the reverse of Chromecast. Watch on my android device what the decoder is sending. Thanks in advance for any help.
You cannot as far as I know stream tv content from your tv to your phone the reason for that is your phone is for hdmi out and not hdmi in you can use your phone to stream content to your tv from your phone via hdmi adapter. There is a app for watching live tv on your android device called live media player and us live tv that can be found on google play store.
