Motion detector

...i am searching for an app that works like a suirvellance camera on my tytnII.
..Everytime the camera reveals a movement, it save the video, make a photo, give a sound alarm or/and upload something on an ftp
...For symbian phones there are a lot of those apps, but i've never seen anything like that.
The only application like this example, is JGUI Invisible shooter.. but other apps will be appreciated (maybe with more functions)
Anyone know something about?
CoolCamera from Ateksoft had that option

Any software that will record video and overlay GPS info?

Is there any software that will capture video on my Touch HD and overlay GPS info and time? Or any hints on how to do this in code?
Cheers.
Paul.
Im also in a search for this kind of app, but so far the best i find is live media and it does not overlay gps data in the video but it saves gps data as separeted file... So I really hope someone comes up with some app that works with incorporated overlay data soon.

TomTom zoom issue

I searched through the forum but couldn't find an answer so I hope this hasn't been covered yet.
Running the VGA version TomTom on a Diamond2 works like a charm. By only issue (other than the lack of elevation data) is that when driving and using the automated zoom function the 2D map zooms out too far so you don't see smaller roads anymore.
If you would run this on a VGA device it would chose one zoom level further in which is just right.
Is there any way to influence what zoom level TomTom uses when in automatic mode?
in the options, Change Prefferences find 2D/3D maps and set it to 3D only, it wont zoom out then when your driving.
Thanks! But unfortunately I only use the 2D view and it is the details I am missing in the standard zoom level.

[Q] [Request/Brainstorm] Speedometer Camera Overlay

First - Thanks to everyone on these boards for their endless efforts to improve our devices and Android as a whole.
I would like to know if it would be possible to create an app that would overlay a GPS Speedometer over the video camera while the camera is recording video. So as you are recording a video from your window mounted N1 you can also see how fast you were traveling. I am attending a driving school at a local track in the near future and would like to record video of the laps and see the speed I'm traveling at different points on the track. I know there are free GPS apps available and obviously we can record video, but is there a way to combine the two in a kind of augmented reality app?
I would be grateful for any input. I know nothing of programming myself, but I'm willing to learn if someone can help me get started in the right direction.
Thanks

streaming upload bandwidth

Hello,
i tried some apps that do streaming of live video got with the camera of my smartphone
(example: live video broadcasting apps, video call apps like skype, but also remote control apps like teamviewer when the (remote) camera is opened)
I found that most of them have a big data consumption, and there is not way to limit this consuption.
All these apps use the camera, and i suppose that the data consuption is related to the resolution and frame speed (fps) of the camera.
I think that these apps get somewhere the default resolution and fps of the camera to be used for the streaming.
I wonder if there is a way to set these defaults to a lower value (resolution, fps): this could be useful to reduce (up)streaming data consuption.
My (old) smartphone is rooted, so if needed i could modify the system files holding such (camera) parameters .
Do you have any suggestion, do you think that such system files do exist,
and the default camera resolution/fps can be lowered?
And do you think that this can impact on upload streaming data consumption?
Thanks!
Lodovico
