[REQ] Stock N1 Lock Screen for Desire ROMs - Nexus One Themes and Apps

For those of you who do theming regularly, I would really love to know how (if even possible) to extract the Lock Screen from the stock N1 ROM (the sideways swipe with the option to mute) and apply it to a Desire ROM.
I really can't stand the Desire/Rosie Lock Screen. It is truly obnoxious for dealing with alarms in the morning or notifications/reminders in the day when I've got it tucked in the neoprene sleeve or my pocket.

If you delete the "HTCLockscreen.apk" from the Desire system/app you get this screwed up Nexus One lockscreen that looks rather weird.
If only I could find the original 2.1 lockscreen apk, is it even an apk at all? I could easily do what is needed to make this happen ._.

I agree. I dont like the Sense UI lock screen its ugly and plain. lol I would love to have the stock lock screen on my Desire rom. I've been thinking about just replacing the stock images but i have not got around it.

My problem is not so much with the visual appeal of the Desire/Sense/Rosie unlock screen, but with the "downward swipe" action. I MUCH prefer the sideways swipe action of the stock 2.1 ROM. I know that all the Desire ROMs all use a different partition layout, but I bet if one could figure out where the lock screen bits live in the stock 2.1 ROM they could be used to replace the Desire lock screen.
I'm just not nearly smart enough or experienced enough at this point to do so myself. Surely there is an experienced themer here who could give it a go?

As mentioned above, you could just delete HtcLockScreen.apk from /data/app_s and it will give you the stock lock screen. But this won't affect the HTC applications like the alarm and the phone that use the same screen.
Also, your homescreen will show in the background which can look kind of weird. But still better than the HTC one in my opinion.

Yeah thats what I did and the stock one shows up but like eclair said it comes out all broken. The lock button is placed on the bottom middle off the screen and the silent button shows up on the top middle.when you want to unlock you grab the unlock button and you drag it up and the silent button, you drag down. Its kinda funky but ill will take it over the htc lock screen. Im thinking there is more then just htclockscreen.apk. There must a code some where in the jar files where it defines the movement of the lock maybe thats why the stock one is screwed up after you delete the htc one. Unfortunately anything outside of delete and installing apks its out of my league so cant figure out how to make this work.

Wow, that's quite strange. I've never seen that. Granted I don't have a Nexus, but I've done it on every Sense 2.1 ROM I've had.
There's an application on the market called LockBot (it costs $2.49) that lets you pick whatever lockscreen you want.

I've had this happen a couple times on non desire roms. It's always happened when a device rotation has been involved.

Here are screen shots of the broken lockscreen in case some1 is wondering.

BTW the lockbot is cool. I tried it but it kills the one feature that i love in the desire rom. When you unlock it does not show the fancy weather across the screen.
I really want to make the stock lockscreen work. I mean it kinda is lol but not the way i want it. Maybe some1 can help us here. It seems not many devs care about the sense ui rom around this forum.

I would absolutely love to use the stock 2.1 lockscreen with the Sense UI too..I HATE the sense one..and even more annoying are the alternative lockscreens and how to incoming call screen goes to the buttons instead of a slider..half the time the screen doesnt even turn on or I'll answer/decline on accident..

This guide has a perfect fix, but its for hero.. if someone could mod thee files to apply to the desire Rom, that would be a great achievement. Im on desire now and I too desperately want stock lock.
I don't mind sacrificing the world clock;-)

No, its not just for Hero, just flash the "Just fix the lock screen" download, and it will work perfectly. Make sure you delete the lockscreen.apk from your system/app, I don't know what will happen if you don't..

Going to do a quick Nandroid then give this a go.

I can report works like a dream with the full fat zip file, HOWEVER I'm now able to unlock the phone with the old 'power then menu' routine that was so annoying on the Hero. Peaks and troughs.

I flashed the file to Restore the Stock Android Lockscreen

Its default HTC Lockscreen.
If you want stock Android Lockscreen - i find it here - geekfor.me/fixes/vanilla-lockscreen/

It doesn't work on the HTC Desire, you can try it at your own risk.

Method geekfor.me works fine on my HTC Desire. Firmware - r3 MDC

how did you get it to work on your desire? I flashed the zip but it just said error!
I also have r3 on my desire!

