Change homepage? Different browser?

Is there any way to change the homepage off that stupid "windows live" garbage so I can set it to google mobile?
Also, should I be using the included internet explorer, or do you think I should use opera mobile or another different browser on my vox?
I described it here (in german): http://www.gaehn.org/archives/224-Verbesserte-Startseite-fuer-den-Pocket-Internet-Explorer-PIE.html
You have to use an automatic translation service, if you don't understand german.
I went and tried to translate that with babelfish and it came up as very broken english...is there anyone out there who can explain this to me in english please?

how do i set Opera Mini as default web browser?

as in, when i click on a link in google maps, i want it to browse with opera mini and NOT PIE
side question, whats the diff between opera mini and the full opera mobile?
other than the fact that i need to pay
thanks
Did you search or RTFM???
Launch Opera, then Menu-Tools-Settings-Misc-and place a check mark next to Set Opera as Default. Not too hard to do.
As far as your second question is concerned, I'd suggest www.opera.com.
Opera mini isn't as easy as that.

So sorry. I'm using Opera 8.65 for Windows Mobile. It was real easy to make it my default browser. I still think Searching is a good idea.
Sorry about the misunderstanding
There is Opera MINI and Opera MOBILE
for mobile i know how to set cuz it's an exe file
but since MINI is a java base file and requires a midlet, i had to ask for more advice on how to do it
and as i suspected
it's more complicated than i thought
Thanks for trying to help, though, kimtyson

How to register Opera Mini as the default browser?

I have searched the whole forum and it seems this question hasn't been posted yet.
How to register Opera Mini as the default browser?
I've seen someone made a shorcut to launch Opera Mini without the need to open Java first. I've tried to use SKTools to at least lauch urls and htmls to Opera Mini but It didn't workout since it can only register exe files and not shorcuts.
Does anyone have an idea? Any help is greatly appreciated!
[EDITED]: Sorry guys. I guess I was just searching the wrong words. There is a lot of information inside the forum regards using Opera Mini as the system level default browser. I just wanted to do the same thing without MortScript.

if you are using 4.0 or 4.1 there is a c++ app that does the job for me (you can link to the app using 3rd party so can open opera mini without having to use java
the app is available in the list of software in the link on my signature (yes it works for wm6 as well as 5)
hope this helps
Chris
Hi Chris,
thanks for the feedback. I tried the Opera Signed and Opera as Default Browser cabs on the email on your signature.
Both failed to work. I'm running the latest jbed 2008.02.22 v.3.1 but on my SD Card and the latest Opera v.4.1 (not the beta). Do you believe that the patches are not working because Jbeb is on the Card?
Thanks again for all the support!

[Resolved] Obscure javascript textarea problem - IE vs Opera mobile

I'm trying to get the Javascript on this page:
http://alexking.org/projects/js-quicktags/demo/index.html
To work on Opera Mobile 10+. But it doesn't seem to work because Opera sets complete focus on the text area so buttons can't be clicked.
On IE it works fine, but that doesn't have tabs, so no use to me.
Are there any Opera settings I can change for this?
OK, solved this myself. Latest Opera Mobile won't work with this, but the installed default on HD2 will.
Moved as not software release.

touch.facebook.com instead of m.facebook.com, and enable Opera Turbo in Opera Mobile's settings.
