(request) neural network live wallpaper from official droid 2.1

Hey all! First and foremost thanks a lot for the awesome morphs, themes, ports, and apps! You guys are amazing... I got the 2.1 update for my stores droid and the neural network live wallpaper is awesome... any chance of getting it ported folks? Ill donate for a nextheme (green & blue) version... just wonderin and thought id ask. Keep up the good work everyone

No, it seems Motorola made their own custom version. It definitely looks interesting.
I could easily rip it from the official Droid 2.1 update zip, but I don't feel like downloading it, and there could be a chances that it may not function properly, or not be made for our screen size.

Hmm what does this look like?

It is all red cross-hairs that are a lot thinner than the nexus lwp... also they have a fade effect that kinda resembles a comet trail... the background is also different kinda gray fading metallic grating texture. to sum it up its AWESOME. I seen a youtube of it somewheres.

I pushed the wallpaper to my Nexus, but like I predicted - it doesnt work. I pushed the LiveWallpaperPicker.apk, and the LiveWallpapers.apk from the Droid update and it still did not function properly. I'm probably not doing something correctly, or, there is just more that needs to be done.

i used root explorer and tried them both as well as changing permissions ro read/write wich at least replaced the live wallpapers home menu link but thats as far as i got... i noticed theres .odex files and im thinking maybe they need de-odexed... though i dont know and could be wrong as i am not no where near that knowledgeable about porting apps... all i can do is... USE THE SEARCH BUTTON ;-) and fallow directions!

do you have access to the 2.1 droid dump?? it probably needs libs for it to function

I can't remember which Dev did this, but there is a LWP out there that modd the proginal Nexus LWP. Search for the Dev and request it from him. Why port something that can probably be modded from existing work?
Just a suggestion.

Chris Soyars did I believe.

I copied it from other ROMS. I've gotten as far as it being listed with the other live wallpapers, but it continuously force closes.

Does anyone have a link to the Droid 2.1 dump? Ill try to tinker with it.

um... i dont think its the same as the one i got with the official ota 2.1 update... it is totally different from the nexus one aside from the fact that it has cross hairs. i want this so bad in green especially!

I would pick this over the Nexus ... I admitted it, shoot me!
Any progress though as my HTC Desire is very interested in this ...

its called NexusMod and its in market..

Pete at alldroid or Blackdroid at droidforums.net have modded versions of this wallpaper try one of them for it

Could someone please give me a direct link so I can download it straight to my Desire. Do I need root for this?

That video showed a custom exploding Droidlife boot animation but I didn't see the Droid version of the live wallpaper. Have any other links?

[REQUEST] [WALLPAPER] HTC Sense LiveWallpaper for CM7

Does anyone have a working HTC Sense LiveWallpaper for CM7 or can make a version that works with CM7

Unfortunately, the HTC Sense Livewallpaper is ripped from HTC Sense Froyo.
So most likely you have to wait for a HTC Sense Gingerbread phone with the livewallpaper first. If I'm not wrong, you can't really hack the Froyo one to the Gingerbread rom because the libraries aren't updated yet.

Is musashiken's post the final answer with this? I too would love this to work with CM7/GB. It's one of my favorite live wallpapers. I'd be happy to 'buy a beer' - actually make that a couple beers to anyone that can make this work!

i cannot find the settings any where

That's because it doesn't exist in the Sensation.

there is a app somewhere around here that works pretty good

im still trying to figure out why HTC took away some nice features that the older sense versions had..

I always thought this was sad.
I even mailed Pano guys from the iPhone as that works pretty well - they said they would make an android version but not seen anything yet.
galaxy S 1 had a feature for panorama which was half decent - not sure why this isn't in yet... photostitch and other apps I tried didn't work so great imo... not sure if they have improved in the last 6months or so...

It's one of the first type of Live wallpapers I've searched (bokeh lights) in the Store when I've got my phone, and since I couldn't find one, I made it myself (I hated the lack of a simple one without a billion ads and tricks).

Had a good friend ask me if I would Bring back the old htc live walls I figured why not, so I figured there might be a few others who miss them also enjoy!!!
This mod has only been tested on Viper 2.5 but should work on similar bases. Feel free to use and share this mod just mention me if you do

Thanks, I was able to get the Lava live wallpaper to work but not the Weather Live; the HtcWeatherLiveWallpaper.apk is showing as 160KB... was anyone else able to?

I think you boot into recovery and flash them from there.
I also have been looking all over the place to find this live wallpaper. Some people followed a paid-app alternative, but this is not something I am willing to do myself since the animations are not made by the developer, but from HTC...
I will try this zip file out on my M7...

I tested the *.zip file and it works partially. The Lavalamp live wallpaper works, but the weather live wallpaper only shows the static "sunny" image. Which was no surprise, since the *.zip file was too small to contain all the weather animations... Would someone be kind enough to upload a complete version of this?

Super old thread... I just flashed the file on my oneplus one running CyanogenMod, but when I try to select either wallpaper they crash. Any suggestions?

You can not flash sense Live wallpapers on a OnePlusOne with CyanogenMod. You need a HTC device, I think.