And what happened with lockscreen when someone is callin you?
Is it android or still sense lockscreen ?

[APP] 4G Toggle Widget v1.2 (6/18) - w/Sense disabled + SOURCE

Hey all,
Just got my EVO. I've disabled Sense because I like the regular Android interface (love my Nexus One). One thing I've noticed is that the 4G toggle widget is not available with Sense off.
Does anyone know of a 4G toggle widget for non-Sense users? If not I'll probably throw one together this weekend, but if there's already one out there I'd like to avoid the work (laziness for the win ;-)
Thanks.
UPDATE (6/14): Really close to done on this. Hoping to have it released tonight or tomorrow. Will keep you guys posted.
UPDATE (6/15):
Alright, got this done and it's working! Just install the attached APK and add the widget to your home screen. If you'd like to donate or are too lazy to download an APK, I added it to the market for a 99-cent donation:
{

"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Glad to be able to give back to the community after so long. I'd just ask you to please not distribute this APK elsewhere. Thanks!
UPDATE (6/19):
For anyone who wants to reskin or modify this widget, or is just curious about how it works, I've released the source here:
http://code.google.com/p/toggle4g/
This of course means it is now open source and yours to muck with and distribute freely (within the limits of the license).
UPDATE (6/20):
There seems to be a bug where the widget may turn your 4G back on after a reboot, even if it was off when you shut down. I'm looking into it but in the meantime, just be aware that this may occur.
Changelog (last update 6/18)
- v1.2: completely redid widget icon, added toast on toggle.
- v1.1: fixed centering, widget is slightly larger now too.

I don't believe this exists at all. I've never seen one.
Did someone say mod the Power Control widget? Hmm, yes, I'm almost certain someone did.
So who knows how to make widgets?

Sorry, I'm not really contributing here, but think it's ironic that you have "laziness" and "FTW" typed out!
Man I hope you can put this out soon. We NEED a 4g toggle.
I agree, I just activated my Evo yesterday and I love it! but like many of you I decided to ditch Sense in favor of something lighter (for battery life, and I like helix) but there isn't a 4G toggle anywhere someone help!
Add me to the list hoping for a toggle. While I'm at it, anyone know how to get the stock dialer and calendar on the EVO? I really don't like sense.

Yeah, I would prefer stock dialer, calendar, and contacts as well. But unfortunately those are baked into the build so you can't just replace them. You'll have to wait for a clean ROM.

How do you disable the sense interface, and can it be re-enable later on?
bhagiratha I used androidcental's youtube step by step as I am a Android noob. I sent you the link privately, it wouldn't let me post a link in here.
Hurry up Froyo, that will solve a lot of issues for me.

Go to Settings->Applications->Manage Applications->HTC Sence->Clear Defaults
Once that is done, you can hit the Home Key and it will ask you to select a home app, either the Stock HTC Sense Home or generic Android Launcher.
Yes, you can go back to Sense if you like, you can even go back and forth if you don't select a default.

Actually i believe as soon as the ROM gets de-odexed you should be able to swap the sense app for the vanilla ones no problem (hopefully). It worked on my Hero running FreshToast2.1 before Sprint even relased 2.1.
I have been searching the market every day hoping a toggle widget pops up some day, but it never does.
Bump! 4g widget! Please and Thank You! We would be indebted!

I started on it this weekend and am really close. Thought I'd be done last night, but making it all shiny, packaging, etc. is taking a bit longer than expected. I'm hoping to have it done today or tomorrow. I'll post it on here when it's done and probably put 99 cent donate version in the Market.

Looking forward to your widget

Fortunately didn't lose any work but have to wait for Windows to finish reinstalling...

I just tested it out and it works as advertised. I tried it in Sense first on the same screen as the Sprint 4g widget and as I turned it on or off, the Sprint one followed suit. I also tried it in the default android launcher and it worked great there as well. Very nicely done!!
The only suggestion I have is to center the icon. It sits to the left currently.

