Opera Mobile 10 takes 20 SECONDS to start?? - HD2 Windows Mobile 6.5 Themes and Apps

I have a question folks. I tried looking for this problem in the forums but did not find anything specific... I am using Opera Mobile 10 beta, and for some reason whenever I want to start the browser, it takes me exactly 20 seconds for opera to start. On the 20th second, the red LOADING bar comes up and then my opera speed links open up....No other browser does the same, so it must be only Opera Mobile 10 beta. Does anybody else experience the same issue? its frustrating. Thanks guys!

This is not a common issue, and you shouldn't even be using the beta version anyway. The full version is out. Just point a browser at http://m.opera.com to download it.
If you still have the same problem then I suggest you try to figure out what other software that you have installed is causing this problem, because it is not Opera.

Thank you very much for the answer. I believe I am using the latest version of Opera 10 Mobile as that is exactly how I downloaded it 2 days ago. I can`t figure out what other software may be causing this as there is no software running while i am opening Opera...Do you think because i have 3 different Opera browsers, it may be causing this problem? It only happens with the Opera mobile 10... Does it matter if I install stuff on my SD card or in my system??
Edit: I tried reinstalling it...It has the same issue...
EDIT: I installed in DEVICE instead card, now it takes only 2 seconds to load... I guess that was the issue. Better make sure I install some of the apps on the device...

did you hard reset your hd2??

Javascript in Opera Mobile

I was using TyTN II before I got the fuze, and using opera on the TyTN II I could access hotmail and google reader's iphone interface through opera mobile(not opera mini). However I can not do that on the opera browser on the fuze. When I install macromedia flash player 7 google reader starts to work(however without the stars to mark the items) but on a soft reset it stops working, the starting page loads up but the items do not display. The same goes for hotmail which works with a fresh install of flash player 7(again inbox displays but nothing happens on clicking e-mail items) and stops working on a soft reset. I am confused as to what is happening here. Sorry if this has been answered, I could not find it. Any help would be appreciated. I don't want to change the user agent as that renders cingular video unusable for me.
Still looking for help on this issue......
I know what you mean. On my "good old" HTC Touch I could do almost anything with Opera, but now I can't with my Pro.
If anybody knows something more about this, please help us. I would really use my online stock-trader application again; now I'm stuck with the mobile version...
BTW, Could it possible be a JAVA-issue? Somewhere oOn JAVA.COM I read that they don't support Windows Mobile anymore?
Edit: just saw the Title: "Javascript in Opera Mobile", so it IS a JAVA-issue I guess...
Ya, I would have said to change the user agent, but you said you don't want to do that. As far as flash I didn't think that Opera supported it. Skyfire does. It does pretty well actually, to the point you can watch you tube videos on the actuall website. not the mobile site. It isn't quite as good of resolution, but you might want to give it a shot.
It's weird that the things I mentioned were wokring fine on opera mobile on my TyTN II, but have problems on the fuze. Like I said after a fresh install of macromedia flash player 7, they seem to work partially but stop working after a soft reset. There is got to be a solution to this. Advanced users help please.
are you talking about this? It works fine on mine.
[edit]
I don't know how exactly everything's supposed to work, but some portions don't work for me either, even under ie and firefox (desktop)
I think this is related with some kind of ajax library not fully supported in this current Opera Mobile version. As far as I can see for example at http://www.google.com/ig/i the igoogle gadgets simply don't get their content displayed (maybe a problem with iframe refresh?)
I add it working though with the latest OperaMobile cab version downloaded from Opera's website.
Is there a way to have that one running just like the preinstalled one and not as an alternate browser?
Just found another mobile browser, called "Irisbrowser", that almost supports anything. IMO its better than Opera but hasn't got the nice looks of Opera. But works fine with Flash/JAVA etc.
If any of you still have any problems with Opera, you can install and try the Beta version of Irisbrowser. It's available for free at http://www.irisbrowser.com/
I'm currently running Opera Mobile 9.5.15202 (here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=459378) and, at least with http://google.com/ig/i, it just works great!

Strange issue with Opera Mobile - Causes 2 Pages to Load??

I have a uk Vodafone TP which as Opera Mobile 9.5 build 1938 pre-installed on the phone (no option to un-install).
Whenever i launch the browser (most notibly from the internet tab in TF3D) it launches 2 pages, one for the website (either the the home page which is google.com/pda) or from one of the listed favourites and a blank page.
Any ideas how I stop the blank page from loading? it's not a major issue, just very annoying!
I have tried installing the latest version of Opera but I still get the same issue. If I point the internet tab in the direction of Opera 9.7, it's a laggy as hell and sometime refuses to load. Although independently from TF3D 9.7 seems to work just fine.
Any help would be mucho appreciated.

