I went to the white droid theme and now if I choose any other theme the time stays black (from the white theme) and barely visible. Anyone know any fixes?

you need to push the service.jar from the original rom onto your phone to get the time's text color to change

Ok so I was hoping to be able to copy onto SD Card and copy and paste in system/bin I didnt think would work but tried anyway. How exactly do you push?

Went to original ROM zip extracted the services.jar from the system/framework did the adb push to the device got the transfer time etc. booted up and still have the black time. Any other suggestions? Thanks for ya'lls help.

did you get an error message? doing it in recovery right? make sure folder is extracted

Love the font but I wish everything was red. The mix of red and green looks a bit strange.
I'm too lazy to edit the htc resources apk... .9 pngs are no fun, and with no /system write access, its a pita to test themes. I need my phone right now and seeing as how vzw is a cdma carrier, its a pain to switch phones. Believe me, the green bothers me just as much as it bothers you guys... but I'm just gonna wait it out till koush ports cm to our phones. Having the source for .9 pngs makes things a lot easier for theming, and I don't want to waste any time.

1) If I load just the framework file, will the stock Droid fonts stay in use? (would prefer those over your modded version)
2) Any chance you'd consider doing a blue version? I think the blue mixed with the un-editable sense green would go a little better than the red.

MY FIRST THREAD
I downloaded the OTA .zip off another thread on here (thanks!), and I pulled the boot anim from it. With sound.
THIS HAS BEEN TESTED AND WORKING ON NEXUS ONE!!!
Download the .zip below!
To apply this, use the same method as the DROID X boot anim:
1. Unzip the file
2. Drag both into SDK/tools folder
3. Go into adb and push both files as follows:
adb push bootanimation.zip /data/local
adb push android_audio.mp3 /data/local
adb reboot
Should work on most Android devices!

Thanks for this, worked perfectly. At first I thought the sound didn't work, but turns out my profile was just set to vibrate. I guess that's a tip... If you don't want the reboot sound, just set to vibrate before turning off your phone.
This looks really good, only wish the LEDs on the eye would maintain their motion a little longer...

Taken from here. I spent several hours today along with Idkwhothatis123 (from xda here ) blending fold, fly-in and bounce to get it how we liked it I'll make an flashable zip for people upon request because everyones framework will be different with themes/roms etc.
this is a link to a zipped anim folder you can replace by
This is no longer necessary unless you would rather use adb. there is a metamorph file attatched download that and put on the root of your sd and download metamorph from the market its free
Code:
adb shell
# mount -o rw,remount -t yaffs2 /dev/block/mtdblock3 /system

adb pull /system/framework/framework-res.apk
Then open up the res.apk with your choice archive manager. Replace the /framework-res.apk/res/anim folder with the one I've provided.
Reboot into recovery and

I am a N1 user with MIUI ROM..
Can you give me those files only(from anim folder) which you have modified? If I replace the whole folder, then it stucks on bootloop..
Also the lockscreen of MIUI is different, so please dont give me the files which has animations for the lockscreen..

But then it stuck in bootloop..
how can i use this so that it doesnt break my theme

select pick existing theme
navigate to the xml included
Watched the video, installed with metamorph, had to install androzip, rebooted and immediately wet myself.
Freaking awesome. I installed myn's(?) But the animations were annoying.
These somehow aren't and have so much eye candy my left eye is now in a diabetic coma!

Hey guys, I downloaded the new SDK and opened up the ICS system.img. I made a .zip for the Roboto font and I am uploading the entire /system partition as we speak.
Just so you know, the current smali/baksmali doesn't work. Even tried the modified baksmali for HC, so until these tools are updated, these apps can't be deodexed.

just tried to install gmail apk on sg2. 'there is a problem parsing the package'
Everything is now up - font, /system partition, and just the apps from /system/app

You can't install it like that. It's a /system app. You have to push the .apk and the corresponding .odex file to /system/app, chmod 644, and possibly reboot and prepare for a ton of FCs.

The apps min sdk version is 14 so they will only work on ics roms

hmmmm...they really look nice in the screenshots but you really should say strictly for ICS roms in all of your flashable zip posts that require an ics rom because the way you post it makes it seem that thats the theme of them..or atleast thats how i saw it which is why i flashed on top of barebones now all i get is a blank screen(yes i can get into recovery) was wondering if you or anyones else could make/share/show me a flashable zip with the original softkeys of cm7 because id rather not reflash the whole rom. please someone respond soon. (and of course my dumb a** didnt backup) or let me know if reflashing the rom will erase my settings or other misc. things ive changed.
well yea i just made a backup of my no screen showing and reflashed barebones which did reinstall/change certain things so im hoping a version of the softkey.zip for cm7 would help if i restored back then flashed that so hopefully someone will help me out soon :/
If you have the ROM on your sdcard and adb setup, you can adb pull /sdcard/wherever/the.zip is to your computer (or just go download the ROM) you can pull what you need from it and adb push the.apk to system/where/it/needs/to/go. Probably also need to adb shell chmod 644 path/to/the.apk and reboot.
I have already made special zip's for myself to use with zipthemer. the zip's only have the theme mod in them and the app will create a update.zip and a undo.zip from whatever ROM your on that you can flash in recovery. If the OP states he does not mind, I'll post them.
Just reflash your original ROM. I will edit the OP.

And your special zip method thing sounds good if ima understanding correctly. From what I read are you saying that me flashing that will remove the last flashed item?

If you read what I edited you would see I already did that but id rather not go through all the work of removing and fine tuning the ROM again when I believe just reflashing a correct softkeys.zip will fix it.....I think....hope