IT REQUIRED ANDROID 2.2
( Not sure if it works 2.1 or below )so dont bother asking why it doesnt work, PLEASE READ THE POST
***ICONS DONT COME WITH THE LAUNCHER, IT A CUSTOM ROM (MIUI)*****
it should work on all android phones with a 2.2 WITHOUT ROOT, but it probably look nicer, or better on android phones with a LCD Density 240, like the evo or droid x or etc,
BUT to get the landscape mod like this
you are required ROOT ACCESS AND AN ANDROID PHONE THAT HAS AT LEAST A 4.3 INCH SCREEN, NOT SURE IF IT WORKS ON OTHER PHONE WITH SMALLER SCREENS. BUT IF IT DOES IT MIGHT REQUIRED SMALLER DENSITY.
TO GET LANDSCAPE YOU NEED TO GET THE LASTEST LCD DENSITY App located here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=765639&highlight=dell
CHANGE THE DENSITY TO 160 AND LET THE PHONE RESTART. NOW HOLD YOUR PHONE ON LANDSCAPE AND IT SHOULD ACTUALLY SWITCH TO IT,
****WITHOUT THE DENSITY BEING ON 160 THE PHONE WONT RECOGNIZE THE SCREEN SIZES SO I WONT WORK***********
****DONT LIKE HOW IT LOOKS ON MY EVO ON LANDSCAPE CUZ ALL PARTS ALL KIND OF MESSED UP SO I PREFER ON PORTRAIT MOD, IT MIGHT WORK NORMAL ON SOME OTHER ROMS****
ALSO, DELL WIDGETS WONT WORK WITH OTHER LAUNCHER, JUST THE DELL STAGE LAUNCHER,
one problem i had was that the social widget wont let me sign on, not sure if it just me or it requireds something else, if anyone gets it to work let me know, evrything else works perfectly
this was tested on HTC EVO, if it doesnt work for some phones dont bother asking me why it doesnt.
HERES A VIDEO IF U GUYS WANNA KNOW WHAT U DOWNLOADING
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5NnvL22Y_gg
ENJOY...
download link:
http://www.4shared.com/file/o0CQSj5u/Dell_Stage_Apks.html
to download unzip the files (7zip) open the folder and drag the apks to ur sd card and than go to ur phone and use astro manager, or any other file manager and install like any other app.
(srry i cant download evry single apk its to big of a file)
download stage launcher apk first, and than the widgets.
update:11/8/10
FOR SOME REASON THE PHONE BUTTON, MIGHT NOT WORK IF UR NOT ROOTED OR ROOTED WITH CUSTOM ROM,
ANY PHONE THAT HAS A SPECIAL NAME FOR THE "PHONE" APK, LIKE DROID'S (blurphone APK)AND SOME HTC WHERE THE PHONE APK ITS NOT JUST NAME AS "PHONE" APK, THE LAUNCHER WONT RECOGNIZE THE "PHONE" BUTTON ON THE DELL LAUNCHER,
THE ONLY WAY I BELIEVE FOR ROOT USER ONLY , TO MAKE THE PHONE BUTTON WORK ITS TO REPLACE THE CUSTOM NAME "APK" TO STOCK "PHONE" APK WITH ADB PUSH OR ROOT EXPLORE, I HAVE NOT TEST THIS METHOD OUT YET MYSELF, SO BACKUP UR ROM BEFORE TRYING, IM NOT RESPOSIBLE FOR ANY DAMAGE.
(THIS SHOULD BE DONE WITH ADVANCE USERS ONLY, PLEASE DONT TRY TO REPLACE THE PHONE APK IF U DONT KNOW WHAT UR DOING, U WILL MESSED UP UR CUSTOM ROM)
I TEST THIS OUT ON THE CUSTOM MIUI ROM AND EVRYTHING WORKS FOR ME EXCEPT THE SOCIAL WIDGET.
THANKS TO THIS GUYS WIT THIS ARTICLE, AND IF U NEED MORE INFO CLICK HERE.

all launchers required there own framework...so thats why any launcher u used like launcher pro, adw, sense, etc cant used there widgets.
same with this launcher, Widgets wont work without the Dell Launcher.
and i believe if u included the widgets wit the launcher, the widgets wont work, its a good thing dell separate the widgets, so now it work for must phones.
Very nice I'm impressed landscape mode doesn't hold well with lcd density. I get a lot of force close but good app might keep around for a while with some work this could be a launcher to be recon with

