Hey guys... can one of you try to install this cab just posted in the Excalibur forum in the NRG Weather 3.0 thread ?

I installed your app... on the 96 dpi rom. It looks good and it works quite well. I don't really know what i did but I managed to make it look tha same on the portrait and landscape layouts. at first it would take off the background in landscape.
The X symbol is because you don't have the location ID for the city you are in.

tell more - location ID who? in the phone or what?

go to yahoo weather and search for location id. You'll find your city there.

i've got the right location number : GMXX4381
but by weather forecast there're the red X-Symbols again!

Hm I had this problem once, because there was no 10-day forecast! Yes, just what I thought. I tried your location ID and there is no 10 day forecast, that's why it's nt working.

Is it necessary to have internet access for you to be able to use a weather program? I dont have that kind of access yet with my provider.

Nope... it's good that I like it. Otherwise I'd have to reflash the OS.

I am using this for last couple of days and I find the following problems.
(1) It does not get uninstalled. Reflashing OS only removes it cleanly.
(2) Sometimes the font is oversized in the current weather panel which cannot be fixed.
(3) The phone also hangs or becomes non responsive occassionally.
Any solution to these

3) set update the homescreen to No. Otherwise the phone locks up.

Is there any way to use it with other non-slide panel homescreen like plugin?

No, it only works with WM6.1 Chome: I asked the same in the thread in the Excalibur section, and that was the answer.
I suggest you to try Mini Weather (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=392267); it works also with WM6, not as a plugin but redesigning the background (so using no system resources).
Choosing the right icons it can produce nice results: you can see here the theme I use on my Wings.

what about uninstall procedure? is there any fix for that?

Can someone post the beta VOX installer for NRG Weather 3.0? The link in the original post in the excalibur format is broken now and no one over there seems to have the file!

I am using Blue Elves v5.0 rom but the menu of LG Menu is useless to me. Otherwise is a great rom.
Before it used to viet version 52.

the multiple selection issue solved? (can not multiple selection, SMS, file explorer,ETC)
auto turn off issue solved? (TCPMP,TOMTOM,etc, auto turn off, screen turn off after approx.5min)
these are my most concern...otherwise, im using V52...waiting for Pham solving these problem.

According to the guys at pdaviet.net, best stable so far is v44...but I can assure you that v45 has no problems with multiple selection. v46 and up have it.
If anybody can convince me that v44 is indeed better, I'll go back a version heheh.

i just notice : with this ROM, we CAN CUSTOMIZE the manila widgets/icons!!! thats a good thing! i dont need email but would love to have others for example.

flashed few mins ago. all running, will see tomorow. the splash screen is gorgeous
BUT:
too many softwares in this build. light version would be good. for example RSS reader, core player, etc etc. which is not everyone will like to have on their elf.

well, i feel this rom has some issue with memory stability. sometimes becomes very slow. also too many duplicated softwares. example, it has 2 calculators, 2 notes, 2 media players, etc
will flash my elf again tonight. maybe will try gullum's or aman's.

I flashed this rom and it looks good so far but there are parts of the rom that are in Thai and parts that are english. For example the menus are english but the date is in Thai which means that I can't set the date because I don't know how to read Thai.
Does anyone have a solution?

go to start>setting>system>regional setting
and change region which u want then soft reset

BEWARE
PDAMOBIZ roms has an issue as it will change your original splash screen (smart mobility) with an ugly green screen that will not go after removing the rom and i needed expert help to remove it
so if you like their green screen or you know how to remove it go on otherwise dont

It should go by flashing a proper one over it. I got a green lined bootscreen when trying to flash a new one over my Orange one. Took a few setting tweaks, but somehow I got around it by getting the right padding size.

What ROM has this... I tested it and liked it, but lost it

Hello all,
Someone's 6.5 ROM has the ability to scroll by finger movement rather then the 5 way or simply tapping.
Meaning when you hit the start menu you can then scroll up or down by simply sliding your finger up or down.
I do not believe all the 6.5 ROMs do this.
Whos do?

I know Joshs and Anyrl's both do it. If you could tell me what the boot screen looked like I might be able to help more.

I have use Josh's and Anryls too, but both seem to be unable to change the time to US standard AM/PM, I know where the time settings are in Regional settings are, but changeing that still does not change it, This ROM it just works.
Having said that, I have not given up on testing others...

