I have a quick question. I am looking for 2.1 icons and even a 2.1 white taskbar. Godzon has some listed there, my question is, will they work on the 2.1 roms?

search for metamorph in the latest threads. they have the 2.1 icons you can install without ever booting into recovery

They change the icons. I'm currently using GODZSON's "old" taskbar with dialer; before I was using Weaponoid's (little android bots) both are real nice and I highly recommend them. They have practically every icon used by our phones customized. If you find one that is still stock let them know and it will be updated ASAP. GODZSON released a "newer" taskbar with dialer and I think CHUBBZ made a matching rosie. You should definitely try them out. I don't use eamerica's bcuz I don't like the black around the clock (but that is me) His taskbars look like the vanilla android taskbar. Hope this helps.
Here is an update.zip to get 2.1 app icons for Darchstar's AOSP 2.1 ROM.
This uses some icons from the Desire ROM, some from Espresso and some from stock Android 2.1. Hope you like it!
This also changes the colors on the Power Control widget from blue to green (I think green matches the colors in the rest of the ROM better, personally).
Also you will notice that in the Widgets menu the old Calendar icon is used. I searched for that icon everywhere and couldn't find it If someone else can let me know and I'll change it.

Before you say anything, yes, I DID A SEARCH. What I'm looking for is a white vanilla taskbar with all the vanilla icons. That's it, no rosie or lockscreen or any mods. Just the vanilla taskbar. Can anyone help me with this? Thanks in advance.

What rom do you use? And what lockscreen do you use?
Because some of the icons that the task bar uses is inside the same thing that the lockscreen uses. (im pretty sure) So when changing the taskbar, it will change your lockscreen. All the other stuff is simple, just delete rosie.apk and dialer.apk and so on and rezip the file.

It would have to be a MetaMorph then, as the taskbar elements are spread across the same files that contain the rosie and the vanilla lockscreen elements.
Why not just take an existing one and replace the roise and lockscreen graphics with the ones you want?

It wouldnt look right, the icons are big black boxes that blend with the taskbar. Make it white and you have big black box icons with a white taskbar. And you would have to change the color of the time.

Then why not go in the res, and make the icons transparent? (the black box part)
ANSWERS TO QUESTIONS: I am running DamageControl 2.07.2, and what I want is NOT an HTC taskbar with a white background, I want an actual AOSP taskbar. Just like the pic posted above. EDIT: I'm also using the android 2.0 rotary lockscreen.

Pull the one out of my ROM. I took it out of DarchDroid, which is AOSP.

The taskbar is in framework-res.apk, right?

some of the files are in com.htc.resources too like location 3g and I think signal

Hi All,
Im happy to release an update to a port of 1 of my favorite themes. This is a port of Haxzmatics Gala S theme 0.4 for Enomthers 2.14.4 standard ROM, as this is my ROM of choice right now.
I have also included my favorite font Comfortaa, a MIUI themed version of Fancy Widget and the XTG theme for LauncherPro Plus that both go well with the Gala S theme.
Lastly I have included my own theme for the dialer. I had some issues with haxzamatics dialer and I believe mine should work better.

To update font colour on the top bar and menu, go to Spare Parts, then scroll to Status Bar Options, Status Bar Colors, Set All Colours and then from there you can set any colour you wish.

This theme is to be applied to the manup themed version as the stock version does not include the black bar. If you are using stock you could first flash the manup themed version then my updates and it should fix your problem.

Yes it does theme the camera. One glitch is that it will replace the HTC 720p camera with the themed older camera. Therefore if you want to keep the HTC 720p camera (which Im sure you do) you have to uninstall the HTC 720p camera via spare parts them reinstall it the same way.
I will probably just remove the camera theme as Im not sure how to get around this.

But your dialer is different than Haxzamatic's. Anyway, I've done a mix of your contact.apk, Haxzamatic's, and then I colored in some more of the status bar icons like the blue battery.

Right, that was the older version for 2.10.2 i think. It included a diff keyboard that I ported from somewhere else. Cant remember at the moment. The latest port includes Haxzamatics keyboard. Anyways, glad it worked out for you.

This is why Enomther didnt include Camera in his theme template

Which theme; Drop or GalaS?
In both I simply changed the Maps icon. So im not sure what could be causing the FC's. Are you both using the latest version?

Not sure about everyone else but I want just a mod to make the taskbar clear and this is a theme. All the other links after the initial post are for 2.1 only as far as I can tell

This will keep other preferences stock - it is not possible to have an only taskbar mod.
In other words do not use if you have other themes applied.
Install launcherpro or burst's theme for your bottom bar