Confirmed working on the Droid X. A little laggy at first, and it crashed in landscape (Tried again and worked fine, but the widgets are squished.).
Landscape worked on my Droid 1 stock density, surprisingly. I'm overclocked to 1.25GHz if that makes a difference.
EDIT: It works, but the widgets stay squished when I switch back to portrait and I get some random FCs.

even the SE x10 launcher mimics the design.

i lose? this isnt some type of argument or competition its just something ive noted
Its like the manufacturers cba thinking of anything so they bolt it on to a pre-existing look and feel as its easier
launcher pro and adw took the home part of the design from the n1 right? after that everything is pretty much unique
this launcher along with x10 looks pretty much the same as launcherpro/adw
only the widgets and addons that are different.
so sweett.. i wish i could
Just installed fine on my HD2 using meejay's froyo sense. It was crashing when i was using a 180 density (my usual) but hasn't crashed since i changed to 160, also landscape worked in 180. It seems it is playing nice with all my other launchers as well.
worked alright on my non rooted evo, kinda laggy between screens...but alright.
It works completely fine on my rooted Evo, but on the bottom dock, when I click the phone icon it either crashes on me, or "Application is not installed on your phone"

[Tips] SPB Shell 3D - Theme

I wanted to start a separate thread for people using SPB Shell 3d to discuss tips, hidden features, requests, post pix, etc.
Please keep comments about the price of the app out of this thread!
====================
I'm currently running imilka's Gingerbread Sense v0.1 on my HTC HD2. On this build Shell 3D *flies* - much faster then Launcher Pro, ADW, and Zeam. It's not even close. I tried to go back my my Desire HD build, and I found it a bit slow on that build (and slowed the overall phone as well).
On my current build, battery use is excellent. With a low amount of use today, I've gone through 40% of my battery in 10 hours (60% left). This is early, but seems better then other shells, or at the least not worse.
It is running 36-40 megs memory while running on my phone.
Here's the combined note of requests I sent to them:
First, before I send the list, it's MOST important to keep the overall speed and lack of lag in Shell 3D. If any feature on the list causes a slow-down, I'd rather keep the speed.
Likewise, while a slightly larger memory footprint is do-able, I wouldn't want it to get much bigger (running memory).
I'm sure many, if not all of these things are not new to you, but here's the list of things I'd like to see in future versions. I emailed a couple tmes yesterday, but wanted to send a complied list:
- In the full Calendar page, I would love to see scroling to get to more events.
- Speaker of scrolling, support for scrolling widgets would be a major plus, but I wonder if this feature causes lags & slowdowns in other launchers.
- Missing Matching Widgets. I love the look of the 'glassy rectangle' in the Weather, Calendar, Favorites. I don't like how the SMS widget has it's own look (at least put the glasssy look in it). On the widgets to add, please add rss (a simple one, nogoogle sync needed), battery (matching glassy theme), twitter, facebook)
- Change Application Draw button (the one in the draw in the bottom right. I'd rather change that to my own app)
- Option to remove buttons from dock (perhaps have no buttons but the carousel button)
- A number of people don't like the Autosort. They want blank space at the top & to be able to put an icon on the bottom.
- Change Default apps (so when I click Calendar, it runs Pocket Informant)
- Gallery widget not working? I get 4 buttons. The far left one is a non-picture folder on my sd-card. The far right is the gallery app. The middle 2 are..??
- Can each screen have it's own background color (like in the carousel previews)?
- Option for no Text Labels for App Favorite Folders
(will probably be more in the future
Things I Think are Not Needed:
- Resize Widgets. I've seen a few requests, but I don't see too much need for this. Would be nice, but not urgent I think.
- Change Rows/Columns. Same as Resize. I think this would cause your own Widgets major problems, so probably can't do this one at all.
- Live Wallpaper. Likewise, doesn't work well with Carousels.
- Transition Effects. We already have the Carousel. I don't think more are needed.
One more minor request to add to the list.
I currently have the small 4x1 (or is it 1x4?) Weather Widget on my screen. I find the display with the current weather + next 4 days kind of squished, so I'm currently using the one with the bar graph on the left. The graph is cute, but functionally useless.
Possible to make a Weather widget like it, but replace the bar graph with a battery meter to match the weather look?
Also - when I click on the Weather, perhaps shift over to the full pane weather panel?
Likewise, when I click on the small 4x1 Calendar, when I click it, maybe go to the full Calendar page (or at least an app of my choice).
Speed is still amazing on my Gingerbread/Sense rom on my HTC HD2. Going to test going back to a more stable Desire HD build & see how fast it is.
Don't know if anybody else has this problem but for me it is a very bothersome BUG. It will allow me to android widgets on any panel. However, when I reboot the phone, the android widgets disappear every time. I am running it on my rooted Evo with CM7 installed.
* A search funktion in the app drawer would be great.
* Multiselect for adding apps into a folder.
* At the weather forcast the CPU goes up to max...great if that could be reduced.
* Select multiple cities for the weather (panel and widget)
i cant even run the app lol i have a sprint hero running cm7 rc4. and its suppose to run on all 2.1 and up devices. they even say its for the hero. its really bugging me cause i've been wanting this since they announced it.