Check that what pages are set up as your home page, you prolly have 2 pages, just delete the one you don't want.

I have seen this before, but I don't know how to fix it. However, you can upgrade your Opera version with one of the 9.5 versions found on this site - that may help (or fix it).

Please Help....Opera Keeps Crashing

Every time I try to visit the pocketnow website on my TP2, my opera browser crashes and closes. It has done this ever since I got it from Verizon. It still does it after a fresh hard reset and with no memory card inserted. Please help me. Thanks.

Have this problem with several websites. Finally gave up and went back to Sky Fire. Much more stable, it is for me anyway.
That's what I was afraid of. Does anyone know if it is possible to upgrade the Opera 9.5 that is on the phone? I read somewhere that the Verizon version shipped with a older version of Opera 9.5 than the Sprint and T-mobile TP2. I am not really interested with Opera 9.7, because I want all of my Touchflo links to still work. I really like Opera and if at all possible, I would like to stick with it rather than switching over the Skyfire or Opera Mini 5.
i believe the problem is the amount of flash ads they have running on their page
You may also want to try Opera Mobile 9.7b (still beta, but free public download). I also use Skyfire, but I like some of the features on Opera Mobile. I just wish I could get the zoom bar to work on these other browsers...

[Q] Problems with Ninjaduck Opera Mobile 10

After 225 pages of reading the Opera Mobile thread I found no answers to these problems. Perhaps I missed them. After a week there were hardly any new posts on that thread, so I am assuming that it is not as active as it used to be. So I am starting a new one.
These problems are with NinjaDuck repack 1.3 ro.fl.xxx
1) Pages are displayed too wide. Even if the screen is landscape mode, mobile sites or zoomed views of normal sites display about twice as wide as they should be. In the stock 9.5 both mobile version of sites and non mobile versions that are zoomed to 100% would fill the screen horizontally, but not more. So no horizontal scrolling is needed. But now I need to scroll left to right in order to read most sites.
2) Sometimes I get blank screens loaded.
3) Most times I have to tap a link 5- 10 times before it will actually work. Each time I press the link the blue box shows but nothing happens.
4) Flash does not work, on any site. Not even m.youtube
5) In Opera 9.5 using m.facebook I could close the browser and reopen it dozens of times over the course of weeks and I was always logged in. In this version I get logged out of the site at least once a day, sometimes 2 or 3 times. And most times when I try to log back in I get error messages. I have to try to log in process several times before it will log back in. Sometimes it even takes restarting the browser, or soft resetting the phone b4 it will work.
6) Every time I use opera 10 my ram usage will go up to almost 90% with only 1 or 2 tabs open. This is with a fresh re boot and 50+% of ram is free before opening opera. With 9.5 I could have 5 tabs open and still be around 70%ram usage.
Any help?
I am using the newest USA tmo version of WM 6.5 The inbuilt version of 9.5 with that rom sucks!! I loved the version from USA Tmo WM6.1- wish I could have that back.
I would gladly give up auto-rotation and flash to have ALL the other problems fixed.
Thanks for any and all help.
Merge/close redundant post/thread
No need to open a new thread with same topic, this go against the rules, if your question has not been answered wait and have patience, Official thread is the most likely place to get your answer and donĀ“t think because you opened a new one with same question will help.
I use to had a Rhodium and used Opera 10 with no ant issue, of course never with a stock ROM, since day one I changed to Energy ROM and was smooth and able to open several tabs with no speeds or stability issues.
Thanks. Info is noted.

Opera Mobile and Chrome bad experience

Opera Mobile the address bar and search bar are very tiny and so are the fonts on all web pages are small also. I know I can zoom but I do not think I should have to do that. It is probably due to the Infinite's screen resolution but if this is the case why is it not like that across all browsers? I find Chrome to be very slow loading web pages, particularly the xda forums. The reason I still use Opera is because I can still use flash. I should say that I have only had the Infinity for 2 days but I have already unlocked the bootloader, rooted it, and installed TWRP recovery. I am still on version. 28 but only because I want to install nvflash and I still have not figured out how to do it and ADB installation is giving me a hard time. Anyone know of a more automatic (simple is good) way of installing it? Can anyone help me with these?