Interesting! I never had a problem with Josh's ROM's with the US standard AM/PM. I have one hermes and two Kaisers all using different ROM's from Josh. They all show the AM/PM. I do recall in Josh's hermes thread on how to change this. What version of Josh's Kaiser Rom did you try?

Anryl's ROM defaults to the 24-hour time format, but it always works for me when I switch it from 'HH:mm:ss' to 'h:mm:ss tt'.
Not sure if you've done it, but I always flash a stock ROM first, hard reset at the 'tap screen to set up Windows' screen, then flash the cooked ROM and hard reset again at the same 'tap to set up Windows' screen.

i've been running anryl's and josh's roms and NEVER had that problem

OK so I am a moron...
I just went to the settings again, clicked the time tab, then the lil dropdown and saw only the H and HH again...
BUT...
This time I noticed the lil arrow up and down and then realized there was more options then just HH and H.
Sheesh...

How to get rid of the topbar clock (WM 6.5.x)

sorry to bother you all, the question maybe looks stupid, but I haven't found an answer anywhere.
I'd like not to install cabs or stuff like that......... I'm quite sure that it might be done tricking some regkeys, is anybody aware about it?

Was looking for that answer too, because we already have the big clock of manilla so there's no use of having the clock in the topbar. Don't know how to do it also.

there use to be an option to turn it off when i had my old omnia but cant find that these days

was thinkin about that 4 weeks now.. what u can do is 2 use the battclock programm and place something diffrent over it , thats what im doing @ the moment hope someone is bringing a cab 4 it soon ..

Any hint?

i believe hdtweak program would allow you to do that. not sure if it would work with this device.

In WM 6.5.x I don't know, but in 6.5, in settings, all setings, Clock & Alarms, More, there is a choice to display or not the clock. Hope it helps !

It utterly, absolutely and definitively cannot be disabled in 6.5.x ROMs at this time. I'm genuinely surprised you haven't found this while searching as it has been answered many times before.

Setting -> All Setting -> Clock & Alarms.
'More' tab Untick the 'Display the clock on the title bar in all programs'
That worked fine on my stock 1.66 WWE ROM.

just use battclock then , u can even put a blank colored space over it ..or an image2match ur taskbar ...

I suspect you don't have a 6.5.x ROM then. The 6.5.x series have the Start Menu button at the bottom, rather than the top.

Sorry sir, I don't want to stir things up, but I think what you're saying isn't true
Have you ever wondered why some cooked topbars (showing either colored icons or different types of them) don't show the clock sometimes?
This is likely to mean that topbar clock is a customizable feature, isn't it?
Nothing is absolutely impossible, no wonder some cooks did it.

CHT 1.8 wallpaper problem !!!

hello guys !!
I have a problem setting a wallpaper !!!!!
when i select a wallpaper from the menu of CHT 1.8 ,portrait 480x800 it becomes white .
it doesnt respond to any wallpaper ,it just goes white ..
i can only set the default wallpaper CHT_black.png
so does the lockscreen wallpaper etc.....
what should i do ????
i didnt have this problem with CHT 1.7.1.

Meant to say too, try switching off htc sence and install it that way then switch sense back on!!

I had the same problem, tried everything and didn't help. I think that's a bug of 1.8 version cooked default in ROMs, because when I installed older ROM with 1.7 and then made an upgrade to 1.8, everything works just fine.

It's not a bug we noticed when testing it. I don't use a ROM with Co0kies cooked in, for obvios reasons, and don't have that problem.

Nahh ... im pretty bored right now to flash a new ROM ... i was hoping i could solve this ..

i had this problem too. i use tmousa stock rom (obviously cookies not part of the rom.)
is the "menu" or right soft key working for you? mine wasn't until i followed the directions found here... not sure if this was part of the problem but since fixing this things have been better.
what i did (convoluted but things are working now...)
1- deactivate sense. soft reboot.
2- reactivate sense. soft reboot.
3- CHTeditor - apply default settings. soft reboot.
4- CHTeditor - imported by settings. soft reboot.
5- CHTeditor - selected "HD Wall" under miscellaneous
probably too many soft reboots. not sure if anything above really did it...but after all the above i now have my nice bg and not my white one.
also, i noticed that the white background appears if i turn off flip clock....haven't investigated that one more yet. this works fine now.
wonder if it was all the xml's in the link above...

I have the same problem with 1.72 stock O2 ROM still trying things out to rectify it and the disable flip doesn't work either but hopefully can get the touchx tweak to work again.

from the screenshot.... it seems to me that you have enbled hd wallpaper but selected default walpepar to be shown...