I'm using an Inspire and it runs fine. It does take literally 10 minutes to boot and "warm up", but its lighting fast after that. Been using it since the early test builds.

Anyone know how to get the contacts widget? They show it in the PDF manual, but I can't for the life of me find it. http://www.spb.com/uploads/user_manuals/SPB_Shell_3D_User_Manual.pdf

Assuming you mean the one with the picture of the person & a little button for dial and a button for sms - yes:
Add SPB Widget -> Favorite Contact (bottom right). Click the little + to add someone to the Contacts. Click the square on the far right to open up the folder. From this window you can drag your contact to the home screen. Click the green arrow on the contact to change the look to the one I mentioned (5 clicks).
waiting for the mods will be tough but I am trying my best to modify the look.

wrong thread
I have SPB shell 3D running on my Milestone. I am using the stock 2.1 rom. I couldn't get it to load on any of the 2.2 roms, but I didn't spend too much time investigating why. I have my Milestone overclocked to 900MHz with milestone overclock and have JIT enabled via openrecovery.
It runs quite well once it loads up. I used the "bulletproof launcher" script in this thread to keep the launcher from being closed, so far I have only had one or two crashes.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=991276
The gallery widget seems broken on my phone as well. The leftmost button loads a few random pictures, but the middle two buttons don't respond and the gallery launcher button does nothing, and then will put the phone into widget change/resize mode.
I find I didn't need any of my other widgets, but would probably use a good twitter/facebook aggregator. I haven't loaded pure messenger into it, but other android widgets appeared to work.
In 20 hours of uptime it has only used 5% of the battery, less than the phone being on standby, so I find it on par with Launcher Pro for battery use.
Hello, I install SPB shell 3D on my Motorola Defy and averything are running well, it's really the best interface. The only thing I would like to do is to display my own pictures in place of the one from Flickr, is someone find how to do that ?

I don't have a favorite contacts choice. The bottom right option is messaging for me. Do you have the market version installed or a beta?
Running on a 2.3 rom on htc desire and it works ok. Sometimes I have to reinstall app to get it to load. Contact widget doesn't show photos properly.

Ah ok I figured it out. This is really strange, you have to delete the default favorite contacts folder off the screen first. Then the option to add it as a widget appears. Really odd.

Android N Developer Preview

Get ready for Android N!
In Android N, Android TV users can now watch a video in a pinned window in a corner of the screen when navigating within apps. Picture-in-picture (PIP) mode lets apps run a video activity in the pinned window while another activity continues in the background. The PIP window lets users multitask while using your app, which helps users be more productive.

Actually there's so little to review so far...
The beta installed over the air after opting in on the Android Beta program page. After that the update came to my Nexus right away, no need to flash anything, it does everything on its own in a very Apple-esque way.
With every boot there's a pop-up reminding you this is Android N beta deveolper thing and blablabla.
Nothing new on the interface whatsoever, and it's totally normal since the Leanback Launcher is the same that Marshmallow has. The settings menu doesn't show in full screen as in Android TV but occupies half the screen and the navigation is more ore less like in a phone, you have to scroll down instead of sideways. Nothing new on the settings app that I'm aware of.
Regarding what's new, I've only seen that an app-switching option shows up if the circle button is long pressed, and you can switch between recently opened applications just as it would be on any Android by pressing the square on the bottom right.
The apps I've used (Archos Video and YouTube) show a pop-up citing errors about libraries and dependencies not present for some reason, but so far that hasn't affected the usage of the app themselves. However there's an odd thing: The video plays "smoother" that it should, as if some kind of pixel interpolation was present. The very same apps with the very same video files, boot the looks are as if you were watching a soap opera. I think this is related to the Nexus Player itself, or it's decoding hardware. I think I've read something about that here, citing frame interpolation of some sort.
Any ways, not much to review yet. The update it's crude, not even half baked and so far there's no reason for anyone to use it because it contains nothing worth of leaving the stable MM. I have yet to see the Picture in Picture mode, but have no clue on how to enable it.
I'm not liking how long pressing the home button changed to recently opened apps.
It was nice being able to use long press in Marshmallow for HDMI-CEC functions (like turning my TV on and switching the TV input to the player).
I notice the Android TV remote app doesn't work yet with "N".
Well, i did the noobiest thing. so I flashed the image on my np because i wanted to try it with twrp recovery, because i wanted to try it, but it all worked fine, but i forgot to flash the supersu file as well, so i lost root, and it flashed the stock N recovery, even though i KNOW that i didnt flash that in recovery. Is there anyway that i can fix this w/o PC? e.g. a oneclickroot, or something? cause im only 14 and my brother puts viruses on the PC but they think that i do it since hes young and they say that he doesnt know how but he does.......... my email is [email protected]

I also did notice that the remote app is not working. N is pretty rough and I will be switching back today, maybe I'll try one of the custom 6.1 roms instead of rolling to stock MM
The frame interpolation/soap opera effect was present in marshmallow also. The setting to change it is "developer options : general : hdmi optimization" set to "best resolution" for normal, "best framerate" for interpolation.

Problem is that the option isn't available in N's dev options.

Getting the "libraries and dependencies" warning in a couple apps as well, but like you noted has not affected performance.

How stable is Dev Preview 2? Anyone having any issues with it? The main thing I am wondering is if you are able to re-arrange apps on the home screen. That is the one thing I didn't like about stock marshmallow and is what has me on a custom rom. The only issue, the ROM isn't all that stable but I don't want to run stock for this one reason.

Samsung’s Good Lock app is a powerful lockscreen for your Galaxy S7 Edge

Bored of the default lock screen on Android devices, and specifically the one on your Galaxy S7 or Galaxy S7 edge? Samsung thinks you could do with a more powerful lock screen and has launched an app called Good Lock on the Galaxy Apps store. Supported on the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge, Good Lock puts a ton of functionality right on your lock screen and notifications area.
From being able to keep some notifications in the notification shade for as long as you want to putting widgets on the lock screen for quick access, Good Lock offers a lot of features. It even replaces the notification shade with an interface straight from stock Android – a sign maybe that TouchWiz will one day be closer to Google’s version of Android (the removal of Samsung’s default music player from the Galaxy S7 and S7 edge is a big example of that possibility).
In fact, if Samsung does remove the app drawer from future iterations of TouchWiz, putting widgets and other advanced functionality on the lock screen would make sense, though whether Good Lock is truly useful in its current state depends on how keen you are on playing around with such customization. Good Lock is only available in the US for now, but we have the APK available for download for anyone who wants to try it out. There’s quite a lot inside Good Lock, and we’re currently testing it out for a full review.
Grab Good Lock from the Galaxy Apps store if you’re in the US or from the link below. In case you want to uninstall the app, you will have to head into its settings and hit the uninstall button as Good Lock replaces the entire lock screen and notification systems and can’t be removed like a regular app.

Wonder what Samsung is up to... this smells iOS blur and look at all these icons in the "preview" images, completely redesigned. Is it a glimpse of the new TouchWiz perhaps? Time will tell
This is a totally unexpected move and it has some quirks but gets me excited for the direction Samsung is going. So happy
Mike installed just fine and rebooted. It worked for some time, but then it needed to reboot again and it was uninstalled. Can this be because I'm not in the US?
I'm using this now. There are things I like and things I don't, and things that I don't find useful at all. But the notification handling is a major improvement over current Marshmallow (Touchwiz or otherwize).
One major improvement, for me: I have a Tasker profile for home that, under Lollipop, turns off my lockscreen completely when I'm at home. Just push the power button or home button and I go directly to my home screen. No fingerprint, no pin, no swipe. Real handy. But it stopped working on the Edge with Marshmallow.
With Good Lock, the profile works correctly again!
Nice move from Samsung. I installed it and customized, I moved all the shortcuts from the LS and added a Weather Timeline Widget to quickly check the weather. The notification bar looks more like stock Android but I don't like the recent apps at all. I really like to take a quick glance on what showed on apps I recently used.
Is there a way to change that purple notification pull down to a different color?

Yes. Go to the Routines settings and then Default and change.
a short video showcasing it's features.
Any way this can be ported down to Lollipop?
Is there a way to remove widgets, once added to the hidden widget area?
It keeps telling me to turn on Location Services. Does anyone know how to disable that annoying pop-up?
Anybody notice Multitasking has been changed also. Wow what a change. I do prefer a preview of my aps
I liked it, but it's too early days for me to use as daily driver. It kept resetting the settings so was useless. I'm very interested to see where this goes though...
EDIT: nevermind... I had the default plus other routines thing messed up. Back in business.
Only thing I don't like now is the completely lack of color consistency going on between my Touchwiz theme and this Lockscreen stuff.
I've installed this on my S7 edge this morning and I'm pretty surprised that it changes the UI quite a bit, some of it I like and some I don't, there's still plenty of room for development but I think I will stick with it for a few days for now.
My mine gripe is the colour scheme is very inconsistent, I have changed the base colour but the shade seems off...
It is a mess. A nasty mess that should be killed with fire.
It would be pretty great if the location issues could be settled. The creating routine thing is a bit silly, but I'm loving the AOSP look and what not

Plusses and minuses, positives and negatives.....
I LOVE the notification handling. So superior to everything else it's not even close. I'd pay plenty for an app that brought these capabilities to my phone.
The fingerprint scanner is WAY faster now. Essentially instantaneous.
I hate the loss of the regular Samsung settings toggles and the ability to customize the toggles that are shown. Standard Android is a giant step backwards here. Fewer toggles, and no choice as to what ones are shown: how can anyone consider that an improvement? Only Googlely fan-boys who think any that comes out of Google is automatically superior.
I've come to like the recent apps screen, although the animation is a bit much. With "stock" Android, you can only fully see the one card at a time, and after a few days the stack of cards is so long it's a nightmare to find anything. It's actually easier to recognize an app icon than the glimpse of a screenshot as you scroll through cards, and I can find what I'm looking for faster with this approach than with cards..
On screen widgets are, yet again, stupidly implemented. Let me put a widget ON THE LOCK SCREEN, not on a hidden screen that I need to scroll to. With a fingerprint scanner it's easier to unlock the phone than to display a hidden lock screen. I'm not using this option at all. (Widget Locker got this right 4 or 5 years ago, but sadly doesn't seem to work on Marshmallow. Why can't Google and Samsung figure this out?)
On screen apps aren't quite as useless. You can swipe on an icon, then use the fingerprint scanner to open it, but it's at least as easy, and probably faster, to just use the fingerprint scanner to unlock the phone. And I'm not sure why a tap on the icon forces you to use a pin, while a swipe lets you use the scanner. Why not default to the scanner on a tap, too? It would be nice if you could open these apps without unlocking the phone, but be locked out of anything BUT that app (sort of like pinning). Again, Widget Locker got this right.
In spite of what some seem to think, the color scheme can be modified, and made pretty neutral and reasonable in settings. I'd like more granular control, but what's there is tolerable. You can also set your own lockscreen wallpaper.
On balance, I like it. It's clearly a work in progress, but notification handling alone is worth it.
Unfortunately, I've had to uninstall it. It's too buggy to be my daily driver. The home button doesn't always work, sometimes requiring two taps, occasionally not working at all. Sometimes tapping on a notification doesn't do anything at all. But when it works, the notification capabilities are brilliant, Brilliant, I say! I'm already missing it.
Samsung Rep^
Hey guys i got a bug since it has uninstalled by itself... Now my lockscreen is all black. I can't even see the shortcuts, but if i go to the settings the phone says that i got a wallpaper already set. Is there anyone with the same bug?
Sorry for my bad english
